《The Ultimate Guide To Writing PJO Fanfics》5 General Tips

Here are 5 tips for writing your Percy Jackson fanfictions, and how to sound original!
Know inside jokes, like "Dam." and "Schist!", but keep them in moderation. If your stories sounds a like "Dam Schist! I want blue cookies!", then you should probably cut your amount of inside jokes. Don't get me wrong, inside jokes are funny, but not when they're overused. Now a million fanfics have Percy obsessed with Blue Cookies. Try not to use too many of these jokes.
Seriously, do something original. Write what you would read, not what's popular in the PJO fandom. Crossover Cliches are the worst. Take a PJO and Avengers crossover. Usually, all of the seven are dead, and Percy is depressed. Stay away from depressed Percy. There are so many of those stories out there, that you have to be an absolute legend at writing to get noticed. It's also a hard topic to write, because some people make it totally unrealistic. Percy would never even think about taking away his life. He has too much to live for. You think a few of his friends dying will stop that? NEWS FLASH, he's had friends dies before, and he wasn't plunged into a depression. People he held close died.
I can't stress this enough. NOBODY WANTS TO READ A BOOK THAT THEY'VE READ A MILLION TIMES BEFORE!! Switch things up, blend other ideas together. Still having trouble? Get a dice, (virtual or real). Now write a list of your favorite books/fanfictions, and label them one through six. The number it lands from is the book you take a loose idea from. Repeat until you have a fully fledged idea.
Now, this needs to be taken with a grain of salt, because the adventures of a tween/teen age boy fighting Greek monsters and holding the sky doesn't sound very realistic. But it does have realistic elements. Do your research, study a bit before you write. One of the easiest ways to start your book is to say something like, "Harry Potter got it all wrong.", and then go from their. I could be talking about how they use magic, or maybe a Hufflepuff who knows the real story. Either way, make sure it's realistic.

Needless to say, updating is something you should do quite often. (Sorry that I didn't update yesterday, I just had a long bike ride and inspiration wasn't exactly jumping out of me. Also, I'm going to write, thanks to a very good idea given to me by one of the loyal readers.) Updating makes people get attracted to your book like flies to honey. And make sure to catch 'em with a killer hook. You'll get discovered, so keep on updating!
This has been 5 Percy Jackson Writing Tips. Thanks for all of the support you guys show me, and I really should stop writing the same thing over and over.
Until next time!

Planet-Eater Reincarnation (in Star Wars)
He wakes up without being able to see, taste or hear. Or even smell! But, after developing an eye for himself, he's able to recognize two facts: one, he is no longer human, and two, he's not on Earth anymore. He's in the middle of an asteroid field, stuck on a moderately large one with nothing around him but endless space. Heck, he's not even in the solar system! And now it's up to him to grow larger and stronger in order to avoid being eaten. Going by the leviathan-sized creatures swimming about the asteroid field, he has a long way to go before he can so much as try to live calmly. ---- Don't let the fanfiction tag scare you off. This only barely takes place in that universe since I like the basics of the lore and nothing more. It will barely feature a single prominent character, and the focus will mostly just be on the main character trying to grow himself out of danger, in the meantime denying the very idea that he could possibly be lonely. The first few dozen chapters will entirely focus on him growing from almost a gnat all the way to a real asteroid-eater. After that, an actual story will appear. Got the idea when I was reading the 2017 Darth Vader comic and my mind suddenly flashed back to that scene in the original trilogy when they're in some asteroid field and almost get eaten by a big monster. I loved that scene, and my inhibitions will no longer chain me. Enjoy, but don't take this too seriously.
