《Canary After Lightning》One

They always told you, once you meet the man of your dreams, you'd do anything for them. I always thought when I did, I would only do what was good for me, at least until my dream guy would want to start our life together. God was I wrong.
Here I was, only a day after my second date with this guy, following him to Central City. "... plus the medical advances it could bring are brilliant, it could even bring a cure for cancer if studied properly" Barry went on. I smiled. "I rambled, didn't I?"
"Yes, but it's cute," I said. God, now I know why Oliver was so whipped by Felicity. "I may not have attended University, but I did have a liking for physics in High school"
"Well, I can find a way to explain it more.." he trailed off, trying to find a way to not offend me.
"Dumbed down?" I giggled, "Its fine Barry"
"I was going for de-nerdizing it, but okay" He chuckled. "Are you sure Oliver will survive without you?"
"Yea, he has the same training as me, plus he has Roy, Dig, and Sara" I nodded. Barry was the first date that I revealed my side job too, surprisingly he handled it well.
I waited patiently, holding Oliver's arm, trying to keep him even a little responsive. Barry was slowly coming to as I looked over at him, he looked startled at Dig and Felicity before his eyes landing on me and Oliver. "Can you save him?" I asked.
He was about to say something, but Oliver started coding. I grabbed onto his shoulder and pushed him back down. "Hold him" Barry instructed Felicity and Dig, who jumped right to it.
"He's not going to make it" Dig said.

"He well" Felicity protested. "We just need to find out what he was injected with"
"I usually only work on dead people," Barry said.
"Barry," I said, he looked at me before maneuvering around the table.
"I can think of 4 possible diagnoses' for why his body is reacting this way" he used the penlight to look at Oliver's eyes. "3 possible diagnoses" he checked Oliver's forearm. "2. Start chest compressions"
I immediately started. "Come on, Ollie" I whispered.
Barry raved back over, taking a sample of Oliver's blood. "1. He's suffering from intravenous coagulation" he looks up and sees all our confused faces. "His blood not clotting properly, it's like maple syrup"
"You can save him right?" Felicity asked, her voice nearly breaking.
Barry looked around the room, finding what he needed, he returned to a table near Oliver. "Luckily you guys have a rat problem," he said.
"Are you kidding? That'll kill him" Dig said.
"He does if I don't" Barry warned.
"Fel, Ave?" Dig looked at me and Felicity. I nodded.
"Do it" Felicity announced.
"Okay, it's just enough to help him get his blood circulating again," He said, giving Oliver a shot of the rat poison.
"Oliver, please" I pleaded. Dig took over compression.
"Stay with me, Oliver"
After he saved Oliver's life and proceeded to get a threat that if he told anyone about Oliver's identity, he would be dead with an Arrow in his chest, he and I sorta reconciled.
"It's amazing isn't it?" Barry asked a grey-haired man a seat away from us.
"Truly" The man nodded. "You two must be newly-weds"
"Oh no, we actually just met" I explained.
"Ah" the man nodded, "I followed my wife to the big city after a week of knowing her. We've been married for 40 years"

"Awe" I smiled.
"Next station, Central City Centre" our stop. I started gathering my stuff.
"It was nice talking" Barry grabbed his bag.
"Come on, we're going to be late" I took his hand we ran off the train. "Okay, I should go drop off my stuff at my moms"
"I have to get to a scene," He says looking at his phone. "Uh..."
"I'll drop my bag off at my mom's and I can meet you at the CCPD," I said.
"Yes, umm... I'll call when I'm on my way back to the precinct. I can pick us up some big belly burger if you want" He said.
"Yea sounds good," I said. "Umm.. you should probably go"
His phone was going off again. "I'll call," he said.
"Go" I smiled.
He ran off, racing down the road as I giggled. How I was so wrong...

You Are The Gods.
You read the title right, YOU are a God within this story. In fact, every single reader of the story is a God. Many stories like to take the path that there are Gods that watch over the characters of the story, helping them or hurting them as the characters progress. What if, the readers of this story are the Gods that are watching the Main Characters? What if the readers could accrue points by reading that they could spend to help the main character, hurt the main character, or to even create new characters, dungeons, and scenarios? That is what I aim to create! I am trying to get the community involved in creating a reality that the readers themselves can directly influence! If you have any interest in this at all, I implore you to read the intro chapter called 'The Tutorial' and join everyone else on many interesting stories on Planet Earth and what it is to become! Volume 1 is where you can find how the system works, and the various things within the system! Volume 2 is the actual story and invasions itself. Volume 3 is where you can find previous polls and the such. Volume 3 is so we can all look back at the decisions made. Quick note. I am not the best writer, and will try my best to create the best quality story. There might be some grammar errors, or I might write in a simpler way compared to other authors because I do not have much time, nor can I write ahead either! If you wish to give me advice on the system as the story goes on, then I will gladly accept it. Lastly, just have fun with the story as I try to do something completely new! The Ultimate Supporter
Mona stood there, her body has stopped shaking as she stared at Sarah with no expression. “... do I have to set a goal?” Mona asked quietly. “Yes, if you do not then you will not be allowed to play Road Builder.” “...why? Why do we have to set a goal?” “This game is about inspiring people to work hard towards something that they wish to achieve. Don’t you have something you wish to achieve too ma’am?” “... I… do.” “What is your goal then ma’am?” “My goal… my goal is to become the ultimate supporter.” Feelings rushed back into Mona’s eyes as she clenched both her fists hard. “I want to help others succeed. I don’t need to be the main character. I want other people to be the main character.” Mona yelled as tears began to stream down her face. “I just… I just want to feel needed again.” Mona sniffled. Sarah looked at her with a soft expression on her face. “Is ‘I want to become the ultimate supporter’ your final choice?” Sarah asked. Mona bit on her lip as tears continued to stream down her face. She slowly nodded her head. “Alright then… this goal has been registered onto your avatar. You will soon spawn into a town and began your journey.” Sarah smiled, her eyes illuminating warmth to Mona. Mona nodded her head understanding as she wiped away the tears. A blue circle appeared around her as numbers counting down from ten appeared in front of her. 10… 9… 8… “By the way ma’am.” Sarah said. 7… 6… “Yes?” 5… 4… “I am sure you will achieve that goal, and to guarantee that, I give you my blessings.” 3… “What?” 2… “Enjoy your time in Road Builder.” 1… ********* Please point out if you notice any mistakes so that I can fix it. Also, because I re-edit this a lot so the chapters are going to come out very slowly(and because the blue tables take a while to do). Any comments and reviews are welcomed and are appreciated! Thanks for reading!

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.

I am but Divine
Being a god is a dream. A very big, ambitious dream that probably no one has ever achieved. In the world of Taerrea, there were a set amount of gods that ruled over the world; the god of war, the god of the skies, the god the earth, etc. and that the general rule of thumb was that the numbers of the gods could not be added nor removed. That changed after one fateful event. Nemer, a Slayer, had died from a battle, and from a deal he made with a doubtedly wise god of wisdom and knowledge, Wize, he became the first ever lesser god.
