Tina is dead on the shower room floor, there is a terrible mess everywhere. Blood and guts

Pixie drops the knife and stands looking horrified

Pixie - Oh my, what have I done?

Pixie stares at the body with a look of horror on her face

Then snaps out of it and panics

She bends over and uses her hanky to pick the knife up, she uses her sleeve to rub her fingerprints off the knife. She then drops it again and stands up

Pixie - Naughty!...someone did something naughty didn't they!

Pixie tuts and shakes her head

Meg is watching tv as Greg arrives home with his hands behind his back

Meg - Where have you been?

Greg - Just visiting Jim and Kath love

Meg - Your dinner is in the oven, it's probably ruined by now

Greg - I bought you a surprise love, call it a peace offering

Greg brings his hands out from behind his back to reveal a large bouquet of flowers

Meg (unenthusiastic) - Thank you, they are lovely

Greg - I hate it when we argue Meg

Meg - Yes, I hate it too. I'm sorry I was so harsh on you

Greg - It's ok, I know you have stuff on your mind. I just wish you could forget about Ferguson for a while and concentrate on our wedding

Meg - I hate Ferguson!

Greg - I know, but that shouldn't prevent us from getting married should it?

Meg - Colleen, and Geoff came to tell me that they are leaving, letting me down when I was counting on their help. I don't suppose you care about that

Pixie is still stood staring into space

Bernice - What have you done?

Bernice - You must be insane, I heard you arrived from the asylum so that explains it. Clearly, they should have kept you there

Pixie shakes her head with distress

Pixie - Oh but it wasn't me...it can't have been me!

Bernice - Well I don't see anyone else here do you?

Pixie is crying

Vera arrives in the doorway

Vera - What are you two doing...

Vera stops dead in her tracks as she spots the body

Bernice is still kneeling over Tina holding the knife

Vera looks at Bernice

Vera - What the hell have you done Daniels?

Kath is watching tv as Jim brings her a mug of coffee

Jim - I really didn't expect Greg and you to take that double wedding idea seriously love

Kath -But why not? I think its quite a nice idea

Jim - Do you think Meg will go for it knowing how she feels about you?

Kath shrugs

Kath - Who knows, maybe. But I would like it if we could bury the hatchet now, let bygones be bygones

Jim - It's not like Meg to hold onto grudges

Kath - I think where Marty is concerned she finds it hard to forgive and as a mother myself I can understand that

Jim - But what happened to Marty wasn't your fault

Kath - Maybe not, but in Meg's mind I played a part in it. Scott and Charlotte could be her grandchildren but she refuses to see them because they could be Rodney's or Marty's. The sad fact is I don't know which one was the father

Bernice stands up with a desperate look on her face

Bernice - Me? You think I did this?

Vera - Well didn't you? You're the one standing over the body with a knife.....and we all know that she was after you don't we. Seems you decided to remove her before she could do any harm to you

Bernice - No, I just found her I swear, Mason was the one who did it

Vera looks at Pixie

Pixie shakes her head tearfully

Pixie - I never did it Miss Bennett, I swear...Bernice did it, I saw her with my own two eyes. She threatened to kill me too!

Bernice - That's a damn lie! You should do the decent thing and own up Mason!

Vera - Come with me the pair of you

Bernice - Where to?

Vera - Solitary until the police get a chance to interview you both....leave the knife here

Bernice puts the knife down and they leave with Vera

Bernice - Mason killed her I swear to god

Vera - That will be up to the police to determine, all I can do is tell them what I saw which was you kneeling beside her with a knife

Pixie - Do I have to go to solitary Miss Bennett? I will be awfully frightened there

Vera - Yes I'm afraid you do for now. A murder has been committed and you two were both found with the body. The police will interview you both and until they do you must both be kept locked up securely

The rec room

Bea is playing cards with Judy

Judy looks around the room

Judy - A bit quiet tonight isn't it?

Bea - Is it? I can't say I noticed particularly

Judy - No sign of Sonia, Bernice, or Pixie

Bea - Yeah now you come to mention it I haven't seen any of them for a while

Judy - Oh god I hope Pix isn't in any trouble, I already caught that bitch Simpson giving her a hard time. Maybe I should go and look for her

Kath and Jim are watching tv as the phone rings

The whispering voice starts

Jim is furious

The person laughs

The line goes dead

Jim hangs up

Jim - That son of a bitch!

Vera - Ok ladies, time for lock-up

Judy - Hey what is this? It's half an hour early

Vera - There has been a serious incident

Bea - What sort of incident?

Vera - You'll find out in good time, the police will want to interview you all

The women nod along and call out in agreement

Vera - A prisoner has been murdered if you must know

Judy looks worried

Vera - Why do you think it's Mason, Bryant?

Judy is tearful

Spider looks horrified

Spider- Tina's been murdered?

They all begin to leave

Grace is with Vera in the staff room

Grace - I'll start with you Miss Bennett since you are my witness. I thought it would be more comfortable here rather than the interview room

Vera - Thank you, Inspector

Grace - Can you explain to me what you saw?

Vera - Yes well Tate was dead on the floor, there was blood and guts everywhere

Vera shakes her head and sips her coffee

Vera - It was a terrible sight. In all my years in the job, I don't think I have ever seen a sight as awful as that

Grace - Yes I can imagine....carry on

Vera - Well Mason was standing staring into space. She looked lost, scared.....I dunno, like she wasn't even there

Grace - As she has just witnessed a traumatic event?

Vera - Yes, yes I'd say so. She did look traumatized

Grace - And Daniels? She was there too?

Vera - Yes she was

Grace - And what was she doing?

Vera - She was bending over the body holding a knife...when I arrived she acted like a rabbit caught in the headlights

Grace -So you would say Daniels was the one who committed this murder?

Vera - Oh yes, without a doubt. She looked as guilty as hell to me. Mason is too ineffectual to have done it, away with the fairies

Bea pours herself a coffee

Bea - How would I know? I wouldn't put it past her. It certainly wouldn't have been Mason though. She's harmless

Vera - This may not be cause for concern yet but I thought you should know anyway...Stevens is missing

Grace - Not especially, she couldn't tell me much I don't already know, but it was still useful to hear what she had to say, confirming my own thoughts even more. I think I will see Simpson now

Bernice calls through the wall of her solitary cell
