《Escape The Night - Season 3》Episode 20 - Salvation

Thomas and Zoe walked away from the castle, neither of them looking back.
We survived the night, I feel so lucky, but I'll never be able to forget what we saw tonight, and I'll never forget all those who died. We will keep their memories alive, and even if the world forgets, we won't.
No one will ever believe what happened here tonight, but whatever cover story is put out there, because they can't tell this story, we'll know that everyone died while fighting for their life, and we'll never forget them.
They were met at the front gate of the castle by Matt, Tyler and Andrea.
"You escaped," Matt said, "well done."
"What do we do now?" Zoe asked.
"We'll take you home, we already a have a cover story, Eva and Oli will take the bodies away," Tyler said. Two other people approached the castle. A tall, strong looking man with light brown hair and a woman with short brown hair walked towards the castle, giving Zoe and Thomas a sympathetic look as they passed.
"They survived Joey's first party, in the 1920s," Andrea explained, "come on, let's get you home."
Thomas and Zoe followed Andrea and Matt to the carriage and hopped in. Tyler joined them, and Andrea and Matt sat in the drivers seats. The carriage started to move.
"What's cover story you're putting out?" Thomas asked.
"You were going to the party where you were taken hostage by a group of sadistic murderers who forced to to fight for your lives in sick games they devised, over the course of a few days. You managed to stop them with our help and we managed to rescue you as you were the only survivors," Tyler explained, "I'm sorry we're not giving you all the credit for saving the day, I didn't come up with this story."

"As long as people know that everyone died fighting," Zoe said, "why was it over a few days?"
"You've been gone for a day, and by the time we get back, it'll be two days, it's just easier to say it happened over a few days," Tyler said.
"Makes sense," Zoe said. She let out a yawn, and she and Thomas started to feel tired for the first time that night.
"You two should get some rest, it's been a long night," Tyler said. Zoe and Thomas fell asleep almost instantly as Tyler hummed a tune to himself.
———
"Wake up, you guys, we're almost home."
Thomas and Zoe woke up to Matt's voice. He and Andrea helped them and Tyler out of the carriage and they headed for a mini van, with the Society Against Evil logo spray painted on the side of it.
"It's going to be easier to get into the city in this than the carriage," Matt joked, "you can sleep on the way of you want to."
The five of them got into the van, and their driver started driving towards the city.
"Where are Eva and Oli?" Andrea asked as Thomas and Zoe nodded off again.
"They're heading to the mortuary first," Matt said, "they said to meet them back at base."
———
Thomas and Zoe woke up as the van pulled up outside a police station. Their family and friends were waiting for them outside. Thomas and Zoe finally reunited with them, both of them bursting into tears at the sight of them. The Society told them the cover story, and that the families of the other guests had been informed of what happened. Without saying goodbye, they left again.
Zoe and Thomas said their goodbyes, and promised to keep in touch, then went their separate ways, grateful that they had escaped the night.

Shades Of Meaning Book 1 : Ghost Shy
Grace tried never to interact with the ghosts that plagued her. After years of practice she was pretty good at pretending they didn't exist. Life was almost normal. That is until she was betrayed and kidnapped. Then it went to hell fast. Breaking free of her captors was only the first step. Conjured Villain
A game. That's what we were summoned for. No, none of us are heroes, though some fashion themselves as such. We were taken from Earth to compete, to entertain, to win. Some worlds we know from our popular culture, others are exotic to the extreme. Along the way, we gain power, yes, but the real reason we do it, the real reason we struggle and battle to the death is simple: freedom. We long for it so badly that we are willing to do anything. Anything. In this Game, some were assigned to be heroines, others as martyrs, and even some as love interests. And it just so happens that my assignment is simple: be the villain.-----------------Hey guys!
