《In The Eye of Her Storm // Klaus Mikaelson》Twenty-One

"Come out and face me Niklaus, or she dies." Those were the words i heard as i weaved in and out of tree's, my eyes lingering on the man centre stage who held one of the doppelgangers in his death grip.
"Go ahead, kill her." Klaus stood alone, even with my mark on his neck that was supposed to promise he never would again. Like a shot to the heart i felt awful, unworthy of such a bond.
"No Klaus, he'll do it." The doppelganger begged. I tried to decipher which it was, pausing to listen to the beat of her heart. Silent relief washed over me when i found her to be Katherine.
"If she dies this lot will be the last of your abominations." Mikael was not in the mood to play games as he glared to the original hybrid.
"I don't need them, i just need to be rid of you." Klaus assured after all this had been what he had made his army for hadn't it? Protection against the one who threatened him most.
"To what end Niklaus? So you can live forever with no one at your side? No one cares about you anymore boy! Who do you have other then those who's loyalty you have forced?" Silent amusement flickered in my being because i knew that statement wasn't true and never could be again.
Klaus had surely felt it as he straightened. Unaffected by Mikael's next words.
"No one."
"Go on i'm calling your bluff father, kill her." Those were not the words Mikael wanted to hear but they had been rather intriguing to me. I wondered if Klaus knew which doppelganger he was risking.
"Come out and face me you little coward and i wont have to." His agitation caused the laugh to rumble from my throat, a few hybrids turning to the woods with no hope of spotting me. Considering i stood engulfed in black smoke amongst the shadows.

"All my life you have underestimated me, if you kill her you lose your leverage, so go ahead, go on kill her, come on old man. Kill her. Kill her!" Klaus was empowered now, raging his hatred knowing he had the upper hand.
"Your impulse Niklaus, it has and always will be the one thing that's keep you from truly being great." Mikael sent his blade into the doppelgangers back who healed as quick as any vampire would, instead turning to throw a vervain grenade into the heap of hybrids and the original hunter.
"Boom." She laughed speeding away.
Encasing my self into the toxic fumes of the grenade i leapt forward aiming for Mikael, I caught sight of Damon for only a moment as he snatched the stake from the original, aiming back for Klaus.
Thankfully Stefan interrupted him.
"The wolf in the wings." Mikael spat as i unhitched the blades from their holsters smirking in amusement. Klaus was with us in the next moment, by my side with his own deadly weapon. The two of us able to take him down with ease.
There was no hesitation from Klaus on that matter, ending his father, delighted by his screams as fire lit upon his body. His and my own relief soon washed over me.
"What have you done Stefan." I turned back to see Damon fully for the first time in a long while.
"He's earned his freedom." I barely registered Klaus's words as he moved to Stefan, nodding to me on his way past. His promise, i recalled.
"Thank you my friend, you're free." A delightful thing after all the time he had spent a slave, i would have stayed for a moment longer had Damon not taken the opportunity to speed us away. My eyes caught sight of those familiar amber ones, i ended up looking away in shame.

The boarding house, the smell, the sight, all of it. I had missed it so vehemently. As soon as the wind stopped clashing against my skin i sucked in a breath, inhaling Damon's familiar scent. Our arms fought to deprive the other of oxygen as we embraced.
Each laughing despite the night.
"I've missed you around here Eris." Damon chuckled as i nodded in agreement.
"I expected as much." His eyes scanned me from head to toe in my dress, searching for what i assumed to be a single blemish on my skin. That was when his eyes landed on my neck, his fingers rose to skim the scar, sighing out as he did so.
"No going back from this." He muttered lowly, turning to pour us a drink each. A well needed one after the recent times.
"Especially since our one shot was ruined by my brother." He rose his glass in a sort of cheers.
"Here's to failure and disobedient family." I laughed along raising my own. A moment of silence followed as we took a sip of our liquor.
"So this is it then? We just accept the loss? Mikael lost the stake, Klaus is in town, your marked. Bonded for life. Not that Bon was getting anywhere-" I shushed him with another hug, placing my head on his chest and sighing out.
"And still, here we are. Back together." I felt his arms wrap around me again as he nodded.
"I wont let him take you again, i promise Eris." Oh i knew he meant it, even if he was the weaker one here. There were certain things i could always rely on in my life and Damon Salvatore's promises were one of them.
From the very first time we met where he thought i was a random woman trapped on a battle field, he had promised to get me out alive not knowing the power i held. He'd taken down many men that day and gotten me out of the way as he said he would. The next time he set onto the battlefield i had watched over him, protecting his back like he had done mine.
"Your not the first to make me a promise this week, lets see who's word is more reliable." I whispered.
"Want to watch a movie and catch me up on the latest drama in Mystic Falls?" I asked as Damon pulled away.
"Your room or mine?" I grasped his hand tugging him up the stairs.
"Huh that's funny, that's exactly what i said to the last man i slept with." He grimaced.
"60 years ago we made a rule. Never to speak of your sex life, my poor heart cant take it." Damon mewled as i scoffed.
"Oh yeah but you get to tell me how many girls you-"
"You have the stomach for it, I don't want to hear about how my little sister messed with some random guy-" We continued to bicker like that throughout the whole entirety of the movie.

Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. I will rewrite this at some point and make it so it actually has plot. Check out my wordpress © [koallary] and [Haven in a Dangerous World], [2017]. Dust and Glory
A century after World War III left the planet a nuclear wasteland, earth is nearly unrecognizable. Alien ‘Benefactors’ have taken control of North America’s most populous cities and built indomitable walls around them, defending their inhabitants but trapping them under a totalitarian rule. Outside these citadels, chaos reigns, led by the mutants of the wasteland; cultists, raiders, and canibal clans. Glory, a rogue android, is roaming the wastes after escaping her sadistic “father”. Alone and reeling from the effects of a previously sheltered life, her only ray of hope is Reza City, built upon the ruins of what used to be Phoenix, Arizona. True, the Benefactors have a strict ban on self-aware artificial intelligence in place, but that should only prove an issue if they realize she’s an AI. The real problem is what lurks outside the city: over a million square miles of harsh, unyielding desert. And slinking between the dunes and the fissures are the mutants, looking for an easy victim.

EDMUND X READER"Edmund, I... I like you" I confessed. Fiddling with my fingers. My eyes were looking at everything. Anything. Anything but him. I finally looked at him to find out why he was so quiet. The moment my eyes landed on his face, I was able to see his expression. He had the biggest smile and his cheeks were red. Like red red."Y/N," He said my name. That alone made me feel butterflies. He chuckled, "You really are clueless."Edmund stood up and took my hands. He stood me up gently. We were now standing in front of each other with the sunset behind us, hitting the right features. Our eyes were fixated on each other."This whole time," he said, "did you not even have one passing thought that I maybe have liked you too?"I blushed. Redder than cherries."I never got to think about it" I answered. "Why?""Because," he said as he cupped my chin gently, "I like you too."You, move into a new town in England and meet the four Pevensies.
