Have you ever wondered how miraculous a mirror is. Just when I think of it, an image of magic is created. It's a fantastically magnificent thing. And I was looking at my reflection in this magical material.
Leaning closer to it, I stretched both eyelids of my left eye and peered into the eyeball. Moving it upwards, downwards, right and left, I came across the same plain hazel orbs. I didn't see them sparkling from any angle.
Do my eyes really sparkle?
"Josh! Josh!" I called out for my brother, loudly.
"Yes?" Came his echoing voice from downstairs.
Walking down, I rubbed my eyes to ease them. They were hurting from how much I've stretched them in order to see them spark. "Rebecca! Josh! I want to discuss something very important." It was important, wasn't it? It was a serious matter if it was related to my eyes.
"Yes, yes Sophie?" Rebecca came running as she spoke breathlessly. "Are you okay? You-"
"Sophie-Yes? What-happened-oh-my-god-Are-you-okay?" Josh spoke, impatiently his eyes full of concern. "Calm down guys! I'm not going to suicide again. Please don't act this way." I told them, shaking my head.
"Okay, then! I'm going. I paused my game for you. And it's not something important, so.....bye. " He said, walking away.
"I'm happy to see how much you love me!" I shouted so that he could hear. "Darling, you know he loves you right? He just acts that way and I bet he'll be listening to our conversation hiding somewhere."
"I know Rebecca. I know him." I told her, nodding my head, a smile forming onto my lips as I looked around for my brother.
"Josh, I know you are hiding. Come out baby." Rebecca said in a fake sweet voice.
Josh didn't come out.
"Joooaash!" Rebecca said in that same sickeningly sweet voice. "Urgh! Rebecca, can't you just even pretend that you don't know I'm hiding here? I look like such a gossip loving lady when I listen to you guys." Josh exclaimed.
"Don't listen then, Josh." I told him, shrugging my shoulders. "I can't help it Sophia. I just get so curious. Now what was that important talk? Curiosity is killing me." He couldn't stop jumping.

"Tell me honestly guys.....do my eyes sparkle?"
Josh just looked at me confused while Rebecca stared in my eyes. "Yes. Yes Sophie, your eyes sparkle. I noticed it the first day of my job. But since you started wearing glasses they are hidden. And people think it's a reflection of light. At first I did too but then I figured it wasn't. You have really unique eyes Sophie."
"What? Show me, show me! Why haven't I noticed yet? How kind of a brother I am? I don't even know my sister has magical eyes."
Magical? Always being dramatic.
Rolling my eyes I told him, "I don't have magical eyes Josh. My eyes just sparkle. And I don't even know if it's true or-"
"Who told you that your eyes sparkle?" Rebecca interrupted.
What should I say?
What should I say?
When will Lia come to use?
Lia. Well... she was my imaginary friend. Imaginary best friend actually.
"Lia! Lia just mentioned and I was so shocked.... I was like 'really? I never noticed that.' Even now I didn't see them sparkling. I don't know why you people-" She cut me of again.
"Sophie. You have really pretty eyes. When I saw them, I couldn't take my eyes off of them. I thought I'd be creeping you out this way, but still I couldn't look away. Your eyes were so fascinating. I really wish I had the same eyes as yours."
"Oh my god! I'm so going to tell my friends about it. They'll be so jealous!" Josh spoke excitedly and ran towards the living room. "Seriously Sophie. Your eyes are very beautiful." Rebecca whispered.
"Thank you. Now stop casting your evil eye upon me." I told her, covering my eyes which she replied with an eye role.
*******
"S-sssory." I spoke as I tugged the stray strands of hair, that had come out due to the terrible push, behind my ear.
"You must be! Can't you see? Even with those thick glasses?" She spoke, disgust lacing her words. I looked down at the ground. Why can't I just be invisible? "What if I pushed you?" She came closer to me and added, "like this!" Just as the words were out of her mouth she pushed me hard on the shoulder. My body collided with the metal lockers and I winced in pain, I couldn't keep a grip on the books and copies that I was holding and they flew out of my hand landing far into the corridor.

"Just so you know how to walk properly!" She pushed me again and this time I couldn't control my tears. The lockers didn't do any harm but I felt a twinge on my back because if those handles that were sticked to them.
Trying to stand straight I looked up and cried, "I-I said, I'm s-sssory!"
"Shut up! You bitch!" The blonde girl, which I assumed was her friend, slapped me, so hard my head slammed onto the locker and a sob escaped my mouth due to the throbbing pain it caused. They turned around and left me there. Sliding my back down the lockers, I sat down and sighed.
I saw a movement at the corner and quickly I turned my head to that direction. I saw the person I could never ever dream about seeing, but he ran away just when he registered the fact that I've seen him.

Isaac!
I lowered my head and stared at my legs, hot tears still flowing down my cheeks. It was lunch break so I didn't expect anybody to come there and I could cry as much as I can. You only have fifteen minutes Sophie.
Suddenly, I felt a pat on my shoulder. Startled, I lifted my tear strained face to look at them. My eyes widened. Again, I was shocked. You could easily guess. It was Isaac again. He bent down and grabbed my hand pulling it upwards. "Come on! You have cried enough. Lunch is going to be over soon anyways."
Lunch is going to be over soon....... That, made me stand up in a blink of an eye. Wiping my tears with the back of my hand I said, "Thanks!"
He shrugged and walked away. Quickly, picking up my books and bag, I walked towards the restroom. On my way I caught the sight of Carter and his girlfriend, Bella. Bella wasn't bad. Though she never stopped the bullying but never participated in it either. I liked her.
A frown etched Carter's face when he saw the sight of me. He kept his gaze on me as I walked towards the restroom trying hard to ignore his eyes on me.
Next was art. Art is the most interesting subject ever. It's the only subject I love. Yeah, obviously after English. These are the subjects from the help of which you can express your imagination, in forms of words in the case of English while in Arts it can either be writing, drawing, painting or sketching..... anything. I wish to be an artist when I grow up.
"Wow! What's the reason behind this cheerful smile?" Carter's voice startled me.
He is in my art class too? Noooo! I've never seen him here.
I didn't answer him.
"Why were you smiling so much Sparkle?"
So he doesn't even remember my name properly.
"B-bbecause I like arts andd M-my name is S-s-s-sophia." I told him without lifting my head from the sketch book. Thankfully he was quiet after that and I couldn't be happier. Whatever I tried to make didn't turn out well and it looked like a magnified micro-organism.
"Hahahaha! I thought you loved arts. OH MY GOD! What is this?" He said, lifting up my sketchbook, showing it to the class. Everybody bursted into laughter and I looked down at my feet. Could this day get any worse?
"This is so ridiculous! What were you trying to make?" A brunette guy asked.
"Oh My god! Look, this looks like a map." The petite girl from the corner exclaimed, further insulting my drawing. "To me it more looks like euglena....what were you making Sophia?" The guy I remember as Ben spoke. "No, no it's her face. Look, here's the nose...and the lips. I think this is an eyeless face."
My face looks that weird?
"Pass it to me. I'll make her eyes too!" Jenna giggled.
My drawing was being passed on and on and everybody showed their drawing skills on my paper. The girl that pushed me in the morning said, "Don't forget to draw the glasses!"
Slightly lifting up my head, I looked at Carter, my vision blurry. Tears threatened to spill out anytime. To stop any further embarrassment I stood up, taking all my belongings with me, I started walking out.
"Shit!" I heard Carter say, as I walked away.
