《Aquamarine (GirlxGirl)》Chapter 24

The highlight of Aquamarine's life today wasn't the first time that she drove on the mainroad or the crispy fries dripping with cheese in her hand. It was actually the feeling of a certain blonde girl's eyes on her.
As much as she tried to avoid the girl's gaze, she could literally feel it penetrating through her skull.
Allie kicked her feet under the wooden table everytime Aqua turned her face more than thirty degrees in Beverly's direction.
But she couldn't help it. Her smile made Aqua's day. It was as if she couldn't start the morning without it.
Have you ever been addicted to someone that you couldn't go a few minutes without hearing their voice?
Well there Aqua was, sitting at her table with cheesy fries down her throat and a twitch in her veins to snap her neck around.
"You better not stare at her" Allie glared
"But I wanna see heeerrrr facccceee" Aqua pouted
"Well, she's staring at you. That's something" Allie said as she munched on her burger
"She is?" the mermaid asked
"Yep"
"Well, what kinda look is she giving?" Aqua pouted again, Allie just shook her head and laughed
"Are you really gonna ask that?" she questioned
"Yes, she could be looking at me like she wants to stab a fork through my hand or she wants to braid my hair. Which one is it?" Aqua asked
"It's... You know what, why don't you check it out for yourself" Allie smiled
Aqua's neck turned slowly to see Beverly's eyes. A smile crept onto Aqua's lips. Beverly's eyes were green but not the kind of shade that's easy to describe. It was almost like they were both green and yellow at the same time, with blue creeping in around the edges as if it were trying to take over. She blinked and the beauty was momentarily covered by the shield of her eyelashes; naturally long and soft.
Raymond was so busy talking that he didn't even notice the intense tension between the girl he's crushing on and the girl his crush is actually crushing on.
Beverly's eyes fell down Aqua's to land on her soft pink lips, she sucked in a breath as she recalled the taste. A slight hint or strawberry mixed with watermelon, it was sweet but it was addicting.
Hell, she was on a date with a guy she liked for years but her attention was on a girl's smile.
Well darling, if he's that boring at holding a conversation, just imagine what he's like in bed.

Sheesh. Can't be me.
"And that's when I started to think I could make captain" Raymond chuckled
"Huh?" Beverly asked as she snapped out of her trance
"I'm telling you about when I made Captain" Ray said again
"Oh yeah, sorry" Beverly mumbled
"Anyways, let me tell you about this one time the guys on the team surprised me-" And with that, Beverly drowned his voice out again
Beverly rolled her eyes but kept her head low so he wouldn't see. She didn't want to appear rude but the boy had been talking about himself since they were in the car. And 90% of it was about soccer.
Wasn't the point of a date to talk about each other's interest and communicate. Not once did he ask her about her own personal life
The only time he spoke was when he tried to take her attention away from staring at Aqua and it was starting to piss her off.
"They were all like, Raymond you're literally the best person to talk to and I was like, I know" Raymond continued
"Oh wow, damn. Nice. That's interesting" Beverly mumbled all the while her eyes were glued to Aqua's.
The girl held her conversation with Allie, Aqua smiled as she dipped her fries in the hot cheese again.
She felt Beverly's eyes on her, the familiar green eyes were soft as they scanned over her body.
"Holy shit, Jackie?" Allie gasped
"Allie? Oh my goooddd" The waitress screamed
"Girl, how have you been" Allie smiled widely as the woman approached their table
"Excuse me, we were trying to order somethin-" a customer said
"Be quiet, I'll be back. Sheesh" Jackie rolled her eyes at the customer
"I've been good girl, work still been shit"
"I could see that" Allie chuckled, her eyes ran down the dark skinned girl's body. Her smooth skin looked so soft under the dim lights of the restaurant, her short skirt was teasing the red hair girl as she recalled the memories they had
"I see you're still looking cute as ever" Jackie smirked
"Your flattery will get you nowhere" Allie chuckled
"Why not?" Jackie pouted
"I.... Um, this is my friend Aquamarine" Allie tried to move the topic over
"Hi Jackie" Aqua smiled sweetly
"Hi doll" Jackie said, her eyes then went back over to Allie
"Ya know, Aqua came here to crash my cousin's date. Do you think you could help us out a bit?" Allie smirked
"Sure, who do I have to kil-"
"No no" Allie chuckled

"Let's make Beverly jealous"
"Why would she be jealous?" Aqua asked
"Because Jackie here is gonna be all over you" Allie smirked
"Ooo I like where this is going" Jackie said
"I doubt that'll do anything" Aqua laughed
"Trust me, just go along with it" Allie assured
"I swear if I get fired, your father needs to hire me as his secretary" Jackie chuckled
The dark skinned girl then drew her hands over Aquamarine. The raven hair girl eyed the woman's hands as it trailed over her own. A smirk pulled across Jackie's face.
"That mouth looks like it can handle alot" Jackie said loudly enough for the room to hear. Aqua contained her laugh as she tried to play along. A few customers glanced their way
"Do you have something to fill me up with?" Aqua asked aloud. A metal clank was heard throughout the room as Beverly dropped her fork
"Wow, your friend's wilding out over there" Raymond said
"Yeah. Deffinetly" Beverly said through gritted teeth
Beverly's eyes bored into the dark skinned woman who trailed her fingers along Aqua's arm. It burned, a burning sensation came without Beverly that built each second Jackie breathed air next to Aqua.
She watched as Jackie 'accidentally' drop her pen to the ground, she knew exactly where it was going. The dark skinned girl bent over and arched her back making sure to shift her skirt near Aqua's sight. Aqua smirked as she held her chin. Her eyes trailed over the woman's body as she came back up.
Beverly's blood boiled, she clenched her fist as her eyes landed on Jackie again. The woman leaned over to whisper something into Aqua's ear and Beverly swore she lost herself right there.
Her knuckles turned white as she gripped the metal in her hard tighter. Jackie slipped a piece of paper into Aqua's hands before she walked away. Aqua's eyes were focused on the woman as she left.
"Then we went on our third soccer game" Raymond continued his boasting. This time Beverly rolled her eyes without caring but Raymond was too busy wrapped around his own words to notice
Beverly took deep breaths in as she closed her eyes. Hopefully the anger would calm down.
This time, Beverly knew exactly why she felt like that. She was jealous. Jealous of someone else gaining Aqua's attention. She was angry at the thought of Aqua even touching the woman.
Hell, she was angry at anyone else wanting to touch Aqua. The pain crushed every bone in her body. Reality was sinking in and it was sinking really fast for the blonde hair girl. It was amazing how a date with a self centered boy was all it took for her to realize her own feelings
Aquamarine's eyes met hers from across the room once again. A smile tugged across the girl's lips as she waved at Beverly. To Aqua's surprise, Beverly waved back sweetly without any ounce of anger.
She looked at Aqua with such a soft expression. She couldn't even keep her eyes off the girl since she's entered the restaurant. She's somewhat addicted to everything about Aqua, her touch, her attention, her smile. Everything. She didn't even remember Raymond being in the same space as her when her eyes were on the girl.
Aqua winked at her from across the room and Beverly shook her head smiling. A feeling of proudness spread through Aqua when she achieved a smile from the smaller girl.
Aqua then blew a kiss to the girl, Beverly smiled and played along by catching the kiss and holding it towards her heart. Aqua pouted as she held her fingers in the shape of a heart. Beverly felt her heart flutter in her chest, she smiled and leaned her head against her palm as she stared at the girl across the room.
It felt like everyone disappeared for a few seconds, the room was just filled with a rising tension caused by the slight smile of Aquamarine.
"So then coach said I'm the best player he's ever seen-" Raymond said again.
"That was a really interesting story Raymond. Really was" Beverly faked a smile
Her eyes glanced back to the raven hair girl in the corner. A smile etched across her lips when she noticed Aqua spilled some sauce on her t shirt.
Aqua chuckled and brought a napkin to her t shirt, Beverly mentally cringed when the liquid smeared across the material even more.
And with that, Beverly stood to her feet. There was something flowing through her veins, something that she was tired of denying. The truth.
Raymond furrowed his brows as he watched Beverly walk away from their table.
Butterflies swarmed her stomach with each step she took. Her heart raced at the thought of what to do next but she was tired. Tired of hiding it away. Beverly was getting closer to the girl she knew she was falling her.
The short hair girl smiled as she approached the two girl's table. Aquamarine's eyes immediately found hers.
"Hi" Beverly whispered, Aqua chuckled at her
"Hi"
