jungkook was pacing through the living room of his apartment, biting his nails and whispering things to himself. that, until there was a knock on his door.

namjoon opened the door to let taehyung in, "he's been like that since he woke up." he told taehyung who nodded and quickly went over to his boyfriend.

"baby, what's wrong?" taehyung said as soon as he took hold of the younger's hand. "stop pacing and look at me." he demanded softly which made jungkook do as he was told.

"i don't know if it's obvious, but i'm really nervous. what if your parents don't like me? what if they think i'm just a kid? what if they didn't want me?" jungkook voiced all his thoughts out loud, and that had taehyung sitting him down as he sat next to him.

"baby, look at me. since when do you care what others think of our relationship, hmm? weren't you the one who taught me how to not listen to what others have to say? you taught me that it's okay to love whoever i want to love, so don't back out on me now. plus, my parents will love you, you don't have to worry about that. you proved to me that you're not a kid, you're a whole ass man, okay? so stop biting your nails and calm down. there's nothing to worry about."

jungkook nodded slowly before he threw himself in the older's arms, "i don't know what i would've done without you." he whispered into taehyung's neck.

"well without me, you wouldn't be meeting any parents so you wouldn't be here in the first place but sure." taehyung giggled as jungkook playfully bit his neck before moving back and looking at his face, "i love you." he said as he kissed taehyung's forehead who smiled and said it back. "i love you."

now the two were on the train, on their way to taehyung's hometown to meet his parents who were really, really excited to see their son's boyfriend.

jungkook was bouncing his leg up and down until a large hand rested on his knee, "it'll be okay baby. don't overthink it." taehyung said as reached his hand to the younger's lips to take the bottom lip from between his teeth, "and don't hurt yourself." he whispered as he kissed jungkook's hair who quickly laid his head on the older's shoulders.

"we're here baby, get up." taehyung whispered to jungkook who had fell asleep about an hour ago.

the couple got off the train and jungkook instantly recognised the man who looks exactly like his boyfriend. "i see where you got your good looks from." he whispered and taehyung giggled lightly, "shut up." he replied as they reached his father.

"taehyung. i missed you son." his father said as soon as they were close enough. taehyung hugged his father before telling him that he missed him too.

"hi." jungkook awkwardly let out when the man looked at him. "hello there, young man. you're quite handsome, aren't you?" chiwon, taehyung's father, said, which had taehyung glaring at him, "don't be embarrassing just this once, please."

jungkook giggled at that as the three men got into the car and drived home.

jungkook's eyes went wide when the car stopped in front of a really big house. he didn't know his boyfriend came from such a wealthy family.

taehyung merely shrugged at his boyfriend's reaction before taking his hand in his own and leading him to the front door.

a smiling woman stood behind the door, still smiling as she greeted her husband, then flew over to taehyung and squished him in a tight hug before moving on to jungkook.

the woman hugged jungkook before pulling away to look at him, "i can't believe my son is dating a handsome man like you."

taehyung glanced at jungkook to see his reaction that he knew too well, "mum stop, you're scaring him." but his mother decided to ignore that as she took jungkook's arm and walked him to the kitchen to show him all the good food she prepared.

twenty minutes later, taehyung thought it was the best time to save jungkook from his own mother, so he walked to the kitchen. "mum, do you mind? i'll give jungkook a house tour."

his mum cheered happily, "yes show him around. make him feel like home."

when the two were away enough from his mother, taehyung apologised, "i'm sorry about that, she gets really excited sometimes."

jungkook chuckled, "i see where you get your excitement from. and it's okay, i loved spending time with her, she's so sweet."

jungkook held taehyung's hand before kissing his forehead and telling him, "show me around then."
