"Hey! There are many people playing games here. Even I want to play it."
Sonakshi and Ashok looked at Ishwari on listening to her wish while Dev managed to look at in between his food. He was very hungry and wasn't going to look or listen to anyone while he was eating his favourite cheese sandwich.
"Why don't we try playing Zenga?"
Sonakshi suggested and Ishwari immediately nodded in a yes.
"Why are you nodding without even knowing how to play it?"
"So what? Our Sonakshi will teach us how to play, right Sonakshi?"
Sonakshi nodded at Ishwari and Ashok and they smiled at her. Dev rolled his eyes at all of them and gulped down his coke.
Sonakshi asked a waiter to give them the game and after a while, the game was on their table.
"Each of us will try to pull a block, making sure that any other block doesn't fall. If the blocks fall, the person will have to do the punishment that is written on the blocks."
Ashok and Ishwari listened to her with full attention and nodded their heads when she finished explaining them. Even Dev seemed a bit interested in the game. What if he had problems with Sonakshi? He would enjoy the game with his Parents.
Sonakshi started the game and pulled a block. She was trying to do it carefully but ended up making all the blocks collapse. She facepalmed herself with a silly smile and read the punishment out loud that was written on the block.
"Say one good thing about the person sitting at your right..."
She trailed off in the end when she realised that it was Dev who was sitting at her right. She looked at him who looked equally awkward. Heck? Where did she trap herself? She bit her lower lip and sighed.
"The good thing about Dev is that he has always supported me. Whenever I felt low about myself, he was the one who instilled confidence in me. I'll be forever grateful to him for always supporting me."
Dev was slightly taken aback by this. He didn't know that she credits him this much for rising in her career. Ashok and Ishwari smiled at this.
"Dev's turn."
Dev nodded at Ishwari and removed a block. The tower fell and everyone chuckled. Dev read the punishment written on the block and was about to keep it back. But Ashok caught this action of his and held his hand, nodding in a no and indicating him to not to cheat. Dev furrowed his eyebrows and Ashok took the block from his hands and read the punishment, aloud.
"Say the best quality of the person sitting on your left."
He and Ishwari looked at Dev and Sonakshi. Sonakshi had thought that the awkwardness will be gone with her turn but this turned out to be more awkward.

"Sonakshi is a very beautiful person, inside and outside. She cares for everyone, even if it is a stranger. She doesn't hurt anyone. Even I was surprised but she doesn't even hurt someone unknowingly. She agreed to get engaged to me, even though she knew that I was unemployed. She stood by me and never left me alone."
'Then why did you leave me alone, Dev?'
Sonakshi thought and tried to control her tears by taking a sip of her juice.
The words that flowed from Dev's mouth were right from his heart. It wasn't like he had planned to say this, but when he was asked to say this, he couldn't control himself from saying this.
This made one thing clear to Ashok and Ishwari. The two still held immense respect for each other.
"Now it's my turn."
Dev and Sonakshi gained their senses back when they heard Ashok. They nodded their heads and Ashok pulled out a block. The tower fell and he sighed. He read the punishment written on it.
"Gift something to the person sitting opposite to you."
He looked at Sonakshi who was sittin opposite to him.
"Oh wow! Am I getting a gift?"
Ishwari and Ashok smiled when they saw her. Ashok took out a box from the bag that he had hid under the table.
"Papa, I was just joking."
"Sonakshi, we were already planning to give you this, for the success of your stand-up show. We are very proud of you."
Sonakshi smiled at them emotionally and opened the box, only to find a beautiful watch in it.
"It's so beautiful!"
They both smiled when they heard her. They were glad that she liked it.
"We have also planned a success party for you. We will invite everyone to the party, including your friends. I want everyone to know that how good Sonakshi is at everything."
Sonakshi smiled at Ishwari when she heard her.
"We will also keep drinks in the party."
Dev's head snapped towards Ashok when he spoke this.
'No! Please Papa don't say anything ahead. Please.'
Sonakshi's eyes narrowed in confusion when she heard him.
"I didn't get you Papa."
"Sonakshi, Dev told us that how you drink occasionally. We are completely okay with it. We really don't mind it."
Sonakshi's head snapped at Dev. She wasn't expecting this from him. Was he so blinded by his hate towards her that he told his Parents that she drinks? She was now definitely done for him, for good! She grabbed her purse and stood up.
She started walking out of the restaurant when she heard Dev's voice. He was following her but she didn't stop. He managed to stop her by holding her arm and turned her around. She jerked his hand away from hers and glared at him.

"Listen to me."
"I don't think that you owe me any explanation. We are no one to each other and I don't expect any justification from you."
"Sonakshi, please give me a chance to speak."
"Seriously Dev? Seriously? Do you hate me so much that you belittled me infront of your Parents? For God's sake Dev, one cannot stoop so low."
She blasted at him and he tried to calm her down.
"I swear that it wasn't intentional. It just slipped of my mouth."
"Oh! Then you must have said many things by mistake, that when I met you I wasn't a virgin. I had many boyfriends before you."
Dev lost his cool when she said this. Did she think so low of him?
"Enough Sonakshi. I haven't said anything like that."
"I don't even care if you do so. This is your bloody life and I don't give a damn."
Saying this, she was about to go but then she suddenly stopped, turning around. She took out the engagement ring from her finger and threw it at him which hit his chest.
"Thank you for all the hurt Mr. Devrath Dixit."
She walked away from him and it was then Dev noticed that everyone in the restaurant was looking at him. Ashok and Ishwari came to him. Before they could say anything, he walked out of the restaurant.
Ashok and Ishwari looked at each other and sighed. They weren't expecting things to go worse that it already was. They exited the restaurant and saw that Dev was already sitting in the backseat of the car. Ishwari took the driving seat and Ashok sat on the seat beside her.

Sonakshi and Dev were laying on the bed in his room. She rested her head on his chest while he was caressing her hair.
"Dev, I forgot to tell you that I'll soon shift to Mumbai."
Dev smiled and looked at her.
"I know. I am very happy for you."
Sonakshi smiled and lightly pressed her lips to his chest.
"Listen, why don't you try some other job?"
"Sonakshi, I am happy with this job. I enjoy this a lot."
Sonakshi sighed when she heard him.
"Dev, listen to me."
Dev stopped his blabbering and looked at her.
"I read your mails and I got to know that you have resigned. I know that you want to follow your passion but you have to get financially stable as well."
Dev slowly took his arms away from and got up from the bed.
"It's quite late. Let me drop you."
"Dev, please don't run away again..."
Before she could complete, Dev turned around and shouted at her.
"Why did you check my mails? You like spying on me, don't you?"
Sonakshi flinched at his tone and got scared. Her eyes were filled with tears. He had never talked to her like this ever.
"No... No... I was just..."
"Enough! Not a word! Just get up!"
Sonakshi bit her lower lip to control her cries. She wiped her tears with the back of her hands and got up.
x-x-x
Tears were flowing down Sonakshi's cheeks while she was riding her two wheeler. She won't be able to forget that how Dev was rude with her when he himself didn't get a job or got a chance to follow his passion. She reached Dev's House and stopped the vehicle. She entered the House with a handbag in her hand.
As soon as Ishwari saw her, she looked at her with guilt in her eyes. Sonakshi nodded in a no, indicating that she wasn't at fault. Ishwari gave her a small smile and walked towards her.
"Ma... Aunty, these are the jewellery that you gave me after our engagement."
Saying this, Sonakshi gave the handbag to Ishwari. Ishwari was shocked with this.
"Sonakshi, I gave you this because I consider you as my own daughter, not because you were engaged to Dev."
"Aunty, I cannot take this. These will forever keep me in the guilt that I hurt you and Uncle."
Ishwari caressed her hair and was in tears.
"Beta, please don't say like this. I still know that Dev might be at fault..."
Sonakshi nodded in a no and interrupted her.
"Aunty, one person can never be at fault for failure of a relationship. Please don't blame him. Somewhere, even I may be at fault and I know that. I am not ashamed of admitting this but I am not strong enough to work on this broken relationship. I am sorry."
Ishwari sniffled and nodded her head. Sonakshi took her blessings and Ishwari immediately took her in for a tight hug. Sonakshi hugged her back and closed her eyes, feeling the Motherly love.
'Maybe the last time.'
She thought and broke the hug.
"I'll leave, Aunty. I have a flight tonight."
"Tonight? Sonakshi, today is our wedding anniversary. Please stay for one day."
"I would have if it was possible. But I can't. I have to start everything from point zero in that vast city. I don't think I should delay it anymore."
Ishwari nodded in a yes and kissed her forehead. Sonakshi once again hugged her and left from there, giving a last longing look to Dev's room.

Dungeon's Path
The only places I have posted the story and allow it to exist are on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub, and my Patreon. So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything. Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story. Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon. The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday. Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.

Warden of Success - A LitRPG
In the future of Earth humans are no longer the dominant species. Monsters, vampires, elves and all manners of otherworldly threats now threaten the planet and its people. And for one such as Camille, there was nothing she could do. A failed martial artist, Camille swallowed her pride and dreams, all the while sinking into the world of video games. Until she died. Reawakening with newfound power in her very own bed, there's no doubting that she's an oddity. And as the only individual in the world with the body of a video game character, she's ecstatic. No longer will she just be content with playing games in her dark room, taking over fantasy worlds as a great heroine. Rather, she'll do something better. And that'll be to take over the real one instead. Whether it be mages, demons or other supernatural entities that stand in her way, it doesn't matter. Camille may be a level one at first, but dammit if she wasn't going to try to reach one hundred. This is not a crunchy LitRPG and gradually becomes more of a character driven story that just happens to have a main character with LitRPG abilities. There will be a variety of powers/abilities that are explored later in the setting involving magic systems and other technological advancements. The first 10 chapters were written with satirical undertones, but begin to develop more into its own entity after that.
