Stacy and Thomas followed Alex and Lauren outside. The wizard was waiting for them, with his wolves snarling at them, hungry for their dinner. Suddenly, Alex and Lauren were thrown back inside, and the door slammed shut behind them.
"Ah, my spell worked. No one can help you but yourselves. Your first clue is on the table. You must find the three keys to let you back into the castle. You know what happens to the loser," the wizard explained. Thomas and Stacy walked to the small table and picked up their first note.
"Begin."
The clues were drawings of different areas of the garden.
My first clue is a picture of a bird bath, so I start running for it cause its on the other side of the garden.
My clue is a drawing of a gazebo, and I go for it, but I have no clue exactly where this key is.
Stacy was looking for her clue as Thomas made it to the bird bath.
I can see the key, its right at the bottom of this bird bath, and it looks like its about a meter deep, so I try to grab this key, and its freezing cold.
Thomas rolled up his sleeve and dunked his hand into the ice cold water. He just managed to grab the key and pull it out. He looked at the clue attached to it, an image of a rose bush. He pocketed the key and ran towards the rose bush as Stacy desperately looked for her final clue. She started ripping up floorboards and finally found her key and clue. It was an image of a bird feeder, and she ran towards it whilst pocketing her key.
Thomas was attempting to get his key without hurting himself on the thorns. He managed to grab his key as Stacy found her's in the bird seed. They both looked at their final clues. For Thomas, it was an image of the shed. For Stacy, it was a picture of the greenhouse. They both ran towards their final key and tore the places apart looking for them.

At this point, I am just tearing this place apart and looking for this key anywhere. And then, I find it, along with a note.
Thomas ran out of the shed and bolted towards the door. He unlocked the door and ran in, and was greeted by Alex and Lauren.
I hear the door shut, and I know I'm dead. I had a good run, and I can't help thinking about the irony of the Hound Master being killed by wolves.
"Now, my pets, you can feast on that one," the wizard pointed to Stacy, and they ran for her. She stood there, waiting for them to come. They pounced on her and started ripping her to shreds. Screams were heard throughout that castle until they were eventually replaced by wolves howls, then silence.
Alex and Lauren lead a slightly traumatised Thomas to the remaining guests. When he arrived, the guests breathed a sigh of relief. The totem Zoe won lit up.
"What happened? We heard screams," Joey asked.
"We got locked out of the castle and we had to find keys to unlock it. I found my keys first, and Stacy lost. You guys remember what Jesse said, she got eaten by the wolves. But I found this note," Thomas said.
"What does it say?" Dan asked. Thomas opened the note.
Dear guests,
Thank you for releasing my spirit. I thought I should explain what happens when we power up the totems. Our remaining life force goes into those totems, and we can finally be at peace. I can't thank you enough. I'm sorry your friend had to die for me. I wish you all luck.
- Jesse Wellens
The group looked around at each other, then they looked at the totem tower, fear and sadness filling their hearts, but also determination to survive.

Flesh Forger
Born a bit too late to explore the world, yet far too early to explore space, Graham Lattem is your average 61 year old man - if a little wanderlust filled. That being said, he has a happy home, loving wife, children who check up on him, and a decent retirement fund to live out his golden years modestly. Then it happens. [System Initialization Commencing…] A trick of the light, surely. [Planetary Merger Protocol 331 Enabled] Rumbling can be heard in the distance. Shouts. Cries of anguish. A horrible, ear numbing crashing sound. An earthquake. A hole opens in the middle of his home, and our protagonist falls in as a swirling vortex consumes him. Mountains as far as the eye can see greet Graham as he opens his eyes. Well, and more glowing words: [Welcome To The Macrocosm] [Good Luck] Far away from his family in a world hell-bent on his demise, how will this old, arthritis ridden man survive? Did I mention he has cancer? ===================================================================== Aiming for at least 1 chapter every other day, though there is a very big chance it will more oftentimes than not be more than that! This is my first ever story. One that I’ve been wanting to write for awhile. The system is most definitely inspired by Randidly Ghosthound and The New World, but I promise the story is different! Please point out any mistakes, as I’d love to improve! Also the warnings are just to let me experiment.

Steps of the Immortal Tree
Evan stood on a hill, staring calmly at the gate of his former clan. A crowd waited behind him, some eyeing the clan in an unresigned manner, others looking at their spiritual support. Some of the young children shivered at the gnawing cold. Wind howled in his ears, seemingly deploring his fate. A silvery cloud drifted over the mountains surrounding the compound. The roar of a river could be heard from underneath its frozen surface. He had reincarnated many years ago. Hailed as a prodigy from his youngest age, Evan had seemingly tread on a path to invincibility. He had gotten married with his childhood sweetheart and had cultivated with a group of friends, forming a considerable power of his own. Yet now, here he was, devoid of any path to move forward, with his energy locus destroyed. His wife was dead and his branch had been kicked out of the clan. He looked at his progeny that had been entrusted to him. The baby seemed content in his father’s strong arms, too young to understand anything but the warmth of the father’s beating heart. Signaling to the people behind him, he turned around and the procession gradually disappeared in the distance, as the sun gradually set and the stars acted as a guide. --- Author-san here. I originally started this novel on another account, but lost the login information for it, so I'll be restarting this story here. Thanks for understanding! This is my first fiction, so I appreciate any and all feedback! (^^) The cover picture is by Yuji Himukai (as pointed out by Truis). I found it on the internet. Please contact me if you want to have it taken down. If anyone is interested in drawing a cover, send it to me. I'll put it up if I feel it represents the book well, with your name in the credits.
