I paced up and down the hall while mumbling random things to myself. "Fucking asshole. He met (Y/n)?! How dare he. That bitch, I'll chop off his-" I stopped when I realized Freddy was standing at the end of the hall.
"Richie...? Why are you swearing so much?" Freddy slowly walked towards me.
"Well, I just- im super pissed at Joshua." Freddy tensed at the mention of his name. "I heard he talked with (Y/n), and i-"
"Richie... Come on, dont be like Jason, or Trevor." I felt a spark of anger at Freddy's diss. "If you get too possessive over her she'll retaliate. You don't want her dreading your presence, do you?" I shook my head no and covered my face while leaning on the wall. "Maybe we can go and talk to him. Who knows, maybe you two will make up!"
"Ok... I guess." I stood up and looked over at him. He smiled and pulled me towards the stairway. We stepped out of the house and made our way towards Jason's house. It seemed quiet, and looked as if no one was home. Freddy continued to pull me towards the house without care. We arrived and he rang to the door bell. My whole body couldn't decide whether to fill with rage, or run away in panic. 'Oh god, I have to face both of them. I hate the both of em how am I supposed to even look Josh in the eye without-' the door opened and Freddy jumped away. I panicked as the door opened. It was Josh.
"..." His face looked stunned. "Richie...?" He spoke slow, and cautiously. I could see guilt started to reveal itself on his face. "What are you... doing here?"
"Well Freddy took my here, but he ran away before you opened the door." I rubbed the back of my neck in order to show how awkward everything was seeming. He chuckled lightly and sighed.

"Look, I need to talk to you, that day... in the factory." I was shocked at how he knew that was the reason I visited. "It was Jason who instigated the fight. To this day... I really dont understand why he did it." I was angered by the mention of that scums name.
"Of course it was his idea.... Is he home?" I asked quickly. Josh nodded his head and asked why. "(Y/n) asked me to talk to him for her." I lied, coming up with the idea right on the spot.
"(Y/n).... That cute girl he brought over the other week? What the hell does she have to do with my piece of trash brother?" I laughed at how open Josh was being.
"They're in the same class. She said that he had some notes that she let him borrow for English. She isn't in town at the moment so she asked if I could get them for her." I could tell that Josh was falling deeper and deeper into my lie.
"Oh! Well tell her I said hello. He's up in his room. First room on the right." Josh gave me a welcoming smile and moved out of the way in order to let me in. I nodded my head and thanked him as I made my way towards his room. I made it to his door and took in the signs: 'get out', 'keep out', '!danger!', 'genius at work'. I rolled my eyes at how cliche they were and nonchalantly opened the door. He was laying down on his bed and listening to his oversized headphones. His eyes were closed and his hands rested on his stomach. I slowly walked over and prepared myself to speak.
"Jason." I blurted out. He didnt hear me and kept his eyes closed. I fumed, and in the heat of my rage, I pushed him off of his bed causing him to open his eyes and catch a glance at me before hitting the floor. I huffed out and watched as he slowly rose from were he laid.

"The fuck are you doing in my house?" His tone showed that he clearly was annoyed by my presence, something that was actually new. Usually he would act sarcastically, or like a dick with me being around. Now seems on edge, quite angered to see me. I smirked while he stood up and took off his headphones.
"Why'd you do it?" The room became silent as he clearly was confused at my question. "Why did you make Josh fight me? You ruined out friendship, ya know?! How cruel are you, to- to ruin something. What the fuck possessed you to even think it?!" I was so mad at him that I hadn't even noticed that I was inching closer and closer to him. I got so close that I was holding onto his collar, forcing his face to be close to mine. He stared me straight in the eye, with a blank sort of look in his eye.
"I was just really bored." He flatly remarked as if I was an object, not even a person.
"WHAT?!"
"I wanted to see someone fight, and I got it." My eyes widened at his monotonous voice.
"YOU ASSHOLE!" as if I didnt have any control anymore. My head fell forward and slammed into Jason's. He fell to the ground with a loud thud. I got on my knees and started to punch him with everything I've got. He laid there trying to shield my attacks until he pushed me off. My head smashed into the bookshelf causing me to become dizzy. Jason crawled over and picked me up by the collar.
"Whatcha gonna do now, gay boy?" I felt my boil boiling beneath my skin.
"IM NOT GAY YOU FUCKING IDIOT." I screamed as I raised my fist and brought it to his face. He dropped me, allowing for me to catch my balance. He stumbled for a moment then steadied himself. "How many times... Do I have to tell you? I am not gay, I AM BI!"
"Thats practically the same thing. You like guys-"
"AND GIRLS. WHY ELSE DO YOU THINK I HELPED GET (Y/N)?! I LIKE HER." I could see his jealousy strike across his face. "Did you think I was in love with Trevor or something?"
"Yes. Maybe you should just stick with liking him. It would spare you the pain that I could inflict." Jason stood up and cracked his knuckles.
"Worse than the pain I get when I see your face?" Jason chuckled and threw himself at me.
"You know... You really are a nuisance." He started to strangle me with his hands. I gasped for air, desperately trying not to panic. "STOP BREATHING!" Jason growled. My vision began to fade along with my hearing. The last thing I heard was Josh.

Impossible Devices
Twenty years after the start of the new millenium, the world was largely at peace. Crime was at an all-time low in most nations. No large scale conflicts between countries currently existed, and the people of Earth had even begun to see hope for the future. In the year 2020, all of that changed. The first occurrences of the interdimensional reality altering zones occurred. Named 'Dungeons' these supernatural and alien existences unleashed monsters and mayhem upon the world. Only after considerable loss of life and adaptation to the new world order did people begin to rally back. The discovery of a strange artificact item in one of the dungeons allowed humanity to develop powers far beyond their wildest imagination. This device worked on principles considered to be impossible. It was not the only one. Items of super-science and magic were discovered inside the dungeons of the world that could not possibly work according to the known laws of physics. Yet, they did. A special school was built to train young people so that they could specialize in dungeon exploration, in the defeat of monsters and the acquisition of the Impossible Devices.
