《The Abducted Princess & The Vengeful King》5

Here Nur Jahan was very restless, she was not a person who can just sit and wait. Seher was her precious child. She was an answer to her husband's prayers. Seher was very opposite to her, patience seeped into her veins. Nur Jahan saw Shazhain's hatred for her and her family in the past and she knew his motive was to hurt her through Seher. When she did not hear anything for a few hours, she took Ayat along to meet her Seher. Her heart was beating fast thinking about all the worst scenarios.
I will kill that Shazain if he dares to harm my daughter. I don't care whose son he is and what promise Fakhr made.
Nur Jahan was boiling in anger.
****************************************************************************
Here Fakhruddin was not happy with what his daughter did. He was in tears looking at his daughter. He never realized when she grew up and when she turned so mature.
"Seher, you shouldn't have gotten involved in this. Who told you about Shahzeb?"
"I know, Baba, you and Ummi do charity every year on the death anniversary of his father. Amma Jaan told me all about his father and what his relationship was with our family and how he sacrificed his life for you."
"Seher, I never thought you could be this foolish, he is marrying to just get revenge on us, by hurting you. You should have waited for us."
" I am sorry Baba, I let you down. He threatened to hurt himself and I don't know what took over me. I agreed. Baba, I couldn't see him get hurt." Seher was whimpering.
"Did he misbehave with you?"
Their moment of intimacy flashed before her. A shiver ran down her spine, but that was a secret between a husband and wife, Seher thought. She involuntarily accepted him as her husband and that was her reality.
"No Baba," Seher told me how he fed her. Fakhruddin was in deep thought.
"Seher, do you want to stay in this relationship or come out of it?"
"Baba, he will never leave me now, he made that clear to me."
"Seher, I don't like beating around the bush. You are my daughter. If it was someone else, I would have killed him for even touching my daughter. I am just letting him go because of my promise to his dying father. You are not obliged to listen to him. If you want a way out, then no one can stop me from getting your freedom, even if it is that hot-headed Sultan Shahzain.
There is no need to rush, take your time and make a decision. In the meantime, I will talk to him and know his intentions". Fakhruddin left his daughter alone.
Seher was left in deep thoughts. She was missing her mother now.
All the 5 young Uzbeks(Seher's brothers) were waiting impatiently for their father. Just then they saw Fakhruddin coming out after meeting Seher. Fakhruddin's eyes fell on Murad. Murad was just sulking in the corner. It was supposed to be his wedding today and if things were right, he would have been a happily married man with the love of his life. Fakhruddin saw his nephew and was feeling very sorry for him. He saw him grow in front of his eyes but there was little he could do for him. He was the one who was the biggest loser in this whole ordeal. Seher was not in his destiny, he recalled Hazrath Umar bin Khattab (RA)saying
He called Murad to come near him and gave him a tight hug. Tears poured down his eyes when his uncle hugged him.

"Son, you cannot fight your destiny. Stay strong for our sake."
"Uncle, is she OK? I hope he did not hurt her? I don't want anything, I just want her happiness."
"Murad, I gave her time to think, but we should not forget that she is married now. I can't force her. It will be her decision. I know you are strong and Allah will not test any human being beyond his limit." he tried consoling his dear Nephew.
Shahzain was looking at Murad in anger and jealously.
Only if my Baba was alive today would I have got the same affection. Just because of this stupid family, my baba lost his life. He recalled vague memories of his father. He was just 8 when he lost his dad. There were times when he was hurt and needed a father, but he learned to get up by himself. He was just 12 when his mother died. Shahzain recalled how helpless he was. Overnight, he grew up and took all the responsibilities.
Fakhruddin stopped his sons from meeting Seher. He wanted Seher to make her own decision, not under anyone's pressure. He walked toward Shazain, took him out of his thoughts, and requested to talk to him in private.
"Shahzain, what are your intentions?"
"About what Faher inlaw" he acted innocent.
"Sultan, let me clear you one thing. I don't care if you are my daughter's husband. If she wants a way out of this marriage, then no one can stop this from happening."
"She is my wife and I will never ever leave her. Looks like getting divorced and marrying a divorcee is common in your kingdom, but let me clear you, only my death can release my wife from me" He insulted Fakhr. Fakhr just clenched his fist in anger.
"Shahzain disrespecting women and giving divorce runs on your side. Let me clarify one thing. I gave my daughter time to think. I am just tolerating you because of the bond, trust me, if it was someone else, he would have been dead the moment he raised his eyes towards my daughter. I am trying to have an honest conversation with you. Don't provoke the beast in me."
"I had good intentions, that's why I sent the proposal in a decent way last year but you rejected it and incited me to take this step." Fakhruddin was observing the young man in front of him. He was just like his father except for the colour of his eyes.
Just then Nur Jahan arrived. "Fakhr how is Seher ?" her voice was full of fear.
Shahzain saw the woman standing in front of him worried about her daughter, fear was visible in her eyes and her voice was cracking. This is what he wanted to achieve. He wanted Nur Jahan to be restless like his father was once for her and she was enjoying with her new husband,
"Greetings mother in law" Shahzain tried to gain her attention.
"Seher is married to Sultan Shazain , Hayath", Nur Jahan's eyes went wide.
"Where is she? I don't accept this marriage", she said in a furious tone, looking at Shahzain.
Shazian saw the woman in a veil in front of her. Her eyes mirrored his wife's. They were both looking at each other.
" You accept it or not, she is my wife. No one can change the fact. Enough of this family drama, we have to get going". Shazain ignored Nur and walked toward Seher's tent.
Fakhruddin stopped him. " Shahzain, let her make a decision first."

" There is nothing to decide. Nobody can separate me and my wife"
All of the Uzbeks leapt towards Shahzain....
*****************************
Seher was thinking all about the events. She recalled Shazain's words which he said before letting her meet her baba.
" Seher, remember one thing, you are mine now. If your family tries to take you away, then there will be a huge war. It depends on you."
" What will you gain from this marriage? Nothing. You don't love me and I don't love you" Seher said to him.
Shazain fisted her hair in his hands, bending her neck. " you will just get pain and I will get satisfaction. Curse your mother for every pain you will receive because she gave the same to my father and my family.
"Your father standing out there alive is because of my father's sacrifice. Your mother fooled him so much that he gave away his life for her without thinking about me and my mom. I am not afraid of death. You have seen the demonstration earlier, but I will make sure that this war will be bigger and more horrifying in history. I won't hesitate to kill your family. My troops are all set and ready. You can only stop this."
Seher heard noises outside, there was a big brawl going out outside between Shazain and her brothers Salah and Shams, Seher quickly ran outside. She saw Shahzain's hand was bleeding from his previous wound. She quickly ran out there to stop them from fighting.
She held Shazain's wound tightly with a torn piece of her warp. She turned toward her brothers.
"He is my husband. Disrespecting him and hurting him is like hurting me" Seher, who never raised her voice in her house, was talking like giving a warning to her brothers. They were stunned. Just then her eyes saw Nur Jahan and Ayat. She quickly ran to her mother, giving her a big hug.
"Ummi ". She was crying in her mother's embrace.
"What is going on, Seher?"
"Ummi baba" She addressed both her parents." Ummi Sultan is my husband now and it doesn't matter in what circumstances we got married, but I want to keep this sacred bond."
Her words were music to Shazain's ears. He didn't know why his heart was at peace. Shahzain looked at Seher with unknown emotions and turned towards her brothers, giving them an evil smirk as if declaring his victory.
************************************************************************
Nur Jahan was seething listening to her daughter's words. " Seher, you are too young to make any decisions". She raised her hand but Fakhruddin stopped her.
"Shazain, now my daughter has made her decision, can our family talk in private with her?"
"I don't have any problem with it. She can bid her final goodbyes as well, because we have to start our journey as soon as possible. I am away from my kingdom for too long". He was showing his attitude now.
Once alone, everyone showed their disappointment towards Seher except her Baba FaKhruddin.
"Fakhr, she is just a child. She doesn't know anything. How can you be so calm? Give her a tight slap and let's take her home. I personally will deal with that arrogant rouge outside."
"Baba Ummi is right" Salahuddin said.
"No, Ummi, I am old enough to know that divorce is one of the most disliked things of our Lord, I want to give this marriage a chance and won't give up".
Nur Jahan turned and gave a tight slap to Seher." Your first mistake was accepting him in marriage and now how dare you to raise your voice? Did you forget about your aunty, grandparents, and this boy Murad, who was your Fiancee?"
"Stop his Hayath, you are being too harsh. You don't know anything. Shahzain at least married her. What if he..." he hugged Seher and then turned towards his other children. " Salahuddin, take Ayat and your brothers outside". The children obediently left the room.
" Hayath? He gave her his name and what if he just violated our daughter "? Fakhruddin explained to Nur Jahan everything.
"Seher, you don't know what you got yourself into. The life in his kingdom in Shamahal is completely different from ours. His grandmother, Najma Begum, was a tyrant. She will make your life a living hell. That Shazain hates us from his core. He insulted your Baba many times. He will take out all his anger and hatred on you". Nur was feeling guilty. She raised her hand. It was the first time ever that she hit her. She hugged her and started crying, kissing her daughter's cheeks.
"Ummi, he is my husband now. He was written in my fate. I will try my best and if I can't bear it I will come back and agree to whatever you say". Seher was still in her mother's embrace.
"Fakhr, how can you agree with this nonsense? You can't live without seeing her for a day. How will you bear it when she goes away? I am not accepting this nonsense, even if things were good with Shazain I would never have agreed on marrying Seher far away". Nur Jahan was shattered completely.
" My love, I know, but you only said we can't fight destiny. Let her give this marriage a chance". Fakhr tried consoling her.
"You, Father, and daughter don't know anything. You know a wife can live happily in a small house with inadequate food if her husband loves her, but even if provided with luxury, the big place will just be a golden cage without love." she knew that Fakhr and Seher were similar once they made a decision. Then it was useless to argue with them.
" OK, I won't force anything, Seher, but remember one thing. Your family is always there, just a message that you will be back. Don't forget all my words. Treat your husband with respect but never lower your pride, and when it comes to self-respect, choose yourself. The husband is above everyone but not above God and his commands. I will leave you in the hands of God. May he make it easy for you and hope Shahzain will love you." She kissed her daughter.
They called all the siblings inside to meet Seher. Nur Jahan wanted Seher to come back so that they could send her off in a proper way. Fakruddin requested Shahzain. He was reluctant at the beginning, but to their surprise agreed that he would just come for a day and the next day they will go back.
**********************************************************************************
Shahzain was taking it as his victory. He was aware that his wife's siblings were not happy with this alliance, especially Shamsuddin and Salahuddin. He deliberately accepted the invitation so that he could see the sulking faces of those mountain brats when they greeted him with respect because of the relationship. He had the upper hand over them now.
As soon as they reached the kingdom of mountains, everyone was shocked to hear about Princess Seher's marriage.
Murad reached home and packed his back to leave. Shireen was very sad for her only son.
"Murad, where are you going? Seher is not the only girl I will find you a more beautiful girl than her. "
"Ummi, whoever you find, she won't be Seher " he cried, hugging his mother. Both Hafeez and Shireen knew about the events. They knew Fakhr and Nur were helpless. It was not anyone's fault except Shahzain's. Fate had played a cruel game on their son.
"Ummi, please let me go. I wanted to go to the west and learn their medical techniques. Please don't stop me. I won't be able to bear anything further. I cant see her going away with someone else. Please have mercy on me". Shireen was in tears looking at her son's condition. She was the witness to her son's unconditional love towards her niece.
"I won't stop you, my son, but I can't let you go alone. Take your sister with you and I will be reassured that you will be back. Please don't say no"She requested her son.
Murad wanted to go away as soon as possible. He decided that if not Seher he would never marry and spend the rest of his life serving people. He wanted to look at her for one last time to his heart's content.
He went to Fakhr's house to bid a final goodbye before leaving. All his cousins loved him and they were in tears. How much they all wanted him to be their brother-in-law. Salahuddin hugged him and cried."My sister is just unlucky. You are a gem, Brother Murad".
Nur &Fakhr everyone hugged him and gave their blessings. Murad saw Seher sitting next to Shahzain. He ignored him and just saw her. Anyone can make out that this union was not a happy one. She did not have any emotions on her face, unlike yesterday when she was smiling. He prayed to Allah to give her all the happiness in the world. Seher felt someone's eyes on her and looked around. Murad averted his gaze and walked toward her.
Shahzain felt really sorry for this young man, but Seher was only his. He suddenly put his arm around her, pulling her closer. He didn't know why he became so possessive of her. Maybe because she was his wife now.
Murad came near them and congratulated them. It was an awkward moment.
Shahzain stood up giving him a hug."Shahzain, you snatched her, but I don't have any ill feelings. I think you are very lucky, someone might have prayed for you from their heart. That's why she became yours. She is a precious diamond, keep her happy and safe", Murad asked.
He gave a final look at Seher, who smiled back at him and he walked away without looking back, wiping his tears.
Shahzain was hit with jealousy when Seher smiled. He pulled her closer and tightened his grip on her waist, not worried that his fingers might bruise her delicate skin." Seher, I am a very possessive man about my belongings. I won't remind you again. I don't want you to smile at anyone except me".
Seher hissed in pain and Shahzain, realizing it, loosened his grip, gently massaging the place where he was holding.

The Many Blades of Wuxia
Hundreds of years after the Heretic wars ended, life has returned to its blissful ignorant state that only peace could bring. Whilst the never-ending war between Man, Beast and Mutant rages on, most are not even aware of a war that happened between men. Its prophecies shattered, their remnants surviving only in obscure bard tales. One is about to grow. On the cracked face of the world, Essence storms and Beast Waves keep the citizenry locked atop the Emperor city of Qaelang. Knowledge of the past is as rare as the metals that flow into the hands of Sacred Artists and at the root of it all are whispers of a malignant force, ancient and terrible. Holding humanity back from achieving greatness, but hiding too are secrets best left untouched. Balance, discipline and order have held Qaelang secure since time immemorial, the powers within claiming to adhere to them. None are more fearful of change than the ones with the most to lose, but change is coming. Blade of Wuxia is a long character-focused epic fantasy with progression and growth. It's about a boy's quest to become powerful enough to save those he cares most for and give them a better life. It's set in a world of hidden pasts and uncovering them will set him on a path that shakes the Empire. As this is a rewrite that took on a wildly different spin, reviews are most welcome and help me do better. What can the reader expect? A Wuxia society set in a High fantasy world. People are only doing what they know and may have mistaken beliefs. A clever resourceful protagonist with human flaws A far-reaching hidden fantasy world, rich in history. Multiple points of view are used to follow the story to its natural conclusions, not every NPC has all the answers, but there is one MC in this book. Progression will take time and sometimes even unknowingly. MC is not trained in the ways and knowledge must be tempered against experimentation. Release Schedule. 2 chapters a week, family and work permitting. Only if I'm happy with the chapter will I release it. That being said I am open to revision should an articulated critical response show merit. This story is not completed yet but I do have a general idea of what the end looks like for both MC's (yes both) Ultimately feedback will be most influential on the progression of release as it's you guys I'm looking to entertain. Expected Changes None really, I'm writing as I go and have a path planned for 6 books Chapter release rate might change if we take off and feedback starts flowing, but for now, it is just about making sure Arcs flow smoothly onto the next. Cover, yes absolutely! If there is enough interest I will open a Patreon account and use the first proceeds to commission an EPIC cover and hopefully a few scary artworks of our brave Cultivators and the foes they face.
