"Mommy? I thought this was a love story?" Cammie asks me. My seven year old daughter sits on my lap, curiosity in her brown eyes.
"No honey, that was the story of your sister," I explain. We're wrapped in a large blue comforter on the old recliner.
"Carry was my sister?"
"Yes, she was a lot like you."
"Did she go away with daddy?"
"No, she went away long before daddy did, that's how we had you." I tickle her as she giggles uncontrollably. "I think it's time for bed girly." I stand up and balance her on my hip.
"But I wanna know more," she complains.
"I'll tell you more stories tomorrow night, I can't tell them all in one night or we'll run out!" I take her upstairs and to her bedroom. "Besides, I'm sure North and Frost are tired."
I lay her down under the purple comforter and pull it up to Cammie's chin. She is already in her favorite purple pajamas. Her lamp with a purple shade over it sits on her white nightstand.
"It's their turn, then we'll take our turn saying goodnight." At the same time, we let our alters take over, I'm no longer in control of our body. I'm plunged into darkness, a small opening shows me what is going on through Frost's eyes. She tells her goodnight and kisses North's forehead. Then I'm in control again.
"Goodnight honey."
"Goodnight mommy," Cammie tells me. I kiss her on her forehead and head to the door.
"I love you, and I'll see you in the morning."
"I Love you too." I shut Cammie's lamp off and close her door behind me.
Today was hard, but I chose to tell Cammie the story on how her dad and my daughter disappeared forever.

My bed invites me, I'm used to sleeping without my husband, it has been seven years. I made sure not to try to find Barry when the opportunity arose, my daughter needs me and I know that now.
I climb in bed and fall asleep peacefully, I'll tell Cammie the rest tomorrow. I hope she understands why I did what I did. Maybe one day she'll even understand why she'll never see her dad again.

Hey everyone I hope you loved the story. This is the first story I've EVER finished so I'm quite happy, especially since I finished it on my birthday 😍 (07/07) guess who's fifteen now!
Anyways, I am making at least a second book which will be all about Snowbarry, up until they have a child, then if that story gets as much love as this one did, I'll make a third covering Caitlin's life without Barry and with Cammie.

This was my first significant fanfic (and fic in general). I wasn't happy with the writing as time went on, and took it down, but years later am still getting requests to put it back up so I guess some people liked it. Newly re-released as I finish some minor editing, there are about 100,000 words (~360 RRL pages) already written, so releases should be fast until I catch up with the backlog. That said, it may languish in hiatus at that point if the interest isn't high enough to merit continuing, so if you're the type to only read finished stories (or ones where the author promises to do so), I am very specifically not promising that. On the other hand, if enough people read, like, review, comment, rate, etc. then it will get added to my writing schedule. Generally, the character is based on a “how badass could someone who hasn't done ridiculously crazy shit be? Or, how does someone with the potential, in another setting, with a lot of luck, to be a badass act and develop as a modern, productive member of society? And then how would they deal with the Naruto-verse?” Please, please do not judge my writing by this. Unless you really like it, in which case fine, do, but recognize my other writing is likely better (unless it’s that one MTG/ASoIaF/SW fic I did over on SB as a speed-writing experiment, which is also pretty terrible).

Athshin, the Western Continent, is often called a dying land. it is a wasteland of rocks, dust, and ruins. It is in this land that five travelers, strangers to eachother and Athshin itself, find themselves lost and stripped of their belongings. Although they initially unite under the common goal of survival, they slowly find themselves uncovering a tangled web of zealotry and deception that could endanger the soul of the Western Continent. This is a high fantasy story set in a land inspired by the folklore and cultures of Central and South America. There will be four POV characters that will be switched between as needed.
