Author's note: This chapter got deleted and so I had to try and cook something up. The result is a lot shorter than what it was before, but I enjoyed this chapter and still wanted it in the story.
So my apologies for the quality and writing.

The morning after, everyone was back on the coach as they were all returning back to the school. Back in their original seats, Brody was sitting next to Adrian as he texted Ashley about how they were on their way back.
After he finished sending the text, Brody turned his attention on the still sleepy Adrian besides him. "So you got any plans when we get back?"
Adrian let out a yawn as he was still tired. "I'm having dinner with my mom, she's eager to know about the trip. What about you."
"Probably just stay home and watch something on Netflix."
Adrian became shy as he focussed his attention on a loose thread on Brody's jeans. He began to pick it as he started talking to Brody. "So this means I won't be able to see you until Monday I guess."
Brody began to smile widely as he teased Adrian. "Going to miss me?"
Adrian blushed before he answered honestly. "Yeah, I will."
Brody shared the same sentiment as he was going to miss having Adrian by his side. Nudging his shoulder against Adrian, he got Adrian's attention and looked him in the eyes. "I'm going to miss you too."
Adrian smiled blindly at that before letting out a laugh that only them two could hear. "It'll only be a few hours and here we are being so sentimental."
This didn't change anything as Brody feeling's for Adrian was still strong. Moving to sit closer to him, Brody pressed his side against Adrian as they shared this intimate moment together without speaking.

Later that night, Brody was currently in bed as he was reading a book before he went to sleep. Whilst engaged in the book, Brody thought he heard his phone ring briefly and so he went to go and check it.
He saw on his phone that there was a miscall from Adrian, the time being the same one as right now.
Brody put his book down and picked up his phone to call Adrian, waiting for him to pick up.
It was instantaneous as Brody didn't even hear the dial ring. Knowing that Adrian was there, "Did you just ring and hang up on me?"
Adrian seemed a little nervous on his side as he stalled for time before speaking again. "Umm, yeah. Sorry."
With Adrian seeming a little strange at the moment, Brody asked. "Is something wrong."
"No no!" Adrian quickly said. There was another pause before Adrian began to speak again. "I just, umm, wanted to say good night."
Adrian wanted to hit himself for admitting that, cringing at little bit on the inside even if it really was how he felt. Brody on the other hand was super happy because of Adrian's honesty. "You dork."
Brody heard Adrian laugh softly at that when Brody asked him about his day. "So how was dinner with your mom?"
"It was good. I told her about the game and meeting Jetson. I even told her about the carnival too. Get this, she stole the grey rabbit I won! Now I only have my blue monkey left."
Laughing at Adrian's dramatics, Brody then looked at his carnival stuffed animal collection by his side. "My stuffed toys are by Elly."
"Ellie?"
"Not Ellie, Elly."
"That's what I'm saying!" Adrian exclaimed, completely confused about what Brody was talking my about.

Brody's voice was unnerved as he spoke seriously. "Elly with an -ly, not an -ie."
The seriousness in Brody's tone made Adrian laugh out loud. "And you call me the dork." Adrian's laugh became infectious as Brody joined in too, smiling into the phone as they talked.
There was now a comfortable silence on the phone line as they could hear each other calmly breathing on the phone.
"I miss having you next to me." Brody confessed, imaging that Adrian was by his side right now.
Adrian shared the same feeling as he missed Brody too. "I kind of got used to you holding me at night."
Brody's heart warmed with passion as his heart rate was beating rapidly whilst talking to Adrian over the phone.
With it being late, Brody was saying goodnight to Adrian. "I'll see you soon you?"
"Night Brody."
"Sweet dreams."

The Kiss of Two Moons
The last year is upon us. The world is ending, but you already knew that; everyone does. Spring has come, and the flowers have bloomed here in this small town with no name. Thousands of different colours now paint the field that had been coloured by frost alone just yesterday. The townsfolk have gathered by the field to celebrate the beginning of the last spring with so many smiling faces. Tears too. I can’t help but wonder whether the flowers will bloom again before the sky falls upon us. Others must be thinking the same. There are moments when the smiles fade and their eyes glaze over as they realize just how near to the end we are. They forget it again in moments. They make themselves forget. The children aren’t like that, though. They don’t seem to understand, or they’ve come to accept it in a way that their parents just can’t manage to. This one boy actually asked me why I was sad. I had to wonder whether he was actually aware that the world is ending, but it seemed wrong to mention it. I ended up just telling him that I was waiting for someone, and he scampered off, wearing a silly smile. I can’t help but feel jealous of him. The beginning of next spring; the day that the world ends. It seems so far away, yet so close. Wherever you are now, I have to ask, how are you spending your last spring? Did you get to see the flowers bloom? Did you smile? Did you cry?
