《《BFF》|| taekook ✔️》Chapter 47

Sunday was a boring day for Taehyung.

It was as if God had decided to make everyone's mood go down the drain by sending down excessive amounts of rain down from Heaven. If he actually existed, of course.

There was something quite depressing about the way several tiny raindrops flumped themselves onto the glass of his window and skimmed down, further and further. Until they reached the window sill and from there, were dropped onto the ground just like that. And from there, found themselves together to creat puddles.

If Taehyung still were a child, he would've had lots of fun fixating his pupils on two particular raindrops and watching them race each other down the glass. That action had always excited him and never got boring.

But he wasn't a child anymore. He was a teenager, so close to reaching adulthood. There was a lot more overthinking and a lot less enjoying in his current life.

That being given, he spent the whole day overthinking, overthinking and overthinking again.

Originally having planned on doing some extra studying, he couldn't help but look out of the window every minute and get lost in thoughts while listening to the pitter-pattering of the soft raindrops and watch the thick, grey clouds cover up the usually so bright blue of the sky.

And that was how he spent his day. Looking out of the window, thinking about how much confusion the universe had brought to him the last few weeks. His whole life had been turned upside down and mentally, he still didn't know how to process it. But days like these made him feel calm. Like everything was normal.

He also occasionally did some maths exercises, but that was kind of irrelevant right now.

So there he still was, lying in bed and still listening to the raindrops' soft scattering sounds on the roof.

As he looked outside, he came to realize the sky was pitch black. No single star, no moon in sight. Just pure darkness, like a dark hole trying to suck up the whole city. He tried not to think about such unsettling thoughts too much and grabbed a book from his nightstand to distract himself, 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief'. A book quite unfitting for his current mood yet possibly a good distraction.

But before he could open the book and let himself get dragged into the wild fantasy of Greek mythology and the complicared story of gods, half-gods and so on, he heard the doorbell ring shrilly.

Frowning, he checked the clock on his nightstand and saw the numbers 01:29. His parents must be asleep already, who would come and visit so late?

A burglar? A murderer?!

Very carefully with his heart beating wildly in his chest, he sneaked up to the front door carefully, internally preparing to scream if the person standing in front of his front door appeared to be sketchy.

As he opened the front door, his heart stopped for a second.

"J-Jungkook?"

His suddenly very wobbly legs made it difficult for him to maintain his posture, his lips parting and his eyes turning glassy.

Through the lamps dimly lighting up the porch, he could immediately recognize the other's familiar stature.

Jungkook's hair was wet and messy, his clothes were drenched in rain water and he was breathing heavily, his features sharper than ever.

"I love you."

For a few second, everything was silent. The only sound to be heard was the rain continuously falling, creating an even more dramatic atmosphere.

It took a while for Taehyung to regain his breath. He was just simply speechless.

It was as if he was glued onto his spot tightly, doing nothing but stare at the other boy standing on his porch with his mouth agape and his eyes widened.

"W-What--" He could suddenly feel himself getting pulled forward, out of his house. Jungkook was holding on to both his hands tightly, yanking the older boy forward.

"I fucking love you. You make me crazy. Stop doing this to me," he muttered. Despite his voice being extremely quiet, Taehyung could still hear every word extremely clearly, the desperation very evident. Every single word made his heart jolt and his legs even more unstable than before, it was like they were crumpling him up.

"H-How..." He was now close to tears, all his emotions surfacing and making him feel like he was choked, like he would never be able to speak again.

"I don't know. I don't know anything and I don't know how to handle it either. Or how to control it. But... sometime after you told me you liked boys, somehow I started thinking about you in a different way for whatever reason. I tried not to, but I did. That's why that Mark bitch pissed me off so much, because he was getting close to you and it made me furious.

"And because he obviously was a bad person but your heart was so good, I don't think you even realized. I was worried you were going to start dating so I tried to keep you away from him but obviously you didn't give in since he was your friend and you got pissed at me instead. Which I understand since I was a jerk. I didn't even know how much of an ass I was being because I loved you so much. And not even that I realized.

"That time when I said I had a crush on Jimin's girlfriend... I panicked. It was around the time I slowly started liking you that way and that feeling scared the shit out of me. I wasn't supposed to feel like this. Not for a friend. Not for a... boy. But I did and obviously I didn't have the guts to tell you so I thought of some random girl that was pretty cute and, well, she was the first one on my mind.

"It's so... crazy. When I wake up, all I think about is you and you don't leave my mind until I sleep again. Sometimes, you even appear in my dreams. When I see you, my whole body starts acting up. When you touch me, my skin feels like it's getting electrocuted. When we kissed... I felt fireworks. Literal fireworks. Nothing has ever felt so good.

"It was just like when I fell in love with Bora... Just much, much stronger.

I'm sorry I kissed you without your permission, by the way. I couldn't help myself, I'm so sorry. I was so worried after you ran off, you can't even imagine. I tried going after you first, but then I figured I should give you some space. But I don't think I can hold back any longer."

And Taehyung couldn't either.

"Taehyung, do you still love me?"

And with that, the blonde let his first tear drop.

"Yes, yes... yes," he whispered, his voice full of emotion. And next thing Jungkook knew, Taehyung threw himself into his arms, his arms slung tightly around his neck and his legs wrapped around his waist.

As he was caught off guard by the strong force clinging onto his body, he stumbled back a few steps and steadied the older boy by putting his hands under his thighs.

The two of them were now standing exactly under the rain as they had now left the area protected by the roof of the Kim residence.

Since they were now exposed to the wild, pouring sky, Taehyung felt his fluffy pyjamas wet more and more every second, making him gasp at how cold he now suddenly was. His natural instinct would be to jump off the younger boy and change his now soaked clothes.

But he didn't.

Instead, he wrapped his arms even tighter around him, locking eyes with him and connecting his forehead with Jungkook's, making the latter widen his eyes in surprise but then embrace the act of affection.

"Can we do it again? K-Kiss?," Taehyung asked, his voice hushed and breathy, sounding like a faded whisper among all the crackling and pattering of the raindrops.

His eyes glittering with countless unspoken emotions, Jungkook nodded.

"Fuck, yes." And he locked lips with the beautiful boy still clinging onto him.

The euphoric feeling did not change a bit. Both of them could, again, feel fireworks erupting from the pit of their stomachs, their lips fitting each other like perfect puzzle pieces.

The kiss was slow and passionate, neither of them caring about being drenched from head to toe and just continuing their purely romantic act. Actually, they were loving the way the rain kept moisturizing their lips so the kiss felt even more intimate.

And for many, many minutes, they kept kissing each other like this, maintaining their pace so it was quite slow and fully enjoyable.

And when they finally stopped due to a lack of oxygen, they started giggling until they realized that they would definetely catch a cold if they stayed out much longer.

"Jungkook, how are you going to get home? You're gonna catch a cold if you walk home!," Taehyung exclaimed as he jumped off the younger boy carefully.

They still remained close to each other, Jungkook's hands resting on the blonde's waist while the latter had his hands on the younger's shoulders.

"Oh, it's okay. I'll just run or something. Or... I could stay here, if you're okay with it?" He smiled cheekily, taking in Taehyung's puzzled expression.

"Oh my god, of course. But what if my parents see you? They--"

Jungkook shut him up by pecking his lips very shortly.

"No one will see me, I'll be stealthy like a Ninja. Unless... You want me to get sick?" He attempted to pout cutely, making Taehyung giggle and hit his biceps playfully.

"Of course I don't. I bet we're both gonna get sick anyways. Just don't be too loud, okay?" Jungkook smiled his adorable bunny smile and scrunched his nose in happiness, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's.

"Okay."
