As the sun streamed down, I fluttered my eyes open. I was sleeping at the nook of Alex's shoulder. He slept peacefully; his hair messy. His chest was rising up and down as I drew doodles with my finger. I laid there drinking his features. As last night's toe curling memories flashed in, I couldn't help but smile. Ogling again!

"I love you Mr. Grumpy" the words just left my mouth. I wasn't surprised for I realized it yesterday itself but what about him? He never said he loved me. He said he wants me and had always wanted me. Isn't that just a physical need?

'I'm not marrying you because of love. Think of it purely as a business arrangement' The memory of his voice boomed inside my head.

I had forgotten all about the deal and now I'm physically, mentally, and emotionally into this. It struck me that we didn't use any protection yesterday. What if I become pregnant? What will be his reaction? Will it change our equation? I sighed. My brain was overthinking again and I could feel the buzz inside my head as I connected events with words and my assumptions.

I decided to get up gently without disturbing him. As I tried to slide, his arms tightened and pulled me to him.

"Good Morning Beautiful" He whispered.

"Were you awake?" 'Oh shit! He would've heard what I said'

"I'm an early riser so yes, I woke up about an hour back" he rubbed my cheek

"And? What were you doing?"

"I just watched you sleep. I could do this forever" He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.

"Are you okay?" He rubbed my back sending tingling sensations all over my body. I nodded a yes.

"And you? Are you okay?" I asked him. He hugged me tighter as an answer and I closed my eyes savoring the feel of his skin and the smell of his musk perfume mixed with his sweat. I love how he smells. We laid in that position for a few minutes without talking.

"Did you meant what you said Amy?" He suddenly asked and my eyes flew open 'Shit! He did hear me'

"Err – Yes – but -" I faltered "- but I do remember our deal. So -, so you need not worry" I finished lamely. He didn't say anything for a few minutes. I could already feel a sinking pit in my stomach.

"Wait here." He said suddenly. "I have a something for you." His eyes twinkled. "So be here and don't go anywhere." He leaped out of bed and rummaged something from his suitcase. Then he went to the bathroom. I could hear the water running.

'God! This is embarrassing Amy! He didn't respond at all. He'll be wanting to run away!' I adjusted the pillow and closed my eyes thinking about the awkwardness of the situation.

Within a few minutes, Alex came out, a white towel wrapped around him. He stood in front of me and extended his hand. I took his hand and got up from the bed. Was he taking me to the bathroom? As I entered, I saw the bathtub filled with water and rose petals. I smiled. He took me in his arms and cupped my face.

"Do you remember once in office you said about a nice long hot bath?" He said and I nodded thinking about that elusive bath.

"I've been dreaming of this ever since." He kissed me softly. He led me into the bathtub. I was thinking about it as we both plopped into the bathtub, splashing water and flowers.

"Wasn't that long time back? Like your first week in office?" I asked

"Yup. I've been in love with you for a some time now Amy!" He smiled at me "This is not how imagined things to turn out but I am not complaining."

'Wait! What did he say just now?' I couldn't believe it!

"I know we have a contract. I know I'm going to marry you -" He continued "– but I want to marry you out of love. I know that I love you but I didn't know from your side." He grinned. "And now that it is clear, there's nothing stopping me -"

With that, he took a tiny box kept at the soap dish. He popped it open. The large oval green sapphire shone brightly and the tiny diamonds surrounding it created numerous rainbows as the light danced around the ring. I gasped.

"Amelia Jane Wilson, Will You Marry Me?"

"Yes. Oh Yes! I will."
