"I really did miss you Bev" he smiled
"I missed you too RayRay"
"I haven't heard that nickname in ages" he chuckled
It's been two days now since I've last seen Raymond at that diner. He's been over yesterday just just for a little while before going back to work. Today we spent all afternoon staring at the sunset.
He even put his arms around me, I didn't feel awkward but I didn't feel anything either.
Then to my surprise, my neck snapped around and saw Aqua with Allie being all cuddled up on the balcony.
To feel a little rage was an understatement.
But I had no say in it. Aqua was free to do whatever she wanted with whoever she wanted. What was I supposed to say? Don't touch any other girls until I figure it out?
The sight left me sick, not in a disgusted way. It just made me feel so many things at once, I wanted to poke both their eyes out and feed it to the whales.
So I cutted the conversation with Ray short. I don't think I'd be able to give him my full attention after seeing that.
So here we were, at the front door saying goodbye. I think.
"Because the last time I called you that, we were fourteen" I smiled, my hands gripped the door knob.
"Do you remember that day?" he asked with a wide smile
"Yes, yes I actually do"
"Sunmer's afternoon in my tree house, I told you that you looked pretty and you had the brightest blush. You said it was the first time any boy's called you that" He said
"I recall you being pretty bold that day" I chuckled
"We had a moment that day, then I leaned in..." Ray said, he smiled and leaned his face closer towards me.
I knew exactly what he was trying to do. I chuckled and shook my head, using my free hand to push him back slightly
"I'll see you later Raymond" I smiled
"Bye Beverly" he grinned and stepped away, I smiled and closed the door.
No, I'm not gonna do that cliche, back against the door and sliding down the door with a smile on my face because it was the

I sighed and walked through the hallways of the house to find the kitchen. Only food could ease my mind off all the bullshit that happens in the world.
My hands flung open the oak cabinets to find the beautiful, vibrant look of the barbeque potato chips.
"Love of my fucking life" I smiled, I grabbed the bag and pulled it open. The scent of heaven filled my nostrils.
I gripped a chip in my hand and smiled. I whirled it around my lips before propping it on my tongue.
"You like that don't you?" I smirked at the chip. What? Don't judge.
"Hi" A soft voice came from behind
"I wasn't doing anything!" I yelled. My hands dropped the bag onto the counter and I turned to face the person while attempting to shield my body from the delicious evidence.

"Were you... Talking dirty to a chip?" Aqua chuckled
"No. No I wasn't" I said nervously
"You're so cute, oh my god" she laughed. A blush found its way to my face
"Your boyfriend left?" she asked, I could tell the blankness in her voice
"He's not my boyfriend"
"He just might be" she whispered
"Come on Aqua, what about your girlfriend up there" I said with my arms crossed
"What girlfriend?" she asked
"Oh please. I saw how Allie was with you. She gave you those eyes. The kind of eyes you used-"
"To look at you with? Yes I know" she whispered, I felt my heart sink into my chest. Her eyes met mine for a second before she looked away
"So you're not together?" I asked
"What do you think?" she asked
"I... I don't know, it just looks so confusing. One minute she's kissing your neck and the neck minute you say you're just friends"
"I could say the same with you and your mans"
"He's not my! Ugh!" I groaned and rubbed my temples. My jaw clenched as the frustration ran through me
I guess Aqua seemed to sense this, she groaned and made her way over towards me.
I felt her hands rest on my shoulder as she gave me a few.. pats on the back?
"There... There.." she said awkwardly. What in the?
Laughter filled the kitchen. My head tilted back as the sounds escaped my throat at how awkward she was.
"How dare you laugh at me" she glared
"You're so sweet" I chuckled, I could see a pink shade appearing on her cheek. Ugh, even more cute.
"Come with me" she whispered in my ear. Oh-
"I'm... Um..." I stuttered. It was now her time to laugh
"No, I meant to follow me. Sheesh Bev get your mind out of the gutter" she laughed and stepped away
I rolled my eyes but a blush still stained my face. My feet found its way behind Aqua.
My eyes ran along the back of her body as I followed behind. She's gotten even more fit than when I've last seen her body. Her waist seemed more curved and her as-
Whew child.
Aqua pushed open the back door and we were met with the back yard that I was in a few minutes ago. I didn't even realize that it was dark. The sky was almost pitch black. She continued walking until we pushed past the bushes and was met with the beach.
"Mind joining me on a late night walk on the beach Ms Hills?" she asked in a light accent. I chuckled and played along
"Don't mind if I do Ms Aqua" I smiled and hooked my arms with hers as we walked onto shore.
My bare feet was met with the grainy sand. It wasn't cold but it wasn't warm either. We walked along the line of the shore, the water pushed and pulled as it slightly touched my feet. Aqua stayed far from the water. The second it got closer, she'd squeal and run.

I laughed at how adorable she sounded when she ran from the liquid.
"They'll get me!" she squealed
"No they won'tttt" I giggled
"Yes! Yes they will! They're just waiting for my little pinkies to touch that trap they have out for me" she glared
"I'm sure that your father didn't send the ocean to pull you back in so you could marry a man you don't love and live sadly ever after" I smiled
"You don't know that" she pouted, I felt my heart flutter.
My eyes locked with Aqua's, the cold breeze took her dark hair and flowed it behind her shoulder. The full moon of the night gazed into her eyes making them even more attractive if it wasn't possible. She held a shy smile as we stood there, shoulder to shoulder and arms locked. I couldn't help but lay my head against her shoulder. The familiar feeling rose within me when our skins touched.
"Tell me about Atlantis" I whispered
"There's not much to tell actually" she chuckled
"I don't care, tell me" I muttered
"Well, it's a city, breathtakingly beautiful with old Greek architecture but at the same time the patterns to the streets, to the buildings, was geometrical to the last brick. But it wasn't a ruin. The statues of gods and goddesses were perfect and the stone lions looked as if they might spring off their perches any moment" she said
"Wow, it's like a movie" I chuckled, Aqua smiled and locked her eyes with mine again
"It was the glowing that had me most hypnotized. There was no obvious light source, the sun's light in the day made everything come together. It was easier to make out all the structures in a steady blue light that hung about it in the shape of a dome. My father worked on a project for years until he finally made this weird orb looking material. It somehow only glowed in this night and we've used it ever since" she smiled
"It's like a sensor" I chuckled
"You could say that" she smiled
"Call Atlantis the ancient city. That's the way to describe it"
"What did you guys do for fun there?" I asked
"Fun. Hahaha" she laughed
"We don't do that"
"Why not?" I questioned
"My father was very particular when it came to my activities"
"Was he so strict that he wouldn't allow you to play a simple game?" I asked. The girl nodded
"Sometimes I'd look over the city from my room's balcony and see the small kids having a ball of a time with some corals" she chuckled
"What were they doing?"
"It's a game, you hit the coral with a stick and who makes the most bubbles, win" she smiled. I chuckled and raised a brow at her
"It's sounds boring but for a small child, it's fun" she assured
"I never had the childhood that most mermaids had. For me, it was always a Princess's duty to hold her reputation higher than her crown"
"What do you mean?" I questioned
"While other Mermaids swam around in the seaweeds, I was in my castle learning how to balance a book on my head" She laughed
"How is that physically possible?"
"I was supposed to learn how to move with grace, it was an early training for my wedding day" she said. Oh-
"Well, let me assure you. I won't let you go back to those people. You will always have a place here with me" I smiled, Aqua locked her eyes with mine again and we stopped in our place.
She turned to face me, our bodies were so close it felt as if they shared the same heat. Her chest pressed against mine and her green orbs stared into my soul. A smile appeared on her lips as she brought her fingers closer to my face.
My heart pounded rapidly as her fingers inched closer. She looked so beautiful under the moonlight, her beautiful always seemed to captivate me. Her smile made me felt, my knees went weak at the sight. I'm surprised I'm even still standing.
She cupped my face and her thumb stroked my cheek. The familiar electric charge ran through my body. I sighed into her embrace and brought my hands up to hold hers.
"What are you doing to me Beverly Hills" she whispered, her words left goosebumps on my skin. My eyes flung open back to meet hers
I furrowed my brows when I noticed her eyes had a slight shade of purple. It flickered for a second before disappearing completely.
She leaned closer, I swallowed a lump in my throat when her soft plump lips pressed against my skin. She left a lingering kiss on my forehead that seemed to burn.
She pulled back and my heart pounded against my chest again. My chest rose and fell heavily as she smiled sweetly. The electric charge ran through my veins. God I couldn't handle this feeling
"Good night Beverly" she smiled.
Her hands slowly slipped down from my face, it fell to her sides. I stood frozen in place as she took a step back. Her warm body was now missing. Her feet walked away.
What was I doing. What the hell was I doing?
And with that, my hands stretched out and gripped her wrist. She spun around with a puzzled look on her face. God what was I doing!
I bit my lips nervously as I pulled her back into me. She giggled when our chest collided with each other.
My hands gripped her my waist as I leaned in. My lips pressed against hers and I felt the fireworks erupt within my stomach. I moaned against her mouth.
Aqua cupped my cheeks and pulled me closer. Her bottom lip captured between mine as they moved against each other softly. A heat rose within me as I parted my lips.
Dear God, what was I doing.
