The next morning Barry woke up in Star Labs with a fresh mind. He had some clarity after his talk with Caitlin and knew exactly how to appeal to Cicada. He wanted to thank her for what she said and was hopping she came to Star Labs early like she usually does. He was pacing in Star Labs and then he heard some footsteps but knew it wasn't her. Instead entered a happy Cisco. "Hey dude" Cisco said

"Hey man, I think I know a way to get Cicada to take the cure." Barry said

"How?" Cisco said

"I need to appeal to him as a father, not as the Flash" Barry said

"But that means showing him who you really are and if it dosen't work then he knows how to come after each of us." Cisco says

"It's going to work because that's his one weakness" Barry said "It has to work"

"Hey guys" Caitlin said walking into the cortex with Dawn.

"Hey" Barry and Cisco said and Dawn gave her dad a hug.

"Should I be offended I didn't at least get a hello" Cisco said and Dawn giggled.

"Hi uncle Cisco" Dawn said

"Thank you" Cisco said and the alarms started going off.

"Cicada" Dawn said.

"Well he's never struck this early before we must have set him off" Caitlin said

"I got this" Barry said

"Barry" Caitlin said in a strict tone

"Cait, I need to do this alone" Barry said

"Did you hear a word of what I said yesterday?" Caitlin asked getting a bit angry.

"Every word but Cait to convince him I have to go alone, if all of us go and confront him then it won't work. I know you scared of losing me but I have to go" Barry said walking closer to her and then rester his hands on her forearms.

"Hurry you'll lose him" Caitlin said softly. Barry smiled at her and then his eyes sparkled with lightning, next thing she knew he was gone. The three of them huddled around the centre console when Iris, Joe, Sherlock and Nora walked in.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Joe asked

"Barry is going to try and convince Cicada to take the cure" Dawn said and the rest of the huddled around the computer to watch what Barry does. Cicada as just at a storage room picking up some tools he would need when Barry came. He has his mask off so all you could see was Orlin Dwyer.

"Hey Flash" Dwyer said turning around with his blade in hand.

"I just want to talk" Barry said

"There is no more talking" Dwyer said "Everytime one of you metas comes near the rest of us, good people get hurt. This is what you deserve, what all of you deserve"

"Does that include Grace?" Barry said and Dwyer looked at him confused. "Dr Ambres didn't tell you, Grace is a meta. When the satellite crashed she was hit with some strapnel that was infused with dark matter. It's the same reason she is in a coma. Now it's changing her into a meta."

"Your lying" Dwyer said

"That's the reason we had to find you, you might do something you can't come back from." Barry said and Dwyer got too angry and shoved Barry into a nearby wall. It looked like Dwyer was going to stab him but his dagger went into the wall behind Barry right next to his face. "I know how much you care about Grace, You're trying to make the world a better place for her but she didn't chose to be a meta. Just because she is meta does that mean she deserves to die?"

"No, I would never hurt her." Dwyer said

"Then you would let her grow up in a world of fear where people like her are being hunted down. The cure, can heal both you and Grace." Barry said and Dwyer pulls the blade out of the wall and steps backwards, away from Barry. In the cortex everyone is on edge to make this work.

"Come on Barry" Caitlin mutters to herself.

Barry steps off the wall and Dwyer asks "Why should I believe you?"

"I'm a father too." Barry says before taking off his mask. "My daughters I love them more than I eve though possible. I would do anything to make the world a better place for them. I know that you would too. So do it, take the cure."

Everyone in he cortex looks relived and then a flash of yellow lightning comes through the cortex. Cicada is next to Barry and everyone stands up straighter looking at the man in front of them. All Caitlin cares is that Barry is all right and she smiles at him.

"We made an arrangement, we cure him and then Grace." Barry said

"Why are we here and not at a hospital?" Dwyer asks

"We have to be sure the cure is successful." Barry said

"We created the cure, so we will know if it works" Cisco said

"The cure will take 60 seconds to take effect, this is going to mean the wound in your chest will open. I'm going to need to suture it shut." Caitlin said and Barry felt uneasy at that.

"Why can't Dr Ambres do it?" Cicada asked

"She's being held for questioning" Joe said

"It's Ambres or we're done" Cicada said and looked at Barry.

"We'll get her" Barry said

"If this doesn't go down how you say it will, I will kill every last one of you" Dwyer said looking at his dagger glowing in his hand.

Caitlin was about to go join Dr Ambres in the Med bay who was doubling checking everything, when Barry pulled her back. "Hey, will you be ok?" He said

"I'll be fine especially since you're over here" Caitlin said and smiled before she went in.

As they were getting the equipment ready Dr Ambres asks "Is everything in this room sterilised?"

"Yes, of course, well except for that" Caitlin says looking ta the dagger.

"That is non-negotiable" Dwyer said. Outside Cecil, Joe, Iris and Barry we're all watching. All of the sudden Cecil feels this rage.

"Oh my god, the rage from him" Cecil said but couldn't finish. "Joe, I can't, Are you going to stay?" She said as tears fill her eyes.

"Just in case" Joe said

"Ok" Cecil said and kissed Joe. Then she walked away and Barry piped up.

"You should go with her" he said

"What? No! I'm not leaving." Iris said

"Iris if something goes sideways you can't get hurt" Barry said

"He's right baby doll" Joe said

"Ok, be careful both of you" Iris said and hugged both of them to go catch up with Cecil. Cisco then came in the room with a cure.

"One hot serving of the meta-human cure" Cisco said and passed it to Caitlin.

"How am I supposed to trust this works?" Dr Ambres asked "Has it even gone through human trials.

"It went through giant shark trials" Cisco said and laughed thinking about it while Dr Ambres just looked at Cisco confused. "It's a long story Cisco said.

"It's ok Doc" Dwyer said

"I wanted to tell you the truth about Grace. I didn't know how to tell you." Dr Ambres said

"I know you just wanted to keep her safe" Dwyer said "That's something I will always be thankful for"

Caitlin administered the anaesthesia and everyone watching stood up tall. "Here we go" Barry said. They injected the cure. Nothing happened for a few seconds until Dwyer started seeing.

"His vitals are going crazy, how do you know it's even working?" Dr Ambres said.

"Oh it's working" Cisco said looking at the dagger that was shaking as well. Dawn was on patrol around the city and Nora was in the lounge with Sherlock.

"Congratulations" Sherlock said handing her some coffee.

"Thank you" Nora said with a smile

"You as well, isn't this your 38th Cicada that you caught." Nora said

"Yeah, that's right" Sherlock said and sat on a couch that was opposite her. "Of course there is still some business here that remains unfinished" Sherlock continued "for instance how did you know that the burn marks were from a meta human in the photo before you saw it happen?"

"I just- I guess I had a feeling that something knew was coming." Nora said and Sherlock just looked ta her sipping her tea. He knew something was up, there was a feeling about her the she couldn't shake.

In the med lab they were in the middle of patching his wound when all the light went off. "What happened to the power?" Joe asked

"I have no idea" Barry said

"I should check the med lab" Nora said and put her cup down. She was about to leave when someone entered through the window. Cicada. This time Cicada had different powers and used their powers to push Nora against a pole. Sherlock was standing there and tried to punch Cicada when he failed miserably and ended up on the floor. When Cicada left the room Nora fell to the floor and connected Dawn. Sherlock sounded the alarm in the lounge and Barry was confused to where it was coming from. Joe went inside to use his phone so he could shine a light on the wound.

"We got a problem" Cisco said and entered the med bay. Cisco showed Barry the surveillance footage and Barry saw Cicada.

"How did that happen?" Joe asked

"I don't know but he's heading this way and coming fast" Cisco said

"We have to move" Barry said

"We have to keep patching him up" Ambres said

"Stand back" Caitlin said and her eyes turned a crystal blue. Ice came out of her hand and for now it was keeping the wound closed. Dawn then sped in and asks what was happing while Cisco was directing Ambres to take Dwyer out of there. Joe got his gun out, pointed at the hallway. Dawn next to him taking the same stance as her father, ready to fight. Frost getting ready, Cisco also getting ready to fight. Then Cicada came through the hall and stood there taking out two boomerangs. They all started shooting at Cicada except for Barry and Dawn who were trying to create enough energy to throw a lightning bolt. Cicada was dodging every shot they fired. Barry and Dawn threw their lightning bolt simultaneously. Using her boomerangs she stoped them and both of the looked startled.

"Impossible" Dawn whispered before Cicada used her powers to push the two speedsters against the walls. The rest of them kept shooting while Barry and Dawn were trying to get free. Cicada first hit Joe as something fell from the ceiling. They went for Cisco next and he went flying to the nearest computer console. Frost was the last one standing but she didn't stand for long. She dodged the first one that came her way but didn't see the ceiling vent that came for her head. Cicada then used her powers to make sure that everything in the room was damaged. As soon as she left the room Barry and Dawn fell from the walls to the floor with remnants of the roof landing onto of them. Ambres was at the lift waiting for it to open. As the doors finally slid open she headed heavy breathing and knew that Ciacda was behind her. She turned around and saw Cicada 2.0.

"Who are you" She asked but got no response "Please whoever you are, I only came her to make him human. I helped him!" Ambres begged holding his dagger as Cicada walked towards toward her. All of the sudden the dagger started glowing and Cicada used her peers to bring the dagger to her hands. Ambres cut her hands and gasped in pain. Cicada walked to wards the sacred doctor who is begging fro her life. Ambres was backed against the wall when Cicada stabs her. As her body falls to the floor Cicada takes Dwyer away.

Later when everyone was awake. Nora and Sherlock joined the team as they tried to get some of the computers back online. Caitlin then walks in and gives the sad news about Ambres. Barry then speeds in and said he couldn't find them anywhere. Cecil and Iris joined a few minuets ago when Joe called them.

"I don't understand, he's cured, who was that?" Dawn said

"Some one worse" Sherlock said
