《Into You》Chapter Nine

-Later that day-
I walked into Olive Garden and saw Terrance sitting at a table, looking at a menu.
I told one of the waitors that I was with him and I walked to his table and sat down.
He looked at me and smiled.
"I don't know why you are smiling?", I crossed my arms.
He frowned and sighed.
"Now what is so important?", I asked him.
"Um. I told my parents that we are getting married and you're pregnant"
"You what?!"
"Listen, I couldn't tell them what I did. They would be so dissappointed because they actually loved you out of all the girls I dated"
"Terrance, you need to tell them. It's your fault while we aren't together anymore"
"Well a little bit is yours too"
"How in the fuck is it my fault too? Tell me"
"Well you were getting a little boring"
"Me? I was getting boring? You were making me feel like more of a housewife than a 22 year old girlfriend that you had been dating for 4 years"
"Leah"
"Bye Terrance"
I got up and left. I walked to my car and got in.
I drove off and sighed.
"Can't believe his bitch ass"
.
I was on my way to my babymama's house. Yes, I have a kid.
My daugther is 5 years old and her name is Lai'lah Teressa Woods. She was born when I was 18.
I knocked on the door and the door opened.
"Hey", she said, smiling.
"Wassup", I hugged her and walked in the house.
Me and her get along good. We don't have no drama to be honest. She takes care of her business and I take care off mine.
"Daddy!"
I bent down as she ran into my arms and I hugged her while smiling.

"How you doing?"
"Good, I missed you"
I haven't seen her in like 2 weeks because I been a little busy with Leah and other things but I'm all good now.
"You want to spend the night?"
"Yeah, grab your suitcase"
She pulled away and went to grab her bag. I looked at her mom.
"You need any money or anything?"
"Nah, I'm fine"
See, the reason that we didn't work out was because of me. I cheated on her twice but in the progress, I got her pregnant before we broke up.
"I'm ready", Lai'lah said.
"Alright let's go"
.
I put Lai'lah down to sleep. We ate then played some games and she got sleepy.
I walked out and closed the door. I heard a knock on my door and I walked to it.
I opened it and saw Leah. My eyes widen and she pecked my lips. She walked in and I closed the door.
"What you been doing?", she asked, taking off her shoes.
"Nothing, chilling", I nervously laughed.
She looked at me and rose her eyebrow.
"What?", I asked.
She started walking to the back really fast. I followed her.
"What what", I said.
"Where's the bitch at so I can beat her ass?!"
"Shhh"
She walked into Lai'lah's room and saw her sleeping. Her mood dropped and she closed the door.
"Is that your niece?"
"Daugther", I rubbed my neck.
"You have a kid and you didn't tell me?", she crossed her arms.
"Every girl I have tried to date always leave me because I have a daugther. You want to leave me too?", I frowned and looked down.
"I'm not like that Dominic, I just wish you would have told me"
I looked at her. She pulled me close to her and kissed me then she pulled away.
"It's okay, I'm okay with it. Just don't hide things from okay?"
"Yeah, I got you"
She smiled and put her head on my chest. I kissed her forehead and put head on top of hers.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5

Re: Dragonize
After an unexpected turn of events, Drew must now survive in a world full of challenges with life-or-death stakes. Gone are the days when the biggest problems to face were awkward small-talk at physics department luncheons or mountains of lab work; this former physicist is now adrift in an unfamiliar land without any equipment. Now, Drew's only tool (if it can be called that) is a System, which provides constant reminders of all of the things that are still out of reach for a low-level being who's just arrived in a new world. Luckily, Drew has one powerful asset when taking on the challenges of this new world: surviving violent conflict is a lot easier when you have the power of a dragon at your disposal. Still, Drew has always considered violence a last resort. Why turn to fists (or claws) when a bit of quiet consideration might expose a better path forward? Maybe a life of quiet contemplation is still within reach for this former academic researcher. ...Or maybe not. It probably won't be a life of bloodless pacifism. Additional information for those who wish to calibrate their expectations (I'm adding this based on a few comments I received from readers who feel that the story is not what they expected from a dragon-themed story): Re: Dragonize is not a power fantasy -- or at least, it's not intended to be one. Re: Dragonize is a progression fantasy starting with a protagonist who must start at the bottom (or close to it), and work gradually upwards, making incremental progress with plenty of setbacks along the way. The protagonist, as someone coming from the world of academia, tends to be cautious, methodical, and contemplative. As such, expect this story to contain more than a few digressions as the main character takes the time to pontificate on a variety of topics ranging from Newtonian physics and horology to the nature of existence and the ethical dilemmas associated with being an obligate carnivore.
