Eden's POV
Before long, I found myself strapped to a chair. I tried to fidget, but it was no use. In fact, the metal cuffs around my wrists and ankles seemed to get tighter every time I tried to move restlessly.
"The more you resist, the tighter it will be," a voice called out. Hecate was in the room.
"Where am I?" I demanded to know.
"You're inside the Death Star,"
I gasped. This was the last place I wanted to be in. I was captured a while back, but was able to break free by using an escape pod that happened to crash land on Tatooine. Great. I'm back.
"Where are my comrades?" I raised my voice.
"They're elsewhere in the Death Star," Hecate approached me. "Give me the data card,"
"Or else?"
"I'll blow up your home planet,"
"No!" I screamed. Not my home planet! My family, my friends---they're all there. Please blow up another planet, a useless one. Please!
"So, what's it gonna be, Princess?" Hecate spat out the last word like how one would spit out rotten blue milk. "Are you gonna save Anakin Skywalker's ass or the entire planet of Alderaan?"
"I'm not giving you the data card! And I won't let you destroy Alderaan!"
"I sense suffering in you. You're insecure, afraid of being rejected,"
I mean, yeah, she's right. Every teenager wants to be accepted by their peers. Once upon a time, I wasn't such a bitch. I was taken in by my friends, who promised to treat me right. After a while, they started hazing me. I knew I had to leave them, but I couldn't for fear of being rejected.
"You want to leave your friends and yet you want them to accept you just the way you are," Hecate continued.

"Get out of my head," I spat out.
"I know you have the data card. Give it to me, and I shall spare your home planet," Hecate outstretched her hand.
"No!"
"You will give it to me," Hecate waved her hand in an odd fashion.
"I refuse,"
"I'll do this one last time. Give me the data card," Hecate continued waving her hand in a weird fashion. I clenched my teeth for fear of spilling the beans about the data card. This lasted for a good few silent minutes. Unable to take it anymore, I opened my mouth.
"You're just like Emperor Palpatine. A manipulative freak who wants to rule the galaxy," I say. I learned in history class that Palpatine tried to seduce Anakin Skywalker to the dark side and when he couldn't, he turned against him. Long story short, Anakin defeated Palpatine on Mustafar. The teachers always said Palpatine was a crazy dictator whose plans made no sense.
Suddenly, there was a bang against the door. I turned my head to see a blue lightsaber cutting a hole in the door. Then, the leftover metal flew off, and in stepped Luke, Han, and Ben.
"Get away from her!" he Force pushed a bunch of boxes towards Hecate. One of them hit her in the head, causing her to collapse.
"How'd you find me?" I asked as Han undid my restraints.
"Ben and Luke sensed your presence," he answered.
"Thanks," I rubbed my wrists once I was freed from the restraints.
"Come on, we've no time to waste," Han grabbed my arm as we all made our exit.
"Hey! You ain't getting away!" Hecate roared as she went after us.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
