《Desolate (Klaus Mikaelson)》On a leash

"Don't mind me," Klaus says, walking up towards Damon and Elena as I follow, unwillingly might I add, behind. Before you ask, I am the animal tamer... I'm going to keep Klaus on a lead all day and make sure that he doesn't kill any of my friends... Relationship goals, am I right.
"Klaus" Elena frowns but then smiles in understanding at me. You must be wondering, is it difficult to date the man who has a fetish for killing your friends. The answer is yes, yes it is.
"You gonna do this in the Grill? In front of everyone? It's a little beneath you, don't you think?" Damon grunts. Dam, I feel sorry for Damon, his life is almost as crap as mine, but, currently, we can relate over the evil brother's matter.
"I don't know what you are talking about. I just came down to my local pub to grab a drink with a mate and a literal mate." I groan as he drags me to a bar stool.
"Get around in, would you Tony?" Klaus says to his hybrid as I examine all of the day drinkers in disgust.
Klaus smiles, seeing that Elena is shocked.
" I'm surprised you stuck around town long enough for happy hour. "Damon grunts in annoyance, but then stares at me curiously, giving me the look to say that we are having words later.
"My sister seems to be missing. Need to sort that out." He sighs, and then he turns to me smirking, "And, I can't take Evie until she has finished her education." I groan in annoyance.
"Cute blonde bombshell, psycho. Shouldn't be too hard to find." I laugh, sending Damon a wink whilst Klaus's back is turned.
"Truth is I've grown to rather like your little town." He pauses." Think I might fancy a home here. Oh, I imagine you're wondering how does this is affecting you. The answer is: not in the slightest. As long as I get what I want and everyone behaves themselves you can go on living your little lives however you choose. You have my word. In the meanwhile I am literally sharing a bed with Evie" he smirks trying to get under his skin.

"What more could you possibly want?" Elena asks clueless. Klaus sucks in a deep breath.
" Well for starters, you can tell me where I might find Stefan," Klaus says, holding a single finger up while I spin around on my bar stool.
" Stefan skipped town the second he saved your ass," Damon says, clearly disappointed by his brother.
"Well you see that is a shame," Klaus says, faking a sad look. Without removing his eyes from Damon, Klaus throws a dart and gets a bulls-eye.
"Your brother stole from me. I need him found so I can take back what's mine." Klaus says, holding me by my shoulders to stop me from spinning around.
"That sounds like a Klaus and Stefan problem," Elena says, hoping that Klaus will just leave.
Klaus moves towards Elena but Damon steps in between them. Klaus smirks.
"Well this is me broadening the scope, sweetheart. "

I walk inside of the boarding house, coming to realise that Klaus actually has a lead on me, as I follow behind Klaus. When I started to get bored of Klaus sitting, I tried to go home, but he is really serious about his Evie protecting, pssh, I can easily take care of myself... No, I did not just walk into the door...
"I think it's about time we had a drink, don't you?"Klaus says, noticing Damon's presence.
" I'd say we're overdue"Damon sighs, standing up to get some glasses.
"Well, you've been so busy with all your plotting and scheming" Klaus smirks as I make myself comfortable in Damon's favourite spot.
"You know me. Never miss a chance to plan an epic failure" Damon sighs, glaring at me as he sees my position.
"I think your best failure yet is the tomb plan... That one was horrible." I say, hyper.
" Don't be so hard on yourself. Who could have guessed your own brother would betray you?" Klaus says, shaking his head while smiling at my playfulness.
"Well, I did have a front-row seat when your sister lied to you" Damon smirks.
"You also had a front-row seat into her p-"

"OK, Klaus doesn't need to know that twinnie." Damon quickly interrupts, Klaus smirks even wider.
" Yeah, well she's fickle that one. And you say you have no idea of her whereabouts?" Klaus says, trying to tone down his smirk.
"That's the thing with younger siblings. You just never know what they're gonna do." Damon sighs."Drink?"

They both raise their glasses to their mouths, Klaus with vampire speed, taking mine out of my hands as well, as I glare at him horrified, no one messes with my alcohol.
"You know, we've actually got a lot in common, you and I," Klaus says to Damon, raising MY glass to his lips.
"Really? Well, yeah. Maybe we can bond over our mutual loathing of my brother and a constant desire for Evie's lips to supernaturally sew themselves together. Why are you so mad at him? He stole something?"Damon says as I huff.
"My family, the Originals. I had them daggered, boxed-up awaiting the day when I saw fit to wake them. And he went in and pinched the bloody lot." Klaus says in a bitter tone.
"Of course he did. Such a buzzkill, my baby bro. Well, I'd love to find him. Just the trouble is, I sure as hell don't work for you" Damon says to Klaus, propping his feet up on my lap, I just sigh, knowing that there is no winning with Damon.
"You know, your drink stinks of vervain- so I can't compel you." Klaus pauses, pretending to think about his words." There be no point in killing you because your'e actually the one with the most help of getting me what I need. And yet it would seem a demonstration is in order. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough when I told you to find Stefan. Well, it seems you people respond best to displays of violence. Why don't you take this as an example of my reach"
He takes out his phone and calls someone.
"There he is!"Klaus says excitedly. "So, that thing I told you to do...why don't you go ahead and get on with it?" What did I miss?

"Compel the men to open up this wall. We need sun. I want a fortress, not a dungeon." Klaus says, snapping his mansion demands while I stand next to him, sipping on my Starbucks.
"Here he is the man of the hour!" Klaus says joyfully as Tyler kisses my cheek, I stare at them both confused.
"So everything went okay?" Tyler asks, worriedly.
"Tony ran down Alaric instead of Jeremy, but apples, oranges, message lands the same." I grow annoyed.
"What?!"I say/ yell. Klaus ignores me.
" You said you are sending them a warning." Tyler says, staring at Klaus admiringly.
" And I did. An effective one! Elena's family suffers, she is motivated to get me what I want."He shrugs, stealing a sip from my coffee. What is his problem with taking all of my drinks?
"I didn't think that we actually have to kill anyone," Ty says, his expression deflating slightly.
" Tyler, mate. What you are feeling is the remnant of a guilty conscience. I need you to get over it, okay? End of the day human life is just a means to an end. Our means to our end. You do well to remember that?"I groan in annoyance, really missing my hippy.

I stand next to Klaus outside of the boarding house, again, as I slide my hand into his, bored until Elena opens the door.
"Thank you for coming," Elena says formally, winking at me and whispering quietly, even though Klaus can hear, "Hey little E, it's good to see you"I wink back, stepping inside.
"I trust you have news of Stefan?" Klaus asks, entwining our fingers.
"I couldn't find him. But I have something else"
We follow Elena through the boarding house, she walks around it as if she owns it, stopping outside of the door to the cellar.
"You have Rebekah. A deal is a deal." I groan upon noticing that it is Rebekah, the bitchy Mikaelson's body rather than Elijah's, the kind friendly one.
Klaus undaggers Rebekah.
