《The Match ✓》Chapter 48🥊

"You're looking happy" My coach speaks beside me and I glare at him. He knows I'm not the one to speak of my personal life, but he's the type that always keeps on asking and hinting on something. "Could it be because of the lovely Lila?" He asks me. That is exactly what I'm referring to. My glare only becomes angrier. "That is none of your business" I hiss at him, and he backs away with his hands in the air but a smirk on his face. A smirk that tells me he's enjoying this, and he likes to see me like this.

"And don't call her that" I tell him in a warning tone which he knows all too well. He chuckles. "What lovely? Can't I speak the truth. Her beauty is unlike any other and I'm sure that one day she will be shining brighter than the sun" He says with a smirk on his face. I clench my fists tightly. He's really pushing my bottoms, and he knows it damn well, and he's trying to make me angry. Why? That I don't know. "You better stop talking right now or you will not be able to talk at all" I warn him as I furrow my eyebrows at him in anger.

"All right, all right. I just came to tell you that the police are here looking for you. Some detective something" He tells me and gestures for Detective Jones that is waiting by the gym entrance with his partner who is looking terrified of the people here but tires to hide it though. I glare at my coach before I leave and walk over to the detectives. "How may I help you?" I ask them very uninterested in anything that they have to say to me.

"You're not here to arrest me or you would've done so already, so out with it" I nearly hiss at the Detective who just glares at me as well as holds a look of anger. "There is one thing that I can't seem to puzzle together. You're constantly around her and I did some digging. You put her in your will. Such a strange thing but the strangest thing about it is how you put her in your will two years ago. If you have recently been introduced, how can you explain that?" He asks me with an emotionless look on his face.

I don't give him the satisfaction to know that I'm shocked. "If I had put her into my will would it not make sense to poison me because she is the one that would get everything that I own? If she d-dies then there is no one to inherit everything but that is only if I did it. I've not created a will nor have I any idea how it exists. If you have any more questions, I suggest you hurry, I'm going to pick up my girlfriend. I don't and her to get sick in this rain. You see, I'm taking her to lunch. Our first lunch as an official couple" I speak with a smirk on my face.

I feel great satisfaction when his face does fall, and he's shocked but when he doesn't say anything I walk past him into the pouring rain but as I was about to get into my car I notice that they're talking amongst themselves, trying to make something up to frame me. My will? I don't even have a will, though even if I had one she would be the one that I would put but I would want it to be after we marry.

It does not make sense to anything that they're saying but then again the police never have been rather smart. I get into my car and start driving to the ballet studio where I'm going to take her to a surprise lunch. I can't spend time away from her, I need her to be with me at all times, especially now when there is some lunatic trying to kill her but I will always be there to protect her, even if I have to protect her from herself. The rain is not that good and it only makes things worse.

I hate the rain with great passion, something about it just screams disaster and the way that it's cold and if you don't have an umbrella you will get soaked and now my clothes are itching from the slight wetness that has formed on them because of the merciless rain. Traffic is not that good either as it would appear that everyone has decided to go out for lunch even in this raining mess. I grip the steering wheel tighter to the point where my fists are white but that is the last thing that is on my mind.

Finally, I make it to the ballet studio and park behind it. Getting out of my car I walk through the surprisingly open door which I find odd because it's raining inside but I'm not the one that is in control of this. I walk through the studio building trying to find her but I can't seem to see her anywhere. It's odd. She's not even where she always practices which she should be at the moment, lost in her own mind with a smile on her face and looking like a true angel.

But she's not. "Hello, can you see if Lila is in there?" I ask a woman, and she nods her head and walks back into the locker room when I had stooped her while she had gone out the door. I wait for the woman or Lila to come back and my heart inside me is on the verge of tearing this place to pieces to find her. Something's wrong, I can feel it. The woman comes back out of the locker room. "She's not there, sorry love" She tells me and then walks past me. Something is definitely wrong.
