Judy can barely contain her contempt

Janice is furious

Janice - Damn that Winter bitch, she causes nothing but damage. Tone was a damn fine officer

Bob -I agree, but if she wants to leave then there isn't much I can do to get her to stay

Janice - It's such a damn shame. I hope they recapture Winter soon, she doesn't deserve to be free after all the damage she causes

Bob - There is no sign of her yet, wherever she is she is hiding well

Janice - Tone didn't deserve what she did to her and its disgusting that Tone is now leaving for good thanks to her

Bob - But what's to say that even if Winter hadn't beat her up it wouldn't have been something else that scared Tone away eventually? She almost left when Smith was giving her a hard time too. I think if it hadn't been this it would have been something else that drove her away eventually

Janice shrugs

Janice - Well you may have a point there, but I still hate what Winter did to her. Winter is such a savage bitch of a woman

Martha looks sheepish

Martha - What will you do now? Will you tell the others?

Judy - That's really down to Jess and what she wants to do

Martha and Judy both look at Jess

Jess - I don't want to tell anyone, I want to try and put it all in the past, it makes me sick. I'd rather no one else .knew. I was doing well at moving on until I arrived here and saw her again, then it reopened all the scars again. Telling anyone else would prolong the pain for me and I am not interested in revenge

Jess looks angrily at Martha

Jess - Even though she deserves it, I would rather try and get on with my life rather than seek out revenge

Martha breathes a sigh of relief

Martha whispers under her breath

Jess - But I want her away from me, I can't stand to be around her. Every time i see her I get a knot in my stomach and I get flashbacks to the things she did to me

Judy - I think I may have the solution to this problem

Judy - Martha is just the sort they willingly give transfers to Barnhurst to, she fits the profile. I reckon Martha should put in for a transfer

Martha looks upset

Judy looks at her coldly

Martha - You can't seriously mean it when you say we're over

Martha - Yes I will put in for that transfer, it's the best solution all around. I can see that

Cassie and Aaron are in the reception with Janice

Aaron - So at least it seems we will stay in the same prison babe!

Cassie smiles distantly

Cassie - Yeah...

Janice - Be quiet, please!

Janice looks at Cassie

Martha - To tell you the truth that's just an act, I am scared silly here, these women are too tough for me. Please may I go to Barnhurst? I am a well-behaved, polite, respectful prisoner. I cannot see a reason why I can't go there

Bib - If it's what you really want then I will get in touch with Barnhurst right away. To tell you the truth, you going there will probably help a lot with the overcrowding we are currently experiencing here anyway

Martha looks a mixture of relieved and regretful

Janice shows Aaron into a Recroom full of men

Janice - This is the current Men's block, its a bit overcrowded right now but we are hoping to fix that once the extensions are completed and the super-prison opens

Aaron looks disappointed

Aaron - Men only here? I was hoping we could mix with the women and I could have my girl Cass with me

Janice - That would be out of the question. Letting the men and women mix is totally implausible and would never happen. This pack of murderers, but perhaps even more so the rapists, would be far too dangerous and too much of a risk to allow to mix among the women!

Cassie is in the H Block Recroom with the women

Martha rushes across the grass to talk to Judy

Abigail is sitting in her solitary cell as Bob enters the cell alone

Bob - You are a murderer now, you will be one of the lifers officially once sentenced. I have to pay special attention to my lifers, they are the ones who are here for a long time after all. Short-termers require less attention and care, they are in and out, and as long as they keep their heads down they get out when they are supposed to. They know they aren't here long, so they have an incentive to behave. Long termers, and especially lifers, have a much more ''nothing to lose'' and careless type of attitude

Abigail - I can cope if that's what you're worried about

Bob - I want to know if you plan to be disruptive here in the years ahead?

Abigail shrugs

Abigail - I dunno, I never think about the future too much. It all seems so bleak so I try and block it out as much as I can. I hate life and I hate people, I hate everything, and it's all so pointless anyway

Bob - What made you so angry, negative and hateful Abigail. I want to know, I want to understand

Abigail gives a bitter chuckle

Abigail - Like you really care!

Bob - But I do, I really do. I want to know more about why you're like this, it has to be for a reason. People don't become like this for no reason

Vera tries to blank Cassie, so she runs into the corridor
