Roy is taken into custody by the police and when he and Oliver get to the police station, Laurel is there and gets Oliver released. Later after Oliver is released, he finds out there is a metahuman in town that needs to be stopped, but he can't do anything because he would then be under suspicion again.

Oliver goes to Ray for help because he knows that it is the only way to stop the metahuman. Ray goes after the meta and is beaten pretty badly. Later Ray gives Oliver the technology to be able to control Ray's suit when he is fighting against the meta again. At first it was going well, but then the meta was able to disable the suit so that Oliver wasn't able to control it anymore, Ray had to fight on his own and he ended up winning. They then took the meta to STAR Labs to be put in their prison.

While Roy is in jail, he is stabbed by what looked like a guard and he was dead. He ended up faking his death and because of that everyone thought that the Arrow was dead, therefore Oliver was now free as well because everyone now thought Roy was the Arrow. Roy ended up having to leave the city because no one could know that he was still alive because if he was alive it might put suspicion back on Oliver.

While the team was sending Roy off to his new life Thea was visited by Ras and was stabbed to make sure that Oliver would join the League.

"I thought something was going to happen like this sooner or later. Ras doesn't take no for an answer." Sara said.

"So, I have to die for him to get what he wants?" Thea asked.

"I doubt that you die. I am sure that the pit will be used on you in return for Oliver's allegiance." Sara said.

"How could this guy be so evil as to do something like this?" Tommy asked.

"He is used to getting what he wants, and this is the only way he knows how to do that." Sara said.

"Let's just hope that none of this happens since we can find a way to stop it now. I really don't want to be on the run for the rest of my life." Roy said.

"You won't be. We will make sure that no one gets exposed in the future." Laurel said.

"I can't believe that you died because of my vendetta against Oliver. I would normally never do something like that. I guess grief will do crazy things to you." Quentin said.

"Don't worry about it. It's like we said earlier these things aren't going to happen this time around." Roy said.

"I hope not." Quentin said.

Oliver enters his and Thea's apartment and finds her on the floor close to death. He gets her to the hospital and finds out there is not much the doctors can do to help her. Oliver then looks out of the window and see smoke, which is the League way of communicating. He goes to the place and meets Maseo. Maseo said that Ras would let him use the Lazarus pit on Thea if he finally decided to join the League.

Malcolm tells Oliver that this is not a good idea because something changes in people who use the pit. Oliver goes anyways.

When they get to Nanda Parbat, they lower Thea into the pit and see comes out like a wild animal. They put her to sleep and when she wakes up, she is very confused.

Later Felicity goes and confronts Ras, and he tells her to go and spend time with Oliver because it will probably be the last time she will do so. When she gets to the room, they have sex. Later Felicity drugs Oliver so that she and the rest of the team can get Oliver out of there. The team is surrounded, and Oliver comes to and stops the League from attacking his friends. After the team is gone Oliver goes back to the League.

Later Thea wakes up to find herself in her apartment in Star City and she finds out what Oliver did for her and she doesn't take it well.

Oliver is now seen in Nanda Parbat taking his rightful place as the heir to the demon.

"I can't believe he actually joined the League. I guess he didn't really have a choice though. At least you are alive Thea." Sara said.

"I wish he wouldn't have done that for me though." Thea said.

"You know he would always do anything for you." Laurel said.

"I know and look at all the trouble it causes." Thea said.

"I know, but I doubt he sees it that way." Roy said.

"I guess you are right. I just hope that everything turns out ok." Thea said.

"I am sure it will sweetheart." Moira said.

Oliver is now being trained by Ras and the League and they are breaking him so that he will only be loyal to the League. Ras tells Oliver the story of how he because Ras. It had to do with him and his friend Damian Darhk being up for the crown and Ras was not able to kill his friend who escaped and started his own organization called HIVE. The reason for this story is because Oliver needs to take care of any competition he might have, which was Nyssa.

Oliver returns to Star City to take down Nyssa, but he finds that his old team is there, and they are going to fight him to stop him from killing Nyssa. Oliver then has no choice, so he takes Lyla hostage and give her back in when they trade for Nyssa. When they get to where they were to make the trade, a fight breaks out and Oliver looks like he is going to murder Diggle when Thea shoots him with an arrow. Oliver and the League leave with Nyssa in their custody.

Later Thea and Felicity are talking, and Felicity tells Thea that Roy is alive, and she gives Thea his address.

When Oliver and the League return, he finds out that he is going to have to marry Nyssa and then he is going to have to destroy his city using the Alpha/Omega. It is what he needs to do to become Ras.

"I didn't see that coming. Now Oliver is going to be married to Nyssa, so that he can have an heir." Sara said.

"Yeah, but how are we going to stop that virus from killing everyone in the city?" Diggle asked.

"I guess we will have to see. Things are certainly taking a couple of weird turns in this year." Laurel said.

"I wonder how Oliver will be able to come back home once this is all over. He can't be the Arrow anymore." Tommy said.

"I bet he finds a way to do it though. This is Oliver we are talking about." Quentin said.

"Yeah, I think that would be interesting to see how he gets back into the vigilante game." Laurel said.

"Well, one good thing is that I now know who killed my brother. I remember Deadshot saying something about HIVE giving him the contract. That mean that Andy was killed by Darhk." Diggle said.

"We will all help you when it comes time to fight HIVE. That is what friends are for." Laurel said.

"Thanks." Diggle said and everyone nodded.

Thea ends up going to find Roy and they spend some time together and they have sex.

Oliver finds out that Ras received the Alpha/Omega virus from Maseo as a gift to be let into the League. Oliver then leaves the fortress to meet with Malcolm, who seems to have been working with Oliver the whole time. Oliver is trying to take down the League from the inside. He was just having to make everything look good to Ras.

Malcolm now his to go and convince Team Arrow to help him and Oliver to take down the League. The team doesn't trust him or Oliver so he went and got Tatsu in the hopes that she would be able to convince the team to help. It worked and they were now on their way to Nanda Parbat. When they arrived, the team tried to take down the plane that was to take the League to Star City. Tatsu has to kill Maseo in order to save her life. The League then converges on the team and takes the captive. Malcolm tries to talk Ras into believing that Oliver was the one behind them coming and Oliver has to find a way to disprove this theory.

Roy decides that Thea is better off without him and he leave before she wakes up. He leaves her a note explaining things to her and he also leaves his Arsenal suit for Thea to use.

Ras decides that he is going to use some of the virus on the team. They beg Oliver for his help, but he leaves them in the cell to die. Later Oliver and Nyssa are seen get married even though Nyssa did try to kill him.

"I wonder how we are going to live through the virus being used on us." Laurel asked.

"I don't know but it should be interesting to see how we must have been inoculated." Diggle said.

"Looks like I finally have a suit. I am just sorry that you had to leave." Thea said.

"I think I was thinking you would be safer without me in your life." Roy said.

"That was probably a hard decision to make. I don't know if I could have done it." Quentin said.

"The only way for that to work out would be for Thea to go on the run with Roy and I don't think either of them wanted that." Moira said.

"I agree. That was very selfless Roy." Sara said.

"Yeah, I also think I might have made a mistake." Roy said.

"Maybe, but I bet you find your way back to each other in the end." Laurel said.

"That would be nice." Thea said.

"Yeah, it would." Roy said.

Oliver and Ras and some other League members including Nyssa are seen on a plane heading toward Star City.

The team starts to wake up in the cell not able to figure out how they had survived the virus until Malcolm told them that he was able to give them the cure when he had touched all of the earlier. The team then wondered how they were going to get free, but then Barry showed up and let them out of the cell. The team then went to head back to the city to help save it.

Something goes wrong with the plane and Ras blames Nyssa for it. Oliver then tells Ras that it was him. Oliver and Nyssa then fought Ras who jumped from the plane with the virus. Oliver and Nyssa were able to land the plane and then they went to coordinate with the rest of Team Arrow.

The team finds out that there are going to be four different places that will be attacked with the virus. They split up and go and stop the attacks with Thea showing up to help.

Oliver confronts Ras at the dam, and they fight for a while until it looks like Ras is going to win, but then Oliver catches his sword and then then stabs Ras. After Ras is dead, Oliver takes the ring of the demon and is shot by a sniper and is saved from falling to his death by Felicity in Ray's suit.

Once Oliver gets back to his team, he tells them that he is going to leave with Felicity and that he is leaving the city in their hands now. Diggle still is not happy with Oliver because he took Lyla hostage, but he still wishes him luck. Oliver then goes to give the ring to Malcolm so that he can be Ras which was part of their agreement. Oliver says that they will be fine as long as Malcolm doesn't do something that Oliver doesn't like. Nyssa is not having to work for Malcolm although she will be trying to kill him at any chance she gets.

Ray is later seen working on his suit, which explodes, so everyone assumes that he is dead.

"I can't believe that Ollie is going to leave this life behind. He won't be able to live without it." Thea said.

"I guess that's what happens when you are in love sweetheart." Moira said.

"You know he is going to be back though." Laurel said.

"I know. I just can't believe he thought he could do that." Thea said.

"Well, I am glad Ras is taken care of, but why would he trust Malcolm with that?" Quentin asked.

"I am not sure. I am sure there is a reason and that it will come back to bite him in the ass." Sara said.

"It always does when my dad is involved." Tommy said.

"Let's just hope it isn't too bad when it does blow up in his face." Moira said.

"Yeah, I can't see it being good though." Diggle said.

"I guess we will just have to wait and see." Laurel said.
