deuk234: Why did you start reading Wings of Fire?
WatsonPhia: I first started reading them when I was around twelve, I was introduced to them through the graphic novels before the actual books, and I've loved them ever since.
deuk234: What made you start writing WoF fanfiction?
WatsonPhia: I have always liked to write, and reading lots of fanfiction kinda nudged me into writing my own. The Wattpad community only encouraged and inspired me more, and the feedback from other writers has been great! I also noticed there are very few Pantala fanfics compared to the vast amount of Phyrria ones, so I thought it would be fun to try and tip the balance.
deuk234: What were the struggles along the way?
WatsonPhia: Struggles? Oh, probably updating consistently and writer's block.
deuk234: Are you going to make a Jade Winglet fanfic in the future?
WatsonPhia: I have no plans as of yet, because there are so many JW fanfics, and Phyrria ones in general, I find it hard to make a unique story. I think it could be a fun sequel, but I will make no promises.
deuk234: Is there anything else you'd like to say to fans?
WatsonPhia: Well, obviously THANK YOU! I would not have 1k views if you guys hadn't been giving me views. And some quick writing advice:
Be consistent
Make relatable characters
Revise, rewrite, and edit
And this one's underrated, GOOD GRAMMAR. People won't come back to read something that's hard to read because you don't do paragraph breaks or you don't use commas.
deuk234: Are you going to write an original book?
WatsonPhia: I'm glad you asked! I have been working on an original book (series) for about a year now. I have no idea of any kind of release date besides in the future. I would talk about it more, but I'm avoiding spoilers.
