Dev went to a grocery shop and got sugar and a dairy milk for himself. As he entered the House, he was reminded of the moments he and Sonakshi spent there a few months ago.

Dev entered the House while eating a bar of chocolate and Sonakshi followed him by looping her arm around his.
"Well, I thought that this is the best time for us to... you know."
He purposely trailed off in the end and Sonakshi smirked slightly. She took the chocolate from his hand and took a bite.
"It's okay. Are you sure that AD and ID aren't going to be back before tomorrow evening?"
"Ofcourse. When they visit Maharashtra, they aren't back before a week. They will go to every temple."
"Hmm. Sounds interesting. But why did you tell me this when they are going to return tomorrow? You could have asked me earlier too."
Dev's ears went red as she asked him this. How was he going to tell her that he was too shy to tell her that he wanted to spend a night with her. He knew that Sonakshi was open minded and didn't mind that. But it was his first time and he was nervous.
"Oh! Do I see something pink on your cheeks?"
Saying this, Sonakshi pulled his cheeks and he winced in pain.
"Arre, don't do that. I love my cheeks."
Saying so, he rubbed his cheeks when Sonakshi moved her away.
"Even I love your cheeks."
She placed a kiss on his cheeks and he smiled. He wrapped his arm around her waist when she was about to move away.
"Are you sure that you want to take this ahead?"
"Yes Dev. I know you are asking me this to mask your nervousness. I am pretty confident about it."
Dev chuckled nervously when she caught him. She was indeed right!
"Okay. I surrender."
Sonakshi smiled and they both walked to his room. Dev opened the door of the room and entered while Sonakshi followed him.
"Hmm. It's interesting that our first time would be in your room."
"Well, it's my first time. Forgive me if I make any mistake."
Sonakshi smiled and gently placed her lips on his.

Dev came out of his thoughts when he heard Ishwari's voice.
"Where are you lost? I have been calling you since long."
"Sorry Maa. I was just thinking about something."
Ishwari smiled discretely, very well knowing that he was thinking about Sonakshi.
"Anyways, go and take a shower."
"I am not in the mood."
"This isn't an option, my child. We have to go somewhere and you are supposed to come with us."
"I don't want to go anywhere. You and Papa can go if you want to."
Saying this, Dev simply left from there while Ishwari sighed at him. She was his Mother! She wasn't going to leave him so soon.

Dev was laying down on the bed in his room. He was having chips and watching a movie. But his mind was wandering somewhere else. Ashok came in the room and sat on the bed beside him. Dev looked at him and got up.
"Why aren't you ready yet? Didn't your Maa tell you that we are going somewhere?"
"I don't want to come."
"But..."
Before Ashok could say something, Ishwari entered the room.
"If he doesn't want to come then don't force him. Dev, just tell us the route to the new restaurant that you visited recently. We are thinking to go there."
"Okay. Take a right from the temple and then..."
"Arre, I don't understand your description. Draw a map and give it to me."
"Fine! I am coming with you."
Ishwari and Ashok discretely smiled at each other and winked. They all went in their garage and Ishwari took the driving seat. She saw that Dev was still in his track pants and T-shirt.
"Dev, will you come with us in these clothes? Atleast wear a shirt and jeans."
"I am not coming."
Seeing him irritated, they immediately stopped him.
"Dev, don't mind your Mother. Come and sit."
Dev took the back seat while Ashok sat on the passenger's seat. Dev was giving Ishwari the directions and she kept driving listening to him. At one point, Dev told her to take a right turn but she took a left turn. He now very well knew what was cooking in his Parents' mind.
"Maa, I told you to take a right."
"Dev, when we have come here then let's take Sonakshi with us."
"But you didn't tell me anything like that."
"I don't think I need to tell you everything that is going on in my mind."
Ishwari answered him back curtly to which he simply scoffed. Ishwari stopped the car below a building and got out. She saw a few kids playing there and called them. They came to her and gave them chocolates. The kids grinned happily and ran away after taking chocolates. Dev furrowed his eyes in confusion as he saw this but then realised what the day was! He mentally facepalmed himself and heard Ashok chuckling at him.
"I knew that you would forget that it's our anniversary today. Sonakshi was the one who used to keep reminding you of the important days and events of her as well as YOUR life."
"She could have atleast messaged me once. How can she forget it?"
Ashok was quite amused by this.
"It's obvious that she won't remind you of anything from now onwards. You both are not together and it is obvious that even she won't continue performing her duties if you aren't ready to take any responsibility."

Dev sighed and looked out of the window of the car. He saw that Sonakshi came to the balcony of her House when Ishwari called out her name. Sonakshi smiled at her and gestured that she is coming to meet her.
After a few minutes, Sonakshi came together the parking lot and greeted Ishwari.
"Happy Anniversary."
"Thank you, beta. We have come here to take you with us."
Sonakshi got confused at this statement of hers.
"I didn't get you."
Ishwari lightly chuckled on seeing her face filled with confusion.
"I meant that we three are going to a restaurant. We want you to accompany us."
"Maa, I can't."
"Sonakshi, please don't deny. I am asking something from you for the first time. Please allow me to take my daughter with me."
Someone has said it right that Mothers are good at emotional blackmailing. Ishwari was no different. Sonakshi felt bad when she saw Ishwari's face. She wasn't at fault. She can't punish him for whatever her stupid son did.
"Okay. I'll change and come."
Ishwari nodded and patted Sonakshi's cheeks with a smile. Sonakshi went from there and Ishwari went to Dev and Ashok.
"Dev, go and meet your in-laws."
"I am not going anywhere."
"I am not asking you. You are going to meet Sonakshi's Parents and it's an order."
Dev grunted in irritation and stepped out of the car. He entered the building and saw Sonakhi waiting for the lift. She glared at him as he walked to her.
"Why did you got ID and AD here?"
"I haven't brought them here. In fact, they have got me here."
Sonakshi glared at him as he replied. Why was he so impossible?
"Idiot!"
Dev heard her mutter under her breath but didn't reply. It was better to stay quiet rather than having an argument with her again.
As the lift stopped, they both got out of the lift and walked towards Bose House. They both entered the House and Asha and Bijoy's eyes gleamed with happiness and excitement when they saw him.
"Dev Babu! How are you? Please come in."
Dev gave a formal smile to Bijoy and entered the House while Sonakshi rolled her eyes. She walked to her room before her Parents could ask her to serve snacks to Dev.
"Please take a seat."
Dev nodded and sat on the couch of the living room. Bijoy and Asha sat on his either sides and smiled at him. Though he felt intimidated, he smiled at them.
"Bijoy, why don't you show him the ideas of his and Shona's wedding? We have planned a few themes for the wedding, right?"
Bijoy immediately nodded in a yes and got his laptop. He logged into his laptop and opened the presentation that he had made.
"See, this is an avenger based theme wedding. You will dress as iron man and Shona will be the wonder woman. How's it?"
Dev opened his eyes wide in shock when he heard this. Seriously? Avenger based theme wedding?
"If you don't like it then we have another theme as well. We will dress you both up as birds. Our Shona will be a peacock. You can dress up as your favourite bird."
Dev rubbed his palms on his face and sighed. Sonakshi came out of her room wearing a pink coloured kurti. She bit her lower lip to control the erupting laughter when she saw Dev trapped between her Parents.
'Let him be! Atleast he will get punished for troubling me.'
Her inner voice immediately nodded in a a no, making her mind roll its eyes. Deciding to listen to her heart, she called out Dev's name. Dev mentally thanked her and immediately got up.
"Maa, Baba, we are going with Maa and Papa. I'll be back in sometime."
They both nodded and Dev walked to her.
"Dev Babu, don't forget to tell me about the wedding theme. I'll wait for your answer."
Dev nodded with a fake smile. This time, Sonakshi wasn't able to control her laughter. She chuckled and Dev glared at her. She shrugged her shoulders while he scoffed. They both went to the parking lot and saw Ishwari and Ashok sitting in the car. Sonakshi wished Ashok and he blessed her. Sonakshi and Dev settled in the backseat while Ashok took the passenger seat. Ishwari started driving the car and saw through the rear view mirror that Dev and Sonakshi were sitting in two extreme corners. She sighed and signalled her husband. He too saw it and assured her through his eyes that everything will be fine.
She stopped the car at a restaurant and they all got out. Ishwari and Ashok walked in with Sonakshi while Dev narrowed his eyes at his Parents. Are they really his Parents? They loved Sonakshi more than they loved him. He should opt for a DNA test soon.
"This seems a nice restaurant!"
Ishwari exclaimed as they all sat at a table for four. Sonakshi smiled at her while Dev buried his eyes in the menu card. He licked his lips on seeing the names of the dishes. He was very hungry. His Maa kept telling him that she will make dosa for breakfast but he had to settle for tea as they got busy in talking about Sonakshi.
Ishwari saw that many people at the tables were playing games like Zenga and a few board games.
"Hey! Why don't we try to play these games?"
"Can we just order food first? I am very hungry."
Ishwari narrowed her eyes at her son while he seemed unaffected. They all ordered food for themselves and then Ashok and Ishwari got busy in talking to Sonakshi.
It was necessary to know her side of story as well. They can't come to a decision without knowing her story.

First time writing any sort of story. Everything is still a work in progress. As I improve on my writing I will go back and edit parts. Early chapters are subject to change as I grow my ability. I am going to try my best to write this world and improve as I go. My goal is to make my dream come to life through the medium of text. This is why I wanted to post it here. Feel free to comment, and bring constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy! More info (Spoiler warning): only read if you are picky, read a lot, and want to waste no time with a story you may not want read. This book is a litrpg. This means it contains stat tables, and other game elements. (Which you may gloss over if you would like) It is written in a fantasy world, in the style of a progression fantasy. The main character grows in power as the story plays out. My characters are written to my best ability, but you may find them immature. The MC has to adjust to fighting, and killing which he struggles with for a while. His partner is a magical salamander who is a friend and mentor. The world building, monsters, and descriptions are also low tier. (I am working hard to change that!) If you are okay reading something by someone who is just getting started then welcome! I am doing my best, and incrementally improving as I go.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
