"Oh, come on!"
"I'm sorry, but I don't know if I'm in the mood for this..."
"Yeah, duh. I'm trying to persuade you so you can get into the mood!"
"But I've never been to a high school party before..."
Park Jimin stood in the middle of the room, his hands on his hips and a frustrated expression on his face.
A hesitant blonde boy sat on his bed, his legs crossed and his gaze averted towards the mattress.
Friday, Taehyung had called him and explained everything to him. Everything.
His love for Jungkook, what Mark had done, what happened with him, Jackson and Chris and the unwanted confession through his stolen diary.
Surprisingly, Jimin had not judged him for any of it, he was just a bit sad that the younger hadn't told him before. And he was sorry he had to go through all of that alone. Very sorry.
And now, he insisted on Taehyung moving on from recent events and cheering up.
Currently, he was trying to get him to go to a high school party. Loud, booming music, alcohol, provocative dancing and all that.
But was Taehyung keen on going? Not really.
He had been feeling extremely depressed for the last couple of days. But of course, he didn't want to anymore.
"I just got exposed, if they see me at this party now--" Jimin interrupted him with a shake of his head.
"So you're gonna spend the rest of your high school time being miserable and running away from everyone? Go with me, have some fun and show them that you're better than this. That you're strong. Because you are."
Taehyung huffed.
"What if I get drunk and someone tries to force themselves on me? Or, what if I get drugged and someone tries to f--" Once again, Jimin interrupted:
"Not gonna happen, I'll be there and I'll keep you safe, if you want. Trust me, I've been to things like these before. Nothing happens, we're high schoolers. Everyone's so focused on themselves, they won't even notice you're there. Now, we have two more hours. What do you say?"
The blonde boy shrugged. "I don't know. I'm kind of worried, but if you stay with me all the time, I guess I could consider going for a change." And with that, the redhead squealed and threw himself in Taehyung's arms.
"Oh my god, yes! Finally!" He jumped up and down out of joy. "Okay, c'mere. I need to doll you up. You always look gorgeous, of course, but I'm gonna make you into a snack tonight. Total eye-candy. You're gonna look sexy as hell." He ran towards his backpack on the blonde's desk and rummaged through it, pulling out a set of clothes.

"I knew you were gonna say yes at some point, so I brought some clothes for you beforehand, aren't I a genius?"
He unfolded a pair of nice, slightly ripped jeans and a light blue shirt with extremely long sleeves that was partly off-shouldered, along with a cute, pearly white belt.
"Just wear those black shoes of yours and a cute necklace with that and you'll look bomb. Are you ready to get changed?," Jimin asked excitedly.
"Actually, I originally wanted to pair this shirt with some leather pants but I figured you'd say no since they're kinda revealing so I went with jeans instead. Unless you want to wear them?" The blonde boy shook his head excessively.
"No, definetely not. I guess I'll get changed." Hesitently, Taehyung grabbed the clothes and walked towards the bathroom.
When he walked out again, he saw Jimin sit on his bed, looking like he was about to faint.
"Oh my god, yes! You look amazing! Completely stunning! I would go gay for you! I knew these clothes would be perfect for you."
Taehyung let out a shy laugh, covering up his mouth.
"Thank you. But doesn't this shirt look weird on me?" The redhead shook his head.
"Shut up. You look fantastic. I know what I'm talking about." And all of a sudden, he pulled out something huge.
Seeing Taehyung's confused face, Jimin explained. "This is a make-up kit, Taehyung. The ultimate weapon to turn you into eye-candy." The younger widened his eyes.
"Make-up?! But Jimin, I don't know about--" And once again, he got interrupted.
"Oh shush, I know what I'm doing. I'll keep it subtle so you can look like an absolute banger. And now be quiet and don't move."
Nervously, Taehyung sat on the chair and kept quiet, hoping that his redhead friend really knew what he was doing.
With a concentrated expression on his face, Jimin applied a bit of concealer, powder, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, mascara and highlighter on his face. For a final touch, he tinted his lips with some glossy cherry lip tint.
When he finished, he grabbed Taehyung's face and pulled it closer towards him to scan over his complete make-up look. And then, he squealed.
"Oh my god, you look so beautiful! Drop dead gorgeous. Like a fucking snack. No, scratch that. A full-course meal! If you were food, I would actually eat you up. I can't believe my make-up skills have improved so much!" He checked the watch excitedly.
"Okay, forty-five more minutes. I'm gonna have to change and do my own make-up now, meanwhile you can check the mirror and fawn upon your own beauty. Sound good? Okay, see ya." The redhead ran towards the bathroom, leaving Taehyung dumbfounded in his room.

Since he had nothing better to do, he did check the mirror.
And he was astonished.
Taehyung had never been one to care much about his appearance, he thought he always looked the same. Not too good, not too bad.
But this, this was different.
He definetely was not a confident person but damn, did he look nice. Jimin really did a great job here.
It was quite an unusual look but the blonde thought he looked great with it. He liked it. And he was ready to go and do something new he had never experienced, despite the heartbreaking situation.

"You can't keep living like this, Kooks."
Said boy didn't give a clear response and just huffed, his eyes fixated on his bed sheets.
"Baby, please. Talk to me." A beautiful, middle-aged woman sat herself next to him, on his bed.
"It's been days, I'm getting worried about you. Please, at least try to distract yourself." And with that, the raven-haired boy raised his head, showing red and swollen eyes.
"Mom, he got hurt because of me. I was so dumb and blind, I didn't even realize he felt the way I felt. And now he hates me forever and he thinks I hate him. I had... a chance. And now I missed it. He didn't even come to school this week. How can I distract myself from that?" His voice was almost emotionless, a bit raspy and croaky aswell.
Mrs. Jeon comforted her son by playing with his hair. "You couldn't have known. Both of you were scared. And who knows? Maybe the chance isn't lost at all. You can't know before you try, next time you saw him, please try to talk to him."
"How am I supposed to talk to him? Now that I know he loves- or loved me back, all I wanna do is just grab him and kiss him. Or like... cry." His mother let out a deep sigh, her hand not leaving his hair.
"I'm sure he still loves you. Feelings don't go away that easily. Next time you see him, at least try to have a nice and civilized conversation with him. But for now, please try to forgot and go out and enjoy yourself? Your friend Hoseok called since you aren't answering your phone, he said there's a party somewhere and he wanted you to come. What do you say?" Her son looked at her confused.
"A party? You said you don't like me going to parties a few years back." She laughed lightly.
"That was a few years back, when you were younger and a bit of a rule-breaker. I can definetely see you're miserable and going out always relieved you from stress. So this time, I say yes. Don't drink any alcohol, though."
"I don't know..." She patted his shoulder.
"I can't keep seeing you like this. At least try to have some fun, yeah? You don't want to disappoint your friend, right? And if you want to come home again, just call me. Forget about everything for now, please." He huffed.
Maybe mom's right. Hoseok's a chill guy, maybe I'll have some fun hanging with him. And there's no way I'll see Taehyung, he doesn't even go to parties.
"Fine, but only because you're telling me to. And if I don't like it, I'm coming back home." She nodded, an encouraging smile on her face.
She was eternally grateful that her son was at least willing to try to cheer up. The last few days had been a hassle- the ravenette did not speak much, he was pretty much emotionless all the time and at nighttime, she could hear him cry.
Mrs. Jeon couldn't help but wonder how Taehyung was doing. And if he was safe at home. The fact that he had not been to school after the incident was quite suspicious to her. But then she remembered Taehyung's mother was still there, a kind-hearted woman who would do anything to protect her child. She would keep him safe. At the moment, Mrs. Jeon could do nothing but hope.
As soon as his mother left the room, Jungkook pulled out some black clothes out of his closet, planning on wearing a leather jacket over them since he didn't feel like bringing attention onto himself by vibrant colours.
Then, he combed through his hair a few times (luckily, he had just showered this morning!) and borrowed his mother's concealer to hide the redness under his eyes, not to mention, the dark circles.
The past few days had been especially hard for him. He had many doubts, regrets, fears and worries. Which led him to do absolutely nothing and feel nothing, as if he were an empty shell.
But he did want to change that.
And as if on cue, the doorbell rang and he already knew who was standing outside.
"Here goes nothing." He shrugged and jogged towards the front door, bidding his mother goodbye and greeting Hoseok standing in the doorway.
After days of feeling like a literal pile of shit, he was actually looking forward to have a good time, without any complicating thoughts.
Little did he know what would happen at that party.
