I wake up by letting out a big gasp of air. I open my eyes seeing myself trapped inside a cocoon as I'm covered in green slime. I try to move around as it's tight and hot inside as I'm sweating to death. I stretch my body out and press hard against the walls of the cocoon trying to rip it open and I do. I pull the cocoon skin off me as I begin to stand up feeling energized but confused.
I look around my environment seeing that I'm inside of an abandoned police office space. My clothes are ripped apart from the acid inside of the cocoon, and feel tight on me. My skin glows as it feels more hydrated than ever. I feel sunlight touch my skin from a window on the ceiling and I begin to feel more powerful as I take all of the sunlight in.
I look at my hands as they're not mine. My body feels different and I look around for a mirror or glass to see my reflection. I walk towards a glass cell as I'm able to see my reflection and see myself as I've completely morphed into an enhanced version of myself! I touch my face, feeling my new face structure as I've never had a sharp jaw or cheekbones. I touch my lips feeling how plump they are, and my skin as it's smooth and clear from any of the small blemishes that I've had before. I look at my body as I'm completely toned with abs and biceps that I've never had, neither cared for!
What happened to me, changed me! I close my eyes trying to remember what happened as it's all a blur and see Lykos throwing shelves of my plants, snakes and toxins on to me. I remember the antidote failing and morphing me into this!
"Well, well." I hear a familiar distorted voice echo as the room gets a bit colder. I stop starring at my reflection through the cell, and see Killer Frost walk up towards the other end of the cell as he's trapped inside. "Hello replacement of mine." Killer Frost says as he stares at me, impressed and shocked by my new appearance.
"You're alive!" I say shocked to see him still breathing and standing after what happened. He stares at me coldly not caring for my empathy towards him and he continues to check me out planning to say something snarky.

"You look great... For a man." Killer Frost says to me and I'm confused as to what's happening. Lykos kidnapped me, and brought me here! "I see Lykos finally got his use out of you."
I then hear a loud train pass near us and I look around seeing the shadow of the train move through the building. "Where are we?" I ask him and he shrugs not knowing either.
"I don't know, but we're far from Beacon Hills. We don't have trains back home."
"Why haven't you tried to escape? Just freeze the glass cell or something?" I ask the obvious question and he looks at me making me feel dumb and intimidated.
"It's carbine." He sighs and turns around walking around his cell not having much space to really walk away from me completely.
"So why am I here? Why are you still alive?"
"Because Lykos needs us." He leans against a wall starring at me.
"But why?"
"That's an excellent question Danny! That's what I've been asking myself since he stopped himself from killing me and brought you here. But that doesn't matter now, because I don't plan to stick around here much longer."
"I thought you said your powers don't work."
"But you're gonna help me get out of here." He commands me and I look at him confused as I don't need him, neither trust him enough like Stiles does.
"Why would I do that?"
"Listen, buddy, there's no way you can get out of here. Lykos is the only thing that can move that giant vault door that's locking you in too." He says and we look at the only entrance, and exit out of this place which infect is a vault door. Killer Frost can freeze the locks, and shatter them, being able to push open the door. He's right. "So let's make a deal. You get me out of this box, and I'll help you get home. Might even throw some dating tips for you and Stiles for free. So what do you say Danny? Do we have a deal?" I hesitate but nod and look around the room getting ready to engineer something out of all the things in this room to free him.
_______
"Tick, tock, tick, tock." Killer Frost says impatiently as I continue putting things together. I grab two wires and walk towards the cell as I'm sure this will work.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" I sigh being slightly irritated by his impatience.
"Well, you better go faster. It's only a matter of time until Lykos comes back." Killer Frost makes a good point but I need to make this work the first time, or we'll be here forever.
"I could just leave you in there you know!" I tell him out of irritation but I won't, I can't leave him behind and he's willing to help me escape out of here.
"Aww! But you want to go home so badly." He teases me and his snarky comments are beginning to get on my nerves. I begin to set up the wires on to his cell and it gets awkward.
"So how did this happen to you?" I ask wanting to hear his perspective on all of this.
"Woke up one day, cold, pale. Thought I was sick. Turns out it was something else entirely." Killer Frost sums it up shortly leaving out the little events that transformed Chris into Killer Frost. Killer Frost brings up his hand, freezing the air dramatically around his hands, letting nitrogen gas fall to the ground showing off his abilities.
I finally finish setting up the wires and look at what my mind has created to help free Killer Frost. "So... How is this going to get me out?"
"The electrical current in the cable should heat up the carbine, which in turn should speed up the electrons and the faster they go-"
"The weaker its molecular structure becomes." Killer Frost says and I'm impressed that he would know this. "You weren't the first brains in the pack."
"Well, when it gets hot enough, it should make the carbine as fragile as glass."
"And then we can both get out of here." He smirks at me and I nod at him knowing that this should work!
"Okay, stay away from the wall!" I warn him and go to the electric box and get ready.
"Lets give it a whirl!" Killer Frost backs away from the carbine and I turn the box on as the electrical current goes directly to the carbine heating it up. The electricity begins to crackle on the carbine and then stops as the carbine should be sensitive enough.
I grab a hammer and walk towards the glass and Killer Frost walks towards the glass as well and we both become nervous. I quickly slam the hammer on the glass and the glass shatters all at once as we back away quickly. I laugh softly as I'm impressed and watch Killer Frost walk out of the cell.
"Well. Looks like you have a little bad ass in you after all." Killer Frost says impressed by me.
"Let's go home now." I say hurrying him up as he stops and I turn around to see him standing with steam leaving his hands ready to freeze me.
"Oh Danny... I don't think you're ever going to go home." He says and throws an ice beam at me. I quickly dodge it, as the ice beam almost hits my face.
"I thought we had a deal!" I shout angry at him as I should've known better.
"Ugh... Is everyone in Beacon Hills this gullible?" He says in a snarky tone and I make a run for it. Killer Frost freezes the ground and I slip, falling on the floor. "Bare feet aren't the best on ice are they?" He shouts as he walks towards me getting ready to kill me once and for all. "You know, once I saw you, I realized why Stiles chose you." He says being jealous of me and I see a plant as I hear it talk to me.
I look at the plant as I'm able to move it's leaves around and I focus on it harder as Killer Frost walks towards me.
"Because you are just like me." He stops and stares at me confused as I'm starring at a plant. He turns around and stares at the plant as it moves around everywhere and I manipulate it to knock Killer Frost to the ground.
Killer Frost falls to the ground and I stand up as the plant grows bigger and the vine reaches out to me, connecting itself to me. I become amazed at myself not knowing how I'm doing this and Killer Frost stares at me shocked.
"You're the other horseman." Killer Frost says panicked and he gets up from the ground walking towards me. "Let's go." He shoots a strong ice beam at the vault door, and the vault door blasts open leading us a way to escape. He grabs on to my hand and drags me out as he knows what he's doing.

Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
