《The Match ✓》Chapter 12🥊

I can barely sit still in my seat as right in front of me, across from me at the table in a restaurant is Lila. She is so beautiful and sweet. She gave me keys to her own apartment which is a win for me. Now I want to do something nice for her. She deserves it, she deserves the world and one day I will gift it to her with a pretty bow just for her. "I had forgotten about that" She speaks, referring to the fact that I had taken a peek at the pictures she had in her apartment.
This restaurant seemed like one that she liked as she had at least three pictures framed of it from three different years but I'm not going to let her know that I had looked at all of them, studied them for minutes before moving to the next one. I might know her better than she knows but I barely know her past but that doesn't matter since I'm taking her into the future. "Why don't you quit your job?" I ask her, she is stunned by the question and doesn't know why I'm asking it but I have to know.
I have seen her back account, she has more money than a normal person, she has more money than I have even, and she is rich, but she doesn't act like it nor does she live like she is. "I like working. It might not be the best job in the world and I would rather dance but working is something anyone has to do, besides I need the money" As soon as those words had come out of her mouth I knew it was a lie. It struck my heart as if she had stabbed me with the knife that is in front of her.

Yet I cannot seem to figure out why this beautiful creature in front of me is hiding the truth, she can tell me anything. "Would you do it if all you could do was dance?" I ask her. Once again she is shocked and I suppose she has never been asked these questions and I know she hasn't. People think that she is just an ordinary girl that comes from a small part of the city but I believe she comes from money, where? I don't know but I intend to find out.
She is a mystery that the world has presented to me and I want to crack this riddle and find what is underneath without harming her in the process. "I don't know" She answers, and she does look confused as if she had been thinking. I know that one day she will only dance and I will stand by her side when she quits her job and focuses only on her ballet career. She is the best and deserves the best and dancing is all that she deserves as well as myself that is. Though a part of me knows that she is out of my league.
"Do you have a job other than boxing?" She asks me, I think to change everything back to me. I don't want my sweet angel to learn more about my horrid past because she is way too precious to know such things. I chuckle at her. "No, boxing is the only job that I have. It pays well" I tell her but I'm not going into the details of how much suffering I can inflict on people and I'm good at it, I'm good at beating people and I will not hesitate to beat someone up to protect her.

She was about to ask something else when the food came by and distracts her. Seeing her nearly fawn over mere food makes me smile to myself. Lila's weakness has always been food as she tends to savor each and every bite. It's adorable how she can sometimes act like a child and own it, she is one of a kind and should be because God himself as sculpted her into an angel which has blessed me and never shall I take advantage of his work nor her for she is the most magnificent creature in the world.
"You're not eating" She says after some minutes have passed. I chuckle as I have noticed that too. I had taken one bite and hated it, but she is happy so that is all that matters. "I'm not hungry" I tell her, though I can see as her eyes starts to change, and she looks down to the ground in shame. Something that I notice she always does when feeling awkward. Her phone starts to light vibrate on the table, and she turns it around to check. I see that her look has a hint of fear to it that she tries to hide.
Fury rises within myself as the anger only wishes to be freed into the world and destroy everything that wishes to taint her and harm her in ways that I will tear this world apart if she sheds a tear. I reach over and take her hand, but she steps her phone back, facing down on the table and looks at me. I can see the fear in her eyes when all she is trying to do is hide is. "Is there something wrong?" I ask her, despite me wanting to break someone's bones for this.
She nods her head and gulps. "Yes" She answers but I can tell she is so close to breaking down. My other hand clenches in a fist to the point where my fist is white and it hurts but I don't stop. Someone is going to get hurt, badly if she is about shed tears and feel a pain inside her heart. The perfect heart that is the reason which she is alive but I will allow her heart to feel pain. I will fix this and I will do so with force if need be, but never shall I hurt her.
