《》Chapter Fourteen

It was slightly scary how well the three of us worked together when we put effort into working as a team. This had been easier then I thought considering all three of us were aware of the second test and weren't fooled for a minute by the bell test.
Though when both Kakashi and Shisui had turned to me for a plan it had been a bit nerve wracking considering how smart both were. To then have them depend on me to come up with a plan, well, it had been a bit much.
But in the end with ten minutes to spare we had both bells making Minato-sensei give us a large proud smile. It made something inside me feel warm and giddy.
I felt proud of myself and that of my new team.
"Well done," praised Minato-sensei while we worked to get our breathing under control even as we paid attention to him. "I hadn't believed you would catch on so fast about this being about teamwork considering the way Kakashi was acting toward Shisui."
This caused Kakashi to wince making me bite back an amused snort while checking over both Ōkami and Tenshi who had played a large role in helping us distract Minato-sensei.
Minato-sensei wasn't wrong in what he said considering how territorial Kakashi was acting but I had hope that he would eventually open up to Shisui. He would have to considering we were now a team that depended on one another.
Sakumo had also raised him on the belief of how important teams were.
"Now that we're Team Seven there are a few things we should talk about," added Shisui causing Minato-sensei to laugh lightly before sitting down in front of us. "What's our team registered under specializing in?"
That was a really good first question to ask.

Because depending on what your team gets specialized under it would have an effect on what missions you took in the future along with how you were trained. This would then have an effect on what type of Chunin and Jonin you would become in the future.
"Tracking and Infiltration," answered Minato-sensei surprising me considering Kakashi-sensei had once told me about how his team had been First Response like the Sannin team. "I hand picked each of you to fit this specialization with the hope of it becoming a solid Jōnin team in the future."
Meaning he wanted us to be another type of Sannin team.
"While Kakashi and Asahi both want to become Jōnin," began Shisui with some hesitation as he looked between us and Minato-sensei. "I want to become an ANBU Captain in the future."
"We'll also likely end up in ANBU," mused Kakashi making Shisui snap his head toward him with a owl like expression. "So it's still plausible even if they would also pull our team for assassination."
Being good enough in tracking to specialize in it was a given that we would be pulled in for assassination missions. It was also why a good few of the Inuzuka members ended up as Hunter Nin because of how well we could track.
I was the first to not try for it. Kiba had wanted to also be a Hunter Nin like our sister considering our mother had stuck to being a Jōnin alone.
"That's further into the future," cut in Minato-sensei making us all turn back to facing him and it wasn't as surprising to see the solemn look he was wearing. "Things are getting tense between the other Shinobi Nations, meaning war could be on the horizon."
Which it already was.

But we wouldn't fully go to war until Kakashi had made Jōnin and gained his first Genin team with Obito and Rin, or now until we all made Jōnin giving us at most three years to train without threat.
If it didn't break out early considering some of the differences here compared to my own original timeline. But I had hope that wouldn't be the case.
"So," I began before Kakashi could start another heated argument over that discussion as he had with his father who had begun to be pulled for missions again. "What will we be focusing on? Do you have a certain game plan for our team?"
"There will be a lot of focus on upping your stamina and awareness," answered Minato-sensei with a firm nod. "Though with how things are there will be times I will be pulled from the team to do a mission, if that is the case Kushina has offered to work with you in my place."
"Great," grumbled Kakashi with a huff as my own cheeks burned red. "We would have to work under the crazy Uzumaki."
"Now," cut in once again Minato-sensei with a stern look sent toward Kakashi making him fall silent with a slight pout only I noticed he was wearing under his mask. "Is there any areas you want to work on specifically?"
"Fuinjutsu," I answered easily knowing I had made it pretty far back into the subject but with Minato-sensei and hopefully Kushina I could push it even further. "Though I also would like to look into trying my hand at finding a Summoning Contract that fits me by how the Sannin had done so."
It having been well known that the Sannin had reversed summoned themselves to the Summoning World that best fit them. Kakashi already had his Dog Summoning Contract, and when asked about it Shisui had admitted to being given the Crows.
Meaning I was the only one on this team without a Summons.
"You actually have a larger reserve then is normal for a Genin," mused Minato-sensei as he focused solely onto me for a second. "Once we have gotten a bit more training and D-ranks under your belt, then you can try your hand for a Summons."
"Kenjutsu," added Kakashi bringing back to the question at hand. "My father has already started my teaching into the subject, the same with Asahi."
"I want to take the shunshining ability to a whole new level," finished Shisui with a shrug even as a grin appeared on his face. "Something tells me I could make it into something really amazing with time."
"Then we'll set aside two hours for personal training," agreed Minato-sensei with a nod before getting back up to his feet. "For now we'll take two D-ranks then return here, which is our training grounds, and do some teamwork training."
While it sounded simple and easy. Something told me Minato-sensei would run us into the ground and make sure we learn everything he wished to teach us.
It was always the quiet ones you had to watch out for.
"Let's go then," sighed Shisui shoulder slumping. "I already know D-ranks are just glorified chores from a few of my cousins."
"At least it puts money into our pockets," I added with a light laugh. "Though it won't be much but it will add up over time."
