The Perks of Immortality
This story will no longer be updated. After living decades and dying hundreds of times, Kegan has learned that he has finally passed some test that the cruel spirit had given him. Now, Kegan has the ability to gain “perks” that can make his life much easier. He is looking forward to finally having an easy life with the new perks he has earned. Rules to keep me honest for the perk system: Spoiler: Spoiler 1. The purpose of perks is to help the MC live longer and do new things each life. 2. The perks can be unlocked by getting hurt or killed. 3. The perks can be unlocked by putting in a lot of effort that isn’t easily duplicated in a new life. 4. Perks are generally beneficial enhancements to the MC’s body. 5. Perk costs can be lowered with more impressive achievements to unlock them. 6. Perk costs can be lowered by repeated death or injury from something the perk protects against. 7. Perk costs are increased for quality of life improvements that don’t benefit survival. I want to avoid one of the pitfalls I see for other LitRPG stories where the game elements barely relate to the story, or offer very little information. If people are skipping over and not reading the perks then I'm doing things wrong. *Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

Dungeon City Vanskoria
In this modern era, a dungeon where magic existed emerged almost 300 years ago. After a long history, a city were erected as humanity frontier to challanging the dungeon. Between blood and broken bone, in the face of eternal struggle, human adapted to the challange. From the ashes of burning desire to life came human that capable to use magic. They were called Magus, and they were all born, life, and die protecting the Dungeon City Vanskoria. The story following several characters, Leon and Hana, a teenager pair that has just starting their dungeon diving world. He, a bastard child, came from nowhere and no family background. She, a cursed child, unwanted by her family. Together they tried to find comfort in each other and tried to make a living in the dungeon city. When the relationship between Vanskoria and the rest of the world were worsened, Ray Edmund step forward as a representative for the city. His work was to tell the world what dungeon is all about and how Vanskoria deal with it. As a veteran of dungeon diving, he quickly found that his world was really different from the world that normal people saw. The final character, Arianna Valentine, a normal girl with a normal life, faraway from the dungeon life. But there was an accident that involving her and a magus several years ago. From then on her view were distorted little by little, dragging her surrounding into a total confusion and unknown future. Author Note : Update weekly on Weekend (around friday-sunday), 3-5k words per chapter Slow pace, lots of conversation and drama. The action part will came later on.
