《Join The Crew [ One Piece Various x JJK Reader]》Chapter 14

A/N: This is a long chapter, honestly I forgot about this guy.
Usopp stood at the front of the boat, a foot placed upon the railing, which connected to the neck of the ram's head. "Hmph... You pathetic little maggots, you had knowingly attacked the invincible fleet of pirates. Commanded by Captain Usopp on the going marry!! Hyah!!!" Usopp yelled as he jumped down to the deck.
"Attack them! Show no mercy!!!" Usopp yelled as he swung his wooden sword about, only to stop in surprise. Currently, everyone is ignoring him, Nami is reading over maps, Zoro is sleeping, and his head rested on (Y/n)'s shoulder. While Luffy is busy painting something on a black canvas, leaving Usopp the only one standing on the deck.
Zoro rose his head a little to take a deep yawn, further indicating how little he cared. He then placed his head back on (Y/n)'s shoulder, like it was normal. "For a spunky fellow, you're really loud" (Y/n) commented gaining Usopp's attention. "I was hoping you'd be more lively than this" Usopp muttered out while deadpanning at (Y/n).
"I'M FINISHED!!!" Luffy yelled out scaring the shit out of Usopp, who immediately bounced away. Luffy then showcased his... "Lovely" drawing of... Whatever he drew. "Look, our pirate mark! Now that Usopp joined, we got 5 people. That's almost a whole crew! I think it's about time we got our own flag!" Luffy announced.
By this point Zoro had woken up, staring at the flag with an unreadable expression. "Luffy, is that really going to be our mark?" Zoro asked hesitantly, instantly regretting being around Luffy. "What even is that? It looks like a jelly bean" (Y/n) commented bluntly, instantly gaining Luffy's attention.
"It is not! It's our mark, not a jelly bean!!" Luffy exclaimed, a bit offended by her remark. "No, it definitely looks like a jelly bean..." Nami commended, agreeing with (Y/n) wholeheartedly. "Actually, I can kinda see it" Zoro muttered out, squinting at the drawing to see what the females are seeing.
"You guys really should've told me about this, maybe you didn't know this about me, but I am an artist" Usopp informed the crew. "Artist of what? Lying?" (Y/n) asked, once again, very bluntly, earning a snort from the swordsman. "Hey! That's so not true! I'm a great artist, but not of lying!" Usopp exclaimed, now offended by her remark.
"I'll say, you're lying sucks!" Zoro commented while trying to hold in a chuckle, earning a very dramatic, offended gasp from Usopp. "I'll show you! You won't be laughing when I show you my awesome drawing skills!" Usopp exclaimed, now eager to draw their flag.
"Behold! A priceless work of pirate art! Ta-da!" Usopp exclaimed as he showed off his... Art. "Why does it have a long nose?... I don't think skeletons look like that" (Y/n) critiqued, earning a frown from Usopp. "Shut up! It's beautiful, and you know it! Plus you can't even see it!" Usopp spat back.
"It looks a lot like you on that flag" Luffy commented with a frown. Luffy and Zoro then whacked Usopp's head, both scowling down at him. After some "convincing", Usopp finally drew a pretty decent flag, with the correct Captain symbol on it. "Huh... It's actually not bad" (Y/n) complimented while "looking" at the drawing.
"How can you even tell through that thing...?" Usopp muttered while staring up at (Y/n), due to squatting down to draw. "It's actually pretty good Usopp!" Nami complimented while peering down at the drawing. "Yeah, keep it! It's the one!" Luffy said happily.

"So, we finally settled on it? This is going to be our mark?" Zoro asked while peering at the drawing from the other side. "Sure is! Hey, Usopp, draw one on the sail too!" Luffy ordered while pointing at a sail, earning a "right!" from Usopp. In no time at all, their sail and flag have the drawing Usopp had created.
"Okay! It's all done!" Luffy announced while staring up at the mainsail, a bit excited that his daydreaming is soon becoming reality. Now all he needs is (Y/n), without her blindfold, to really bring that reality intuition. "Hey! (Y/n), get up here!" Luffy called out to her eagerly.
"What's up, Cap'?" (Y/n) asked playfully, as she practically bounced her way over to Luffy. Meanwhile, Usopp rested on the floor, looking defeated. Before Luffy could ask her to take off her blindfold, the sound of thunder interrupted him, forcing him to look over the railing.
"Oh look, a thunder cloud" (Y/n) pointed out blandly, taking notice of the cloud approaching them fast. "Are we going the right way?" Luffy asked innocently but slightly frowned at the cloud. "Hold on... That's the place!" Nami informed, indicating that they have arrived.
She then moved up to where Luffy and (Y/n) were, taking out a pair of binoculars to look at the island. "Yep, there's no doubt about it," Nami said, not giving a lot of details on what she discovered. "Hey, what do you see out there? Is it something cool?" Luffy asked curiously.
Now Zoro and Usopp had joined the trio, now peering either at Nami or the cloud in confusion. "The legendary treasure island" Nami informed, now only getting confused looks from (Y/n). "You mean "the" treasure island? Even I heard of that place" Usopp informed, leaving only (Y/n) and possibly Luffy clueless.
"Yeah, I'm not surprised, this place is famous the world over, and so are the crazy stories about it," Nami said with a serious look. "Sounds enticing..." (Y/n) muttered out with a grin, slightly excited and curious to see what the island has to offer. "What crazy stories?" Luffy asked curiously, showcasing that he never heard of the island before.
"Legend has it that whoever is dumb enough to sail close to the island, ensures the god's wrath!" Nami informed with a smirk. "AHHHHH!" Usopp yelled as lightning stuck near the boat, as they made their way through the storm cloud. (Y/n) had made her way on top of the lookout post, watching how the crewmembers scrambled about.
"Let's go! To treasure island!!" Luffy ordered as he sat on top of the ram's head, with zero sense of danger. Nami had joined (Y/n) on the lookout post, now watching Usopp and Zoro do the grunt work of keeping the boat from tipping over. Somehow, they had made it safely to the island unharmed, parking their boat as close as they can to the island.
They made their way through the island in their search for the treasure. Usopp, being the coward that he is, hid behind Zoro, who refused to allow Usopp to use (Y/n) as a shield. "EEEEE!!!" Usopp screeched out as he witnessed a plant make strange sounds at him.
"Hey, this place is creepy," Usopp said as he held onto Zoro's arm, not wanting to lose the group. "I know right? Isn't that cool?" (Y/n) said excitedly, earning a wide-eyed look from Usopp. "Are you crazy?! This is not cool at all!! Do you have no sense of danger??" Usopp cried out.

"It said, that somewhere on this island rests an imaginable fortune, just waiting to be found. Supposedly, many pirates had landed here in the past. But, they all fled in absolute terror, before they ever got a chance to look for it" Nami explained, ignoring Usopp's comments.
"Absolute terror?" Luffy asked curiously, while (Y/n) listened in, now curious about the folklore of the island. "I'd be afraid too, they say one pirate's face suddenly turned into a boar's face. Another pirate's mustache stretched out, like a couple of snakes, and strangled him" Nami informed in a serious tone.
"But... That's not true... Right?" Usopp asked with a look of dread, while the others looked unbothered. "Well, I'm sure that some of those stories are a bit of an exaggeration," Nami said with a shrug. At this point, the group had stopped moving to listen to Nami's story.
"Don't talk anymore, you're scaring me!" Usopp pleaded, oblivious to the glowing red eyes peering down at him from above. Soon, more red eyes started to appear through the thick forest, something that no one took notice of. "I'm tired... Naptime" Zoro said with a yawn, taking his place on the ground, and instantly started snoring.
"How could he possibly sleep in such a creepy place?" Usopp asked with a sweatdrop rolling down his cheek. "He's either dumb or he's got nerves of steel" Nami commented, also sweatdropping at Zoro. "Hey, (Y/n), look at this weird animal," Luffy said while pointing to the rabbit while looking up at (Y/n).
"Huh... It looks more like a snake to me" (Y/n) commented while staring down at the rabbit-snake hybrid. The animal then made a strange sound... Almost like a pathetic roar to scare them. Neither of the two was frightened of it, more so just confused and curious about the animal.
"AHHHHH!" Usopp screamed loudly, which alarmed Nami instantly. "What, what's happening? Are we in danger?!" Nami asked worriedly, only to spot Usopp in a weird pose. "Huh? What? No, I was just making up a little dance to liven things up" Usopp lied flawlessly, then he started... Dancing? Sort of? Only to stop shortly.
"Hey, come on, stop that Luffy," Usopp said, only to spot a weird wolf-roster hybrid licking his hand. Then, a weird koala-bat hybrid hung down from behind Nami, instantly gaining her attention. "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Nami and Usopp screamed a bit too dramatically. Causing them both to fall from fright, which unfortunately had Usopp ending up under Nami as she sat on him.
The animals casually flew/walked away from them both, not bothered by their screaming. That's when they finally took notice of all the red eyes glaring at them. "What's going on?!" Nami asked worriedly, while Usopp shook in his spot, instantly regretting ever going on the island in the first place.
"Leeeeave nooow!" Some random voice spoke out ominously through the trees. "WHO'S THERE?!" Luffy called out without hesitance, only to be ignored. "Leave now!" The voice said a bit more demandingly, which none of the pirates followed. "Hey, where's that voice coming from?" Nami asked worriedly, now looking around for the voice.
"I am the vengeful island god! Leave at once if you value your lives!!" The voice exclaimed. "Island god?" (Y/n) asked with a wide grin, despite their dire situation. "Wait, you guys are pirates, right?" The "island god" asked. "Shouldn't you know that, oh noble god?" (Y/n) asked a bit sassily.
"Gh-ah, of course, I do! I was just testing you, stupid human!" The "island god" said a bit nervously. "Now, if you take one more step into the forest, the instant you do it's instantly received by divine punishment! And meet your doom, which is my punishment!" The "island god", which all in all didn't make sense.
"Ha?" (Y/n) asked with a blank face, looking like she just heard something stupid. "Okay... That made no sense at all" Luffy pointed out the obvious, looking confused. "He's worse than that kid that ate a finger..." (Y/n) muttered out, earning a disgusted look from Nami. "Why would a kid eat that?" Nami asked, getting slightly off track on their current situation.
"Maybe it was tasty" Luffy commented, wanting to join their conversation, earning a deadpan look from both females. "Wha- What are you guys even talking about? You know you're facing death right now!" The "island god" spat out, trying to sound threatening.
That's until the animals started approaching them, all mixed with different species. "What are these things?" Usopp asked, his voice trembling a little. "They used to be humans! They came looking for treasure, but all they found was my wrath!" The "island god" answered.
"Gah?! You transformed them?! Then you are a god!" Usopp said as he got on one knee, looking like he was praying. "Hey, (Y/n), look at all these weird things, look at this one, I think it's supposed to be a pig," Luffy said as he picked up a pig. "It looks more pig than whatever else it is" (Y/n) pointed out while messing with its mane.
The pig then tried bitting off Luffy's face, only for it to stretch, then snapped back after he forced the pig off of himself. "You stretchy freak of nature! What are you?!" The "island god" asked in confusion, indicating he had watched what had happened.
"One time I ate a devil fruit, so now I'm a rubber person" Luffy answered without hesitation while showcasing his ability by stretching his mouth. "Yeah right, a devil fruit? I heard those same stupid stories back when I was a pirate" the "island god" informed, accidentally letting them know he's not a god.
"I don't think Island Gods can be pirates" (Y/n) pointed out casually, almost sounding like she's teasing him. "Huh?! Who said anything about pirates?! Enough of that kind of talk!" The "island god" demanded. "Man... Your lying is worse than Pinocchio over here" (Y/n) said as she pointed to Usopp.
"Shut up!! If you won't leave, then prepare my divine judgment!!" The "island god yelled out. Instantly a bunch of spears was thrown at them from multiple places. This caused Nami, Luffy, and Usopp to try and avoid them, while somehow Zoro was completely unharmed. Of course, (Y/n) is completely alright, as she has her "barrier" up.
Then, a bunch of rocks fell towards them, hitting Luffy in the head. It didn't hurt Luffy at all, due to his rubber-like body. "You're really pushing your luck, god," Luffy said happily, unconcerned that he was about to die. "How are you not dead?!" The "island god" screeched from behind Luffy.
"Huh, I think that bush talked" (Y/n) said while pointing at the "bush" that seemed to be sweating. "Don't move!" The "island god" threatened as he pointed a gun at (Y/n). He then shot the gun at her, which only stopped inches away from her chest. Both Nami and Usopp screamed as they covered their heads, hoping to avoid any more gunshots.
"Wha- How did you stop that?! No way!!" The "bush", having been downgraded from "island god", exclaimed in horror as they watched the bullet drop to the ground. "Hey, Island God, even mortals know you can't hurt (Y/n) is on guard" Nami exclaimed mockingly. "Maybe not, but you shouldn't be firing them at her in the first place," Luffy said with a deep frown on his face.
"You're both some kind of monster!!" The "bush" exclaimed, now sounding nervous. He then there his gun on the floor as he tried to run for it. "Over there!" Usopp said as he pointed towards a direction, which Luffy instantly ran towards with a determined look.
"Hey, look, found his gun," Nami said as she picked up the gun, which (Y/n) and Usopp glanced at. They then made their way towards Luffy, leaving behind the gun. They stopped to peer down at the "bush" taking notice that it sat on top of a chest. "What a weird-looking bush..." (Y/n) commented, knowing full well it's not a bush.
"No, I think it's the... Uh... Island god" Usopp said a bit unsure, which got the "bush" sweating nervously. The chest then "grew" feet as he tried running away. "It's moving" Nami pointed out the obvious, sadly for the chest, it didn't get far as it ran into a tree.
"PFTH! Hahaha! What a funny bush!" (Y/n) started laughing, not able to keep in how hilarious the outcome was. The group of four made their way to the chest, which had no way of turning back over onto its feet. The sun had peered out of the clouds, showcasing a face in the bush, which would be his hair.
"Stand me up! Stand me up already!!" The male demanded, only to be ignored by the group. "That's one ugly-looking bush..." (Y/n) said while covering her mouth with her hand. This earned her a chuckle from Nami, who is no longer frightened by the pathetic "island god".
"Awesome! He's like a talking scrub brush!" Luffy said, not realizing how rude his words were. "That's it? You're not even a minor deity. You're more like a box" Usopp insulted while peering down at the male. "Come on! Stand me up now!" The male pleaded to them.
"Relax," Usopp said as he and Luffy did as the male pleaded, now knowing the male can't do anything to harm them. "Uh... I'll let you off with a warning this time!" The male said as he tried to make a run for it again, only to be stopped by a hand. "Alright, I think that's enough fun for the day" (Y/n) said as she easily picked up the box with one hand. This left the male swinging his feet in the air like he was still running.
After a while, (Y/n) eventually placed the male down, having settled that he won't run off again. A few animals surrounded him, licking his face occasionally. "You're a pretty popular guy, Mr. Island God" Nami teased as she sat on the floor. "So, let me get this straight, these crazy animals help you scare off the pirates that come to this place looking for treasure?" Usopp asked curiously.
"I've never seen a person stuffed inside a treasure chest before, you're a real-life jack in the box," Luffy said innocently. "Yes, ironically I am in fact in a box, and my name is-- YOU IDIOT!! I'M A PERSON NOT A TOY!" The male exclaimed realizing Luffy's insult a bit too late.
"I don't know... It was very entertaining earlier" (Y/n) mumbled out with a slight smirk. "Shut up!... I've been stranded on this island and stuck in this contentable box for 20 years!" The pirate explained. 'I didn't really ask though...' (Y/n) thought, but decided to not voice out her thoughts.
"That long?!" Nami asked in disbelief, feeling a bit sorry for the poor male. Meanwhile, Usopp uncapped a thermos, pouring himself some warm liquid. It was either tea or coffee, maybe even hot chocolate, but either way, he decided to drink it. The group looked at Usopp a bit confused, watching as he sighed out in contentment after taking a sip.
"So, you've been all alone on this island for 20 years? Amazing" Usopp commented while taking his eyes off his cup. "Yeah, just take a look at me, I got a beard like a wild man, and in all that time you're the first people I had a real conversation with. Can you understand how painful that is?" The male asked in a sad tone.
"I do..." (Y/n) mumbled out with a slight frown, reminiscing how she practically lost everyone before arriving here. "That's ridiculous," Luffy said without hesitation, not feeling sorry at all for the male. "What did you say?!" The male exclaimed in anger. Before he could argue with Luffy, Zoro had finally woken up and made his way to the group.
"Morning, sleeping beauty, good rest?" (Y/n) asked while peering up at the swordsman. "No way, all that yelling woke me up. Then I had to go searching for you guys and almost got lost," Zoro said with a slight yawn, looking like he recently woke up. He then took Usopps cup of... Whatever it is, and took a seat next to (Y/n), shamelessly slinging an arm over her shoulder.
He then took a sip from the drink, looking a bit more awake, must've been coffee. "Gah?!" Zoro exclaimed as he finally took notice of the new person, that's unfortunately in a box. He would've fallen off his seat if it wasn't for (Y/n) holding onto him.
"What the heck is that?!" Zoro exclaimed as he looked at the male in confusion. "That my friend is a bush" (Y/n) informed with a bright smile, earning a deadpan look from Zoro, Nami, and Usopp. "He's like a jack in a box, but real" Zoro muttered, unaware that Luffy made that comment earlier.
"Yes, ironically, I am in fact in a box, and my name is-- YOU IDIOT! WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH ALL THAT!!" The male exclaimed, only to stop short as two hands gripped the underside of his top teeth. "Zoro, (Y/n), give me a hand!" Luffy said as he tried pulling the male upwards.
"WAH!!" The male exclaimed, not finding joy in being stretched from his mouth upwards. Zoro did as told as he started tugging on the male's hair. (Y/n) shrugged as she decided to help out, placing a hand on the box, keeping it from lifting upwards with the male.

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.

Changement : Version Face [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got heads.
