King Charles of France, my uncle, decided to make me as his successor making me the Queen of France before Prince Henri and Princess Claude will take place. He said that the announcement of the new crown succession will be right after the wedding ceremony but it took him for awhile before finalizing his decision because of the Protestants in France, they caused the delay of the new law enforcement.

, I moved to Italy with King Marco and be the Queen of Italy.

Earlier this day, I got a letter from the King of France stating that I should go to France regarding the announcement of succession. I decided to leave in awhile, right after fixing the things that I will bring. Of course, my ladies will come with me. Mother won't be going since she's in Scotland doing her the duties as the Queen of Scotland and she's also taking care of my 10-month-old baby brother, James. Marco, my husband, will be left behind but will follow a day after the event- we'll be leaving France together.

"My Queen, your carriage is ready"

Guard said

"Thank you"

"Knock knock"

Marco said

"Marco!"

"Hello my beautiful queen"

"Are you ready?"

"I am"

"Shall I escort you downstairs?"

"If you insist"

He smiled at me

We went down together, I made sure that he'll be fine before I will leave to France

"I will be okay, Alex"

"Needn't worry"

He said

"Okay, I'll be back after the ceremony"

"Will I see you there?"

"Yes, you will, my love"

He kissed me before I hop in my carriage

"Stay safe, my love"

He whispered

"Of course"

We left the castle and went to the port with the protection of the King's men. A day after, we've arrived at the French border and docked at the port.

The Italian and Scottish ambassadors welcomed me to France upon my arrival.

As I arrive in French Court, King Charles ordered that the announcement will be held an hour later.

So we have an hour to dress and rest.

"Alexandra, my beautiful niece!"

"Uncle Charles"

I smiled at him

"Are you ready for later's event?"

"Not yet, though"

"Well, you should be"

"And you needn't worry, I made sure all of the Frenchmen will be happy to hear the news."

"Alex!"

Princess Claude came to me

"Aunt Claude!"

"Wait!"

"Are you-?"

"Pregnant?"

She said

She nodded and smiled

"Oh my! Congratulations"

"When did you find out?"

"A month after the wedding, I was already weeks old pregnant"

"Couldn't be more proud for her"

King Charles said

"I am glad that you and Luc are already going great"

"Yeah, we are"

"I as well... I am happy too"

"You should be"

"You deserve to be happy"

"She said it right, sister"

"By the way, where's grandmother?"

"Oh she's inside making sure that the throne room is very organized and pleasant for the guests that may arrive for later's event"

Princess Claude said

"You know, mother... she wants everything according to her taste"

King Charles laughed

"Queen Alexandra"

Narcisse bowed

"Lord Narcisse"

"What a pleasant surprise!"

"How are you?"

"Doing great actually"

He scratched his head

"Where's Philppe?"

I asked

"I heard he arrived minutes before you came"

He said

"Okay, I'll just excuse myself and go see my brother"

I went to find him and saw him at the garden

"Brother!"

I called him

"Oh Alex!"

"I didn't know you're here already"

He came to me and gave a hug

"Sorry..."

"I'm busy with my duties here"

He added

"Duties?"

"Oh I forgot!"

"Guess who's the new King's deputy?"

He smiled

"Oh my god!"

"Congratulations!!!"

"I am so proud"

"Very proud, brother!"

I hugged him

"I think this is the second time I congratulate someone since I arrive here"

"Oh is it Claude?"

"Yes! I sure did miss a lot of news from here"

"Before anything else, I have a surprise for you later"

"What is it?"

"You'll see him later"

"Him???"

"So how's Italy?"

"By the way, didn't Marco came with you here?"

"No, but he will come here tomorrow"

I nodded

"So how's the queen doing?"

He elbowed me

"I am not actually used to being called Queen"

"Queen Alexandra of Italy"

"That's like... wow!"

He said

"And you're like the Princess of two other countries"

"Don't forget, one of the true successor of England's crown"

He added

"Pshh"

"Phil..."

"You're too humble, sister"

"C'mon! Just for a day, feel high and mighty"

"Oh brother..."

We laughed

An hour later, I got dressed and went downstairs for the King's very special announcement.

"My fellow countrymen, some may be disappointed on my decision of staying unwed until my last dying breath"

"But I will make sure that the successor to the throne will be worthy enough to replace me after I die"

"I've come up of an idea to name someone to be my successor since I will stay unwed and will not have an heir"

"I know that you expect that my sibling, my brother will be crowned next but-"

"We've talked about it and decided to name someone who is actually our relative and was supposedly have crowned as the heir to throne before me"

"And I am talking about the one and only daughter of my late brother- King Francis and the Queen of Scots, Queen Mary. My beautiful niece, the Queen of Italy- Queen Alexandra I"

The King's guard announced my arrival,

"Queen Alexandra of Italy, Princess of Scotland and France"

I walked in the throne room in my bejeweled midnight blue with a touch of white Italian court gown.

All of the subjects, French Lords and ambassadors bowed down as I walk in

"Anything you want to say my dear niece?"

"To all my fellow Frenchmen, I am honored to be declared as the successor of the French crown by the decision made by King Charles"

"This will also serve as my gratitude, my honor to my father"

"I soon look forward to be the Queen of France"

"That would be all"

"Okay, again"

"I hereby declare, Queen Alexandra Stuart de Valois di Visconti, Queen of Italy and Princess of Scotland and France, the successor to the throne"
