Here ya go! Enjoy! Mystery cliffhangers... mwahahahaha!
The sound of beeping entered Robin’s ears and buried his head under the covers. The beeping kept going and Robin moaned as he turned to face his clock, five am. He hit the snooze button but his alarm clock wasn’t going off, it was his communicator.
“Oh, its my communicator… it'll turn off in a second… zzzzz… Wait! My communicator!”
Robin bolted upright and was now wide awake. He quickly looked at his communicator. Crime alert. He sighed as he scanned for a name. He thought of some of the most annoying villains who would attack this early just to get on his nerves.
“Control Freak, Red X, Kitten, Johnny Rancid…” The list continued in his mind as he realized many of the villains they fought were really obnoxious. The name of the attacker finally appeared on his communicator and his heart stopped. His eyes scanned for any other names… none. He leaped up and ran out of his room and went to wake up the other Titans.

The Titans that were now in uniform ran into the common room with a sluggish Beast Boy trailing behind.
“Why does someone have to attack the city this early AGAIN!” He whined as Raven rolled her eyes but instantly regretted doing that. She saw Beast Boy look over at her and she instantly looked down. Her mind was wandering, she was not focused at all. Ever since what Beast Boy told her yesterday, she couldn’t face him- or even look at him. “Raven… you belong with me.” “Raven… you belong with me.” That occupied her mind all day and all night. She couldn’t get rid of his words echoing through her mind. She was distracted and confused, and ashamed. Right after Beasts Boy uttered those words, Raven was scared and panicked. She opened a portal underneath her and went through it, transporting her far away from the Tower. She didn’t know what to say to Beast Boy… or even what to do…
“Raven!” She was snapped out of her trance and faced Robin.
“What?” She asked. Everyone looked at her with concern.
“Are you the okay?” Starfire wondered.
“Yes, now who is the villain that made you apparently freak out?” Raven questioned. Robin’s face turned to stone.
“It’s Cinderblock.”
The Titans glared at him.
“Really, Cinderblock? Is that who you were freaking out about? We have beat him a million times.” Cyborg told Robin.
“Yeah dude, what’s the big deal?” Beast Boy asked.
Robin sighed and cleared his throat.
“Look, I promise I will explain everything when I get back… trust me, it is important. But we need to stop Cinderblock first.”
The Titans nodded, that answer satisfied them for now.
Robin uploaded the coordinates to his R-Cycle in a matter of seconds, he turned around and said “Titans GO!”
The Titans ran out of the Tower and headed to the heart of Jump City.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cinderblock twisted a sign and rammed it into a bank near the vault. Money flew out but he walked away, as if money was not what he was looking for. Robin swerved in on his R-cycle as Cyborg followed behind with Beast Boy in his T-Car. Starfire and Raven landed beside Robin from the sky. Robin removed his helmet and stared straight at Cinderblock. Cinderblock turned around and faced the Titans.
“Your little treasure hunt is over Cinderblock!” Robin yelled. “Titans GO!”
The Titans charged at Cinderblock as he grabbed part of the concrete and ripped it off the ground. Cyborg shot an ion cannon at Cinderblock but as he did that, the concrete was heading right to Cyborg. Raven quickly went in front of Cyborg and blocked it with a force field.
“Thanks Rae.” Cyborg said.
“You owe me one.” Raven shot back and flew back towards Cinderblock while smacking him with that bent up sign. Beast Boy turned into a hawk and as he flew up into the air, he changed into a whale and landed right on top of Cinderblock. Beast Boy smiled but then was thrown off by Cinderblock. Beast Boy hit the ground upside down and transformed back into his regular form.
“Dudes, did that happen before?” He asked rubbing his head.
“YES!” The Titans yelled at him. He turned into a rhino just s Cyborg jumped on Cinderblock and punched him. Starfire flew up behind Cinderblock and shot an eyeblast down his back. It made indentions in his back as he turned around. Cinderblock grabbed Cyborg and threw him on one of the nearby cars. Fortunately, Cyborg only got a scratch. He then smacked Starfire away but she quickly rebounded and grabbed Robin’s hands. She lifted him up from the ground and flew behind Cinderblock once again. Robin took out his freeze bombs and hit it right into the indention of Cinderblock’s back. The freezing quickly spread throughout Cinderblock and was frozen in a matter of seconds.
“Nice job Rob!” Cyborg shouted to Robin while giving him a high five.
“Nice job to all of us. But I think we need to get back to the Tower before we celebrate… something still isn’t right.” Robin stated as he looked at all of his team. The special police came and took Cinderblock away as the Titans started back to the Tower thoughtful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Okay, what’s the big deal with Cinderblock, Robin?” Cyborg asked.
“Yes, we would like to know what is wrong Robin.” Starfire told him, her hand slipping into his as the Titans sat on the couch.
Robin sighed and looked… nervous.
“Well,” Robin began, “You know, Cinderblock wasn’t seen anytime after he was with…” He couldn’t say that name. “With... you know… and so the Brotherhood of Evil recruited him. He has no mental capacity since he does not have a brain so someone has to be his leader. The Brotherhood of Evil are now still frozen but in a top secret prison facility, even I have no idea where they are. Since he is rock, he could’ve easily become unfrozen by the time authorities got there just like the H.I.V.E. 5 somehow did.”
“What are you saying Robin?” Starfire asked.
“What I am saying is this. Someone has to be Cinderblock’s leader. Someone had to recruit him. The Brotherhood of Evil didn’t do it. The H.I.V.E. 5 and Red X didn’t do it because they would be there along fighting with Cinderblock. So, the question is, who is Cinderblock working for?”
“Do you think he could be back?” Raven wondered out loud.
“I did attack a robot that looked exactly like him…” Beast Boy stated. Robin leaped up.
“No! He can’t be back! He has to be gone… he can’t come back again, It’s impossible!” Robin screeched.
“Robin…” Starfire said with a calm voice, her face full of concern. She dragged him back onto the couch and looked him straight in the eyes. “Robin, even if he is back… we have defeated him before. Good always conquers evil, no matter what. That’s what I learned from you.”

“But Star, he keeps coming back, do you consider that as victory?” Robin questioned her.
“Yes I do Robin. Red X keeps coming the back, Cinderblock keeps coming the back but we defeat them, it is none of the difference with him. We may never defeat him once and for all but when we defeat him, we save Jump City and the Earth from any other evil deeds he was planning. Isn’t that our job?” Starfire told him.
Robin looked down, breaking their gaze.
“Star is right Rob, you should listen to her.” Cyborg commented.
Robin sighed and looked up back Starfire.
“Star, it is different now. If he knows what we are now… he will target you. I cared for you before but he didn’t know that. He will now.”
Starfire smiled gently. “Robin, we can’t let fear control our lives. If we did, we wouldn’t be heroes. Don’t let fear control you Robin.”
Robin looked back up at her and nodded.
“Even if he is or isn’t back, we still need to keep our guard up. We can’t ever get comfortable or else we are practically easy prey to our enemies.” Raven said.
“Raven’s right.” Beast Boy added while looking over at her. She quickly looked down.
“Don’t look at him…”
The other Titans nodded in agreement.
The alarm went off yet again and the Titans ran over to the monitor.
“It’s… Plasmus?” Robin said surprised.
“Isn’t he in the same boat with Cinderblock… well… sorta?” Cyborg asked. The other Titans nodded.
“This is a situation of what you call weird.” Starfire commented.
“Where is he?” Raven questioned. Robin studied the monitor and pressed a couple of buttons.
“The docks.” He told her and she nodded. Robin shut off the monitor and turned to face the Titans and uttered his normal phrase. “Titans GO!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What is going on? Can he really be back?” Robin thought as he got out of the T-Car and stepped foot on the newly refinished wood. Anxiety consumed him, he was just so… scared. And that was a feeling that he had only felt once before in his life. He was scared for the city, himself, his team, Starfire… If he was back, his life would never be the same. Robin looked around, he could only hear his breathing.
“Show yourself Plasmus!” He yelled into the silence.
“You sure it wasn’t a false alarm?” Raven asked.
“It said he would be here!” Robin countered with frustration in his voice. Beast Boy turned into a bloodhound and sniffed around, looking for any scent of Plasmus. He suddenly stopped sniffing and quickly changed back into his normal form.
“Uh… guys?” Beast boy nervously said.
“What BB?” Cyborg asked.
“I know where Plasmus is.”
“Where is he?” Robin quickly asked.
Beast Boy looked down “He’s-”. In that split second, Plasmus broke through the wood and appeared right in front of the Titans scattered across the ground.
“-under us.” Beast Boy finished. Plasmus roared at the Titans and the Titans braced themselves for an attack but Plasmus just walked away.
“He is not… attacking us?” Starfire wondered out loud.
“He must be looking for something like Cinderblock was!” Cyborg said. The Titans charged after Plasmus. Robin threw his bomb at the back of Plasmus it soaked into his mud skin and it exploded inside of him. Plasmus moaned and he turned around to face the Titans.
Beast Boy changed into a T-Rex and roared at Plasmus as Cyborg shot his ion cannon right through Plasmus, but it closed up, its muck regenerating. Plasmus shot his muck at Cyborg and Robin, rendering them immobile. Starfire and Raven quickly flew up and did the move that defeated some of the Brotherhood of Evil. The spun and their powers combining into a flurry of dark black and green. It exploded on Plasmus but he just regenerated himself again. Seeing as none of their tactics were working, Beast Boy jumped off the docks into the water.
He quickly turned into an elephant and swam back up. He shot water at Plasmus and Plasmus roared as he slowly melted and returned to his human state. Starfire and Raven helped Cyborg and Robin out of the muck as Beast Boy turned into his normal form and jumped out of the water. He turned into a dog and shook off. Returning once more into his normal form he walked over to the rest of the Titans.
“Dudes, wasn’t he a little too easy? It takes us longer than that to beat him.” He told them.
“Yeah, it almost was as if, he didn’t want to fight. ” Cyborg responded as he wiped off a little more of Plasmus’ muck. Robin shook his head.
“This is all just too weird.” He said.
“It might be good to talk about this back at the Tower. We don’t know what is going on… or who might be watching.” Raven mentioned and the Titans walked away with Robin cautiously looking behind him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silence filled Titans Tower, they were all sitting in the common room in total silence. No one could explain these strange occurrences, they were all nervous and contemplating solutions, all in vain. All of them were on the verge of collapsing from exhaustion. Raven closed her eyes and rubbed her hair. Starfire had bags forming under her eyes as did Beast Boy. Exhaustion was their enemy right now, along with mystery. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion, time was warped, nothing seemed correct. Robin was taking deep, slow breaths, he didn’t want to sleep but he desperately needed it. Cyborg was constantly checking his power source, 15 %, 10%, 9%, the battery ticked like a time bomb ready to explode.
“This… doesn’t make logical sense.” Robin said, breaking the silence. Everyone looked up at him, in shock of that the silence was broken.
“Maybe…” Everyone turned to face Starfire. “Maybe, there is a new villain, someone who we do not know about, who we cannot see, on the rise.”
Silence once again filled the room and Robin felt that feeling that he hated once more… fear.
