《Switched》Chapter 12

Vanti's POV
I sigh as I bite through the rag. "Are you guys gonna rape me?" I laugh a bit hearing everyone choke on their breathe. "O-of course not!" Jonathan says. I smirk, "seems like it. I mean I am tied up in the back and I had a rag over my mouth." Brock kept driving and said, "Like Delirious said. We aren't going to rape you. What experience would we get from that? Right guys?" Everyone was silent before David spoke up. "I miss Evan" I untied myself and sat up. Lui nodded. "I miss him too! He always bought me gummy worms!" He smiled. Tyler sighed. "He always knew what to do even if they were stupid ideas" Brian looked out the window. "I hate him.. but I can't help but love him" Brian hit his head on the window.
Anthony patted his back. "We'll find a way to get Evan back!" I think about what was happening around me. They all miss my other self. I wonder if my friends miss me. I shake my head quickly and scoff. 'What do I care if they miss me?' I felt the car stop and everyone got out. "Already?" I asked. I felt the back open and I got out. Jonathan grabbed my arm and made sure I wouldn't escape. I rolled my eyes and made him let go of me. "Don't fucking touch me." Jonathan scoffed. "Now is that any way to talk to Delirious?" He said. I laughed. "Still the narcissistic bastard, I see." I laugh more when he gave me a look of confusion. "What?" He said. I stop laughing. 'Oh right' I sigh and rub my head. "Nothing. I just wanna go back to sleep"

"Not right now" Tyler said marking stuff on a piece of paper as everyone was crowded around a map.
Tyler's POV
I'm going crazy!! I have no idea what to do!! We are in the back of this fucking huge bank and we WERE planning on stealing the money, but I have no plan! I rub my face as Anthony shows the guys the map outline of the bank. I think of Vanoss and how he would always be filled with excitement when telling us his plans. Even if they were stupid and dumb, we would always follow them. Always protecting us even if it's my job to protect us. I smile a little. I remember there was this one time where Lui got a cut on his finger and vanoss was the first to his side. He gave him an ointment and a bandage. He was so relieved when it didn't get infected. "Hey tyler!!" Brian shouts at me. I drop my pen and look at him. "What?!" I shout at him back.
"We've been calling your name for..." Brian stops to check his watch. "A good 8 minutes!!" Moo shushes us. "Don't be so loud!" He said quietly. "We're still behind a big bank ya-know!" I rolled my eyes and picked up my pen. "Just thinking" I say. "Sure a hella of a thought" Brian mutters. I stay quiet hoping he'll take a hint. Moo sighs. "You're thinking of Evan huh?" "Is it that obvious moo?" I cross my arms. Moo laughs a bit. "I've been thinking of him too ya-know." He smiles weakly. "I really do miss his pranks and his loud shouting of alright" I smile a little before turning to Anthony. "Hey Anthony.. how about we plan this heist another day and figure out how to get Vanoss back?"

Also available on Audible! After centuries of endless wars, the three greatest nations of the continent have come together in peace. As a symbol of their cooperation, they have worked together to establish the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial, and Arcane Arts, a place where the best and brightest of each nation can gather on neutral ground and share knowledge, techniques, and cultures. Can the peace truly last, or is the academy just another proxy for the constant conflicts the three nations face? None of that matters to Lee Jia, a homeless young girl who's biggest concern is surviving the winter. But when she accidentally stumbles into the academy in search of a new place to stay, her destiny is changed forever. Determined to carve out a new place for herself and make the most of her good fortune, Lee Jia dives head first into the world of magic and martial arts. Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. I try to write every day, with a goal of about 45,000 words per month (~1500 per day). Chapter lengths are around 3000 words on average, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cover art drawn by the incredibly talented Tsuu (TsurotArtistry).

The Elements of Terra
A bandit child, son to a recluse man and a dead mother. A thief, who has unyielding determination to become the strongest. A man, who stops at nothing to achieve success in the face of many enemies. A god, who grew to have no equal. This is the story of a man wielding the elements and a lonely sword who rose to conquer the heavens*********My story is about rising to the peak of cultivation. Almost everything in my story has behind it a framework, something that can be explained by another underlying reason. This is my first story and I know I'm bad at names, but I'll try my best. English is my first language, so I should be ok on the grammar side. However, please let me know when I make a mistake so I can fix it.

Is Lucas Destined to Die in the New World?
Lucas imagined himself doing grander things in life; after all, he put in his own blood, sweat, and tears, and got himself a master's degree in English. Maybe he'd be the next best-selling author, or maybe the most popular late night TV show host. However, life didn't give him anything more than a management position at the local burger joint. Day in and day out, he flipped burgers, swept floors, and made weekly schedules that his employees ignored. All he had known for the past five years of his life was pure misery. Then after one night of drunken revelry, he found himself in an unfamiliar world, but he knew all the gimmicks. He knew these stories had quirks he could manipulate- he could put all his stats into magic and become the best wizard in the world, or he could dump all his stats into strength and become a veritable warrior. But once again, just like Earth, this new world seemed to have different plans for him. Instead, he was given a luck stat of 0 and a skill that forced him into danger where there should have been none. Why is this nerdy, magical paradise trying to kill him? Content warnings are there to give me some creative legroom later. There's not an excess of any gruesome content in the story, and what is there is tastefully sprinkled in. This is a LitRPG. Updates are twice a week on Mon/Fri plus some extras here and there.
