《The Match ✓》Chapter 78🥊

Taking my gloves off me and throwing them to the side as I have become the champion. People are cheering for me but none of them matter to me. I pick up an ice pack to my face to help with the swelling that I have on my cheek as well as my eye. I sit down and drink from my water bottle and let out a loud breath. My body is exhausted and every muscle inside me is aching but the pain only makes me work harder than I have done before and I punch harder and kick harder.
These last days have been hard on me as not only am I throwing myself into work but I'm also staying there for hours after it has been closed and working out. Pushing my body past my limits. I need to be in better shape for the woman that I love was taken and I just got her back, I'm not about to let someone take her again. Never again will she be taken away from me. I will fight to the death to bring safety to her and keep her from harm in any shape or form, even if that means that I have to be the one that dies.
I was about to stand up when my eyes land on someone. Lila. She's standing in front of me with a shy look on her face. She looks adorable standing there. Seeing her in front of me is like a dream as her beauty is unlike anything and her presence is like I'm in heaven. She walks over to me and I stand up. She's so small and so adorable. "Hi" She speaks and it's clear that she doesn't know what to say but I just find it cute.
The smile on her face is something that I love seeing on her face and I would do anything to keep that smile on her face. I lean in to hug her but she backs away. "Not until you've taken a shower. You're sweaty and smelly" She tells me and I let out a chuckle, but it's hard to not roll my eyes at her. "Fine. Stay here and don't move" I say to her, and she laughs. Her heavenly laugh is all that I need. "All right, just hurry up and shower" She tells me and uses her hand to gesture for the locker room.

I shake my head as I go over there and take a quick shower. Lila on my mind the whole time. Which has its pros and cons. Though the shower does help and as soon as I'm dressed, I take my things with me out of the locker room and I see her. She's sitting on the bench that I was sitting on, and she's watching another match that is going on but I'm done for the day. Now, I'm going to spend some time with my girlfriend, it's long overdue that it happens.
I join her on the bench and take her hand and instantly I feel like everything is completed now that she is here with me. "So, I was thinking of taking you out tonight, I've already planned it" I say to her, and she gives me a confused look. "How? I came here to surprise you" She asks me. Lila is always so confused and it's a good aspect of hers and I love how her eyebrows furrow, and she is clueless. I just love looking at all the expressions that she makes to match the feelings that she feels inside.
"I spoke to your father. We had an... interesting chat" I tell her and by that I mean that I nearly broke two of his fingers. Whatever gets the job done. Besides, he had it coming for him after what he has done to her. "Where are you taking me?" She asks me. Lila flinches when she sees one guy hit the other one so hard that some of his teeth fall out. Though he does not have many left so losing these is not a big deal to him, I think. "It's a secret" I tell her as I smirk at her.
"A secret?" She asks but a playful look comes across her face. She stands up and takes both of my hands and pulls me up. Of course, I stand up and let her have the win that she was able to lift me up into a standing position, and she laughs. She doesn't say anything as she starts to drag me out of the gym which was the next part in my plan as I don't want her to be around blood and fighting any longer than she needs too. She has already been through too much of that.

She steps right at the entrance and turns to face me. "Since you're keeping a secret from me. I suppose I deserve to have one as well" She speaks to me and laughs. Her laughter does things to me and it takes me to heaven, and yet I'm still back here on earth with her, but she makes me happy. "And what secret could you be hiding from me?" I ask her as I raise an eyebrow at her. Wrapping my arm around her waist I pull her towards me until she's up against my chest.
A giggle leaves her lips when I do this. She goes on her toes, and she can reach some height by doing so which can be because of her ballet flexibility that she has. She leans to my ear. "I really want to kiss you right now" She whispers into my ear and I feel the shivers run down my entire body when those words leave her mouth. Her head moves back a bit and I look into her eyes as she starts to lean in, and she captures my lips in a surprising matter as she pulls me in for a kiss that I don't deny is amazing.

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!
