Anthony woke up, feeling even worse every time the clock ticked. For almost a week he had been caught a flu or a fever, or something he didn't realize he was getting. He went to the doctor and got some medical prescriptions, as well as advice to rest; something he rarely did. Doctor said his illness was caused by either virus, or bad weather, or stress; something he actually had been feeling for the last few weeks.
The said weeks were a total mess, to say the least. He'd been dealing with many things, many stressful things. For once he got a speeding ticket on his way home as well as a direct, impolite warning from the police of not to use phones while driving. Sure, he realized it was a bad thing, but if anything his boss should be blamed. There was a shortage of inventory in this office supply store he worked at and his boss demanded the additional purchase to be done quickly, when the store itself didn't have much money to spend on. It was a stupid idea to accept a client's big order to begin with. Anthony had warned the boss about it but his stupid-ass thought he knew better.
Things at home weren't all great either. Just when he needed the most, the hot water in his apartment didn't work. Then he found Melina's dog, Pita took a dump in one of his beloved shoes; that fat shit of a dog. And then no one at home to clean up his messed up apartment; and neither to calm him down. Melina could, but at this point, fuck her.
Their break-up was anything but nice, and Melina was anything but kind to him. And so was he. With her poor attempt to make things right and his anger rose, things escalated quickly. Further disagreements led to Anthony finally said the magic word "I'm done!". Easy as that, she moved out of the apartment the next day, leaving him be done with their relationship.

Oh well, it was his fault to say that.
By this time, the sun had already set. Anthony's chicken soup was warming up in the oven. While waiting, he lazily walked up to the counter and grabbed his phone. He dialed his workplace asked for a day-off because of his illness and fortunately he was permitted. That fat-head boss still had a little bit of brain apparently.
Besides that he had nothing else important. There were, however, several unread messages on his group chat.
Tyler: just a quick reminder, we still gonna play tonight, right?
Marcel: yeah, the four of us still do this. Whats the max player for that game mode?
Tyler: 2-8. We still have rooms for more if you want.
Marcel: well we could invite other than the guys? Like Chrissy and Kelly? We havent played together with the girls for a while. Might as well - Simone cant tho.
Scotty: actually we can. Lemme talk to Chrissy. I am sure shes good. Tyler?
Tyler: Kelly wont be back until ten, I am afraid - hey Scotty, I thought Chrissy would be playing with Mami tonight? At least thats what Kelly told me.
Scotty: yea, but I'll ask Chrissy again. Maybe Mami would like to join as well.
Marcel: wait, whos Mami? Lol
Scotty: Chrissy's friend she met online. The three of em, with Kelly often play together. Simone might know tho - yeah, I'll talk to Chrissy. I'll bring this up again later.
Tyler: okay - is Anthony woken up yet?
Marcel: okay Scott - dunno
Anthony chuckled slightly and answered something about waking up and availability to play tonight. In the meantime, he would probably go back to bed after finishing his breakfast since he didn't need to go to work. No, that'd be a lot less productive. He should go to the gym by now. Damn, he was slacking off a lot lately, definitely gaining more than a pound or two.

In the end he decided to do things he loved the most, making videos; or in this case, editing them. Looking through his file, he did have some gameplays left untouched from yesterdays' session that of course needed editing. After a quick wash-up, he turned on the computer and positioned himself, getting comfortable. Editing videos could be a total pain in the ass, literally. Having to sit for many hours on a stiff office chair was something to be taken seriously. With his fat ass, his body might get worse. Hmm... a good massage was necessary.
Yeah, Anthony probably could use a massage, loosening up the tight knot and stiff muscles. After that he would buy lunch, maybe texted anyone to grab lunch together and whatnot. He immediately remembered that he needed to buy some toiletries and extra food stock. He'd do that after lunch. After all of that he would go home, continued his edit for a little bit, asking Melina to draw his thumbnail-
Oh shit.
He didn't have a thumbnail. He didn't have his thumbnail artist. He didn't have... anymore.
Fuck.
