《Join The Crew [ One Piece Various x JJK Reader]》Chapter 8

Buildings surrounding them were destroyed, either burnt down or reduced to rubble. Somehow, Luffy had pinned both of the cursed spirits with his rubber arms. While Buggy struggled to keep a single cursed spirit pinned to the wall, using his floating hand to keep it away from him.
(Y/n) stood there, a little ruffled up from dodging Sukuna's attacks, while Sukuna looked unharmed, and amused. "(Y/n), you're exhausted, let me handle him," Zoro said with a worried look while placing a hand on her shoulder. "No way... You'd die" (Y/n) said seriously, and harshly shoved him away from the fight.
"Speak for yourself! I'm out of here!" Buggy exclaimed as he ran for it, leaving his hand to keep the cursed spirit pinned down. "Where do you think you're going? Don't think I forgot about you" Sukuna said as he gripped Buggy's cape, stopping him in his tracks. "EEEK!!! No! No! I'm sorry! Please let me go! I don't want to die!!!" Buggy cried out.
"Begging for your life? Pathetic" Sukuna said mockingly as he swung Buggy around, and flung him into a building. The impact destroyed the building, sending it tumbling to the ground. "Captain Buggy!!!" Mohji and Cabaji called out in worry. Sukuna then glanced at the two males, giving them a sadistic grin, as they both freezer up in fear.
"Now which one of you disrespected me? You? No... Ah, that's right! It was you" Sukuna said while looking at Cabaji. "No! No, it wasn't! It was him! I swear!" Cabaji exclaimed while pointing to a Mohji, now scared for his life. "Cabaji! You traitor!!" Mohji exclaimed in betrayal and disbelief.
"Either way, you're both going to die, just because I want to," Sukuna said as he appeared in front of them, leaning down to their height. "AHHHHHHH!!!" Both men screamed, both now ugly crying as they hugged each other, waiting for their inevitable doom.
"Disgusting... Pathetic, weaklings, so pathetic that you even pissed yourself" Sukuna said with a disgusted look, no longer finding them amusing. Suddenly a bunch of body parts scattered about, and two hands came flying at Sukuna's face, with swords in them.
Sukuna looked confused for a moment, and quickly got the hands within his own, making them release the swords. "What's this? A floating hand?" Sukuna asked while examining the hands. "Let go! Let go! Give me my hands back!!" Buggy ordered while floating in the air.
"Who are you ordering around?" Sukuna asked with a dark glare, gripping the hands harder, as the sound of bones breaking sent the onlookers in dread. "AHHH!!!" Buggy screamed in pain, now trying harder to slip his hands out of Sukuna's grip.
In the corner of Sukuna's eyes, he can see (Y/n) gathering most of Buggy's body and tying them up with Nami's help. The cursed spirits have already been dealt with. Smirking in amusement, he released the hand, allowing it to float hastily away from him. "Body parts! Assemble!!" Buggy yelled out, as only his head, legs, and hands reattached themselves.
"Erk!" Buggy exclaimed as he turned pale, now realizing a major flaw in his plan. "Thanks for the help Nagi" (Y/n) said with a thumbs up, earning a whack to her head. "It's Nami! Get it right!" Nami exclaimed angirly as she held down the body parts. "Gah! My parts!!!" Buggy exclaimed in shock.
"Now, this is a better position, don't you think? Now, where was I? Oh right!" Sukuna said with an innocent smile, somehow making it creepier than his sinister smile. He then swung his leg back and punted him, sending him flying, and making a twinkle in the sky from how far Buggy went.

"Thanks for the help Zucchini! He was a pain in the ass!" (Y/n) said as she patted his back. "ARE YOU INSANE?! HE JUST TOOK OUT BUGGY WITH NO PROBLEM! DON'T ACT ALL BUDDY-BUDDY WITH HIM!!" Nami yelled out while shaking (Y/n) back and forth. "Speaking of... Where did he go?" Luffy butted in while pointing to the empty spot Sukuna once stood in.
"AHHHHHHHHH!!! HOW DID HE JUST VANISH?! WAS HE SOME KIND OF GHOST!?" Nami screamed frantically. "Why are you screaming at me for?" (Y/n) muttered out with a deadpan look, somehow already having her blindfold back on. "Who was that guy anyway?" Luffy asked curiously.
"HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING AT ALL?! Look, that guy is bad news, he's said to be the worst Pirate. He's one of the warlords, and although he doesn't conquer the land, he makes a big name for himself" Nami explained to Luffy. "Oh, but why was he here for (Y/n)? He said he was looking for her" Luffy pointed out.
"Well... In short, I ran away from him" (Y/n) explained with a shrug. "YOU WHAT?! DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!" Nami exclaimed as she shook (Y/n) back and forth again. Nami then sighed and placed a map in (Y/n)'s hands, confusing her. "Here, take it, it's the chart to the Grand Line, it's a thank you gift for saving me," Nami said with a blush coating her cheeks.
"Oh, thanks Naki" (Y/n) said as she shoved the paper into her pocket. "I SAID MY NAME'S NAMI! ARE YOU AS DENSE AS HE IS?!" Nami exclaimed angirly while pointing to Luffy. "Oh! Does this mean you'll be joining me and my pirate crew?" Luffy asked hopefully. "I told you! No matter what, I'll never join a pirate crew! Definitely not after figuring out you're being hunted by THE Demon King!" Nami exclaimed with her hands on her hips.
"But, I guess hanging around with you seems profitable enough. Just remember this, I'm only joining you cuz it's in my interest" Nami said sternly. "Sure!" Luffy said with a big grin while wrapping an arm around (Y/n)'s shoulder. Zoro then approached them and ruffled up (Y/n)'s hair.
"You little daredevil, don't fight him alone next time!" Zoro scolded while pushing her head down. "Shouldn't we check on the mayor?" Nami asked, reminding them about the innocent bystander. "Oh, that's right, I forgot about him" (Y/n) said calmly. "You're memory is as bad as a goldfish" Nami grumbled with an annoyed sigh.
"You there! You're not a resident of this village!" A villager pointed out, as a mob stood behind him. "Nope! Who're you?" Luffy asked innocently. "What was all that cannon fire? And the destruction of buildings we heard? It sounded like there was some sort of battle. If you know anything, please tell us!" A villager said, ignoring Luffy's question.
"Oh, you must be the villagers of this place! Sorry about the commotion" (Y/n) said as she rocked back and forth on the hilts of her feet. "Oh! Mayor!" A villager exclaimed as they noticed the Mayor's passed-out body. "Oh no! Say something!" Another villager exclaimed in worry. "Can you hear me?" A villager asked as they try to gain the Mayor's senses back.
"He's out cold!" A female citizen pointed out worriedly. "The pirates definitely did this!" A villager immediately assumed. "How horrible!" A villager exclaimed, now immediately believing that assumption. "Oh, sorry about that, I actually knocked him out" (Y/n) butted in while pointing to herself.

"What?!" The villagers asked, now glaring at (Y/n). "Did you have to tell them that?! Now you have to explain to them before they get angry!" Nami whispered and yelled to (Y/n). "Oh, right" (Y/n) said casually, ignoring the fact that the villagers are already angry, and now standing in front of (Y/n) threateningly.
"Tell me, why exactly did you knock our mayor out, and leave him in the street to die?" A villager asked angirly. "You better explain yourself! Who are you?" Another villager asked demandingly. "Are you with the pirates?" Another villager asked accusingly. "We're pirates" Luffy butted in bluntly, adding more fuel to the fire.
"Just as we thought!" The villagers yelled out angirly, while Nami anime fell from Luffy's words, and Zoro laughed hysterically. "YOU IDIOT!" Nami yelled out angirly, "but it was true!" Luffy countered back nervously. "Pirates! How dare you ravage our town?! We won't show you any mercy for what you've done!" The villager warned.
"Guess it's our cue to leave" (Y/n) said as Luffy grinned at her. "Run!!" Luffy yelled out as he ran, Zoro, Nami, and (Y/n) following him. The villagers spat out complaints and threats as they ran after them, while one villager stayed by the mayor's side. "How do you always make things worse?" Nami asked angirly while carrying her bags of treasure.
"This is a good town!" Luffy said randomly, confusing Nami. "Everyone's so mad, just because of the old mayor guy" Luffy explained, clearing up her confusion. Suddenly, the ground shook as someone jumped in between them and the mob of villagers. The villagers stopped in their tracks, while Luffy and his group glanced behind them.
What stood in front of the villager's path was Sukuna, who blocked them from getting past him. "What the- Where did he come from?!" Nami exclaimed in disbelief. "Haha! Thanks for the help buddy!" Luffy called out as they ran further from his sight. "I'm not doing it for you, punk!" Sukuna called out with a sadistic grin, but Luffy just smiled happily at him.
"We're turning here," Luffy said as he turned sharply, catching Nami off guard. "Wait! Hold on! You got to let me know sooner!" Nami complained as she followed after him. "Yeah, Luffy! We're in a life or death situation here!" Zoro also complained, while (Y/n) somehow kept up with Luffy.
When they jumped over hay bales, they found the dog sitting there, just in case some villagers passed by Sukuna's figure. "Doggy! Our hero!" (Y/n) called out happily, despite the fact that Sukuna is the one who's rescuing her ass. "Later doggie!!" Luffy called out happily, as they kept running, now certain they won't be followed.
"Alright... That just doesn't add up... First, he attacks us, now he's saving us?" Nami asked, referring to Sukuna. "Relax, we're safe because of him, and that dog" (Y/n) said reassuringly. "I agree with this girl here, you really need some explaining to do, doll," Zoro said with crossed arms.
"Explaining later! We're getting out of here first... Hey, is this your boat?" Luffy asked while pointing to the bigger boat. "It's great!" Luffy complemented, already assuming an answer to his question. "It's nothing special, but I guess it'll do. I stole it from some dumb pirates a few days back" Nami explained proudly.
"That's one big mouth you got!" Someone said surprising Nami, as three pirates revealed themselves. "We've been waiting for ya, you little thief," a pirate said with a grin. "Never thought you'd run into us here, now did ya girly?" Another pirate asked with a smile. "Oh, hey, it's those three that pointed a sword at me" (Y/n) pointed out casually.
"Hey, it's that girl from earlier! So these are your friends? I guess we'll have to punish the two of them as well. It's time you learned what happens when you steal other people's stuff!" the pirate said cockily. "What was that?" Zoro asked with a dark glare, scaring the pirates, as they didn't notice him earlier.
"Alright! Let's get going!" Luffy said as they sat in their boat, sailing next to Nami's boat. "Wait, isn't that Buggy's mark on your sail?" Zoro asked while looking at Nami's boat. "Well, this did use to be Buggy's boat, think I should change it?" Nami asked innocently.
"Hey!! Wait!! Young ones!" The mayor called out, earning an innocent wave from (Y/n). "Thanks! Thank you!" The mayor called out honestly. "You're welcome!! Sorry about the destroyed mess!" (Y/n) called back with a large smile. "Yeah! Don't worry about it! Take it easy!!" Luffy added in happily.
But the moment was ruined when Nami found one of her bags missing. "What'd you do Luffy, huh?! Don't tell me you left that bag of treasure back there!!" Nami exclaimed angirly. "Actually, I did that" (Y/n) butted in with a thumbs up, innocently smiling at Nami.
"That was worth around 5 million berries, you idiot!!" Nami exclaimed, now pissed. "Really? Well, guess they can use all that to repair the village I damaged" (Y/n) said with a shrug. "BUT THAT WAS MY TREASURE!, JERK!!" Nami yelled while touching her forehead against (Y/n)'s forehead.
Nami then tried to grab (Y/n)'s head, only to miss completely. "Stay still! Let me teach you a lesson on stealing from me!!" Nami exclaimed angirly as she kept trying to grab (Y/n). "I rather not" (Y/n) said as she dodged casually, adding more fuel to the fire. Zoro and Luffy laughed at (Y/n)'s conflict with Nami, not even tempted to help her.

"You what?!" Jogo exclaimed, seething with anger at Sukuna's words. "You heard me, don't make me repeat myself," Sukuna said harshly as he leaned against the wall. "You had her right there! I saw it! And you let her get away! Don't give me that 'I lost her' nonsense!" Jogo said accusingly.
"You saw it? Are you saying you just sat back and watched, like it was some show?" Sukuna asked with a threatening tone. "Don't change the subject! We're on the same team!... We made a deal, you better follow threw" Jogo said in a calm tone. Ever since his plan with Satoru Gojo slipped out of his grip, he's been less rational lately.
"We made a deal, yes, but ordering me around will get you nowhere. I do what I want, when I want, no questions asked. If you have a problem with it, then die" Sukuna said with a dark glare, showing his sharp nails threateningly. "You're lucky you're a valuable asset to this plan, and to this team" Jogo grumbled out as he walked away, fire-spewing out of the top of his volcanic head.
"I'm lucky? Do you really believe that? Don't forget, you're alive because I allowed you to live" Sukuna called back warningly, watching as the curse left his sight. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Geto lurking in the shadows, and stepping out with a respectful bow towards Sukuna.
"Please ignore his rant, he's been greatly on edge, and has become impatient," Geto said while keeping his head down. "We're both grateful that you've allowed us on this journey with you" Geto finished with a hidden smirk. "I brought you along because you followed me here. Without me, you'd be at square one, remember that Sorcerer" Sukuna spat out with a wide grin.

What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
