The sound of rain was heaven to their ears, but this wasn't just a simple short. It was a storm, even better for the two girl's addiction.

The rain drops weren't soft patter that dropped when it felt like, this was rain with such an aggressiveness to it. The rain seemed as though it was trying so desperately to break the room and take the two girls away

The streets were dretched, the cold temperatures made Aqua giggle. Her fingers gently stroked her cheek as she applied her nightly routine cream to her face.

The girl was dressed in an oversized shirt that still rocked her hips, her sweatpants fitted so comfortably.

"Yes I'm safe" Beverly said, her finger then pressed the phones screen and placed the call onto speaker

"How was the show?" her mother asked

"It was amazingggg I got to meet Halsey!" Beverley squealed excitedly.

"Where's Aqua?" her father asked, Beverly glanced in the direction of her girlfriend who nodded

"Hello there" Aqua announced loudly, Beverly took the opportunity to apply her cream to her face

"Congratulations on your first show, I hope everything was great" the man said

"It was amazing thank you so much" she giggled

"I'm sorry that we couldn't have been there today but we'll make sure to watch it all on TV" he said

"That's really sweet" Aqua smiled

"Beverly, are you gonna stay there for the night?" the man asked

"Yes father"

"This storm's getting pretty crazy, keep in touch if anything goes wrong okay?"

"Will do Mr Hills" Aqua said

"Alright, goodnight girls" The man said

"Goodnighttt" the girl giggled before the call dropped

Beverly lowered her face to the sink as the water splashed onto her face, dissolving the mask she had on. Aqua did the same, she patted her face gently with a towel right afterwards

"Look at you, doing skin care stuff" Beverly chuckled

"Look at us already acting like a married couple" Aqua smirked

"A couple who exfoliate together, stays together" Beverly laughed

"We should probably check on the sauce" Aqua smiled

The two girl's made their way out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, Beverly's fingers brushed against the marbled counter before taking a seat on the high stool.

The sounds of aggressive rain beating against the roof brought a smile to her face, her grin grew even wider at the sharp and quick flash of lightening out the glass window.

"Taste it" Aqua said

Don't mind if I do-

Aquamarine turned on her heels and faced the girl with a wooden spoon that held sauce, she slipped in between Beverly's hips as she held the spoon out, Beverly smiled and tasted the rich red tomato sauce.

"Little more salt" she said

"You white people and your seasoning" Aqua rolled her eyes

"Excuse me?

"Have you ever eaten tuna pasta?" Aqua asked

"What now?"

"Pasta, chicken tuna and mayo mixed in one, it's amazing actually"

"Thank God I'm having spaghetti" Beverly chuckled, her hands found their way around Aqua's waist as she pulled her closer to her chest

"I'm trying to cook" Aqua chuckled

"Shh stay here" Beverly mumbled as she nuzzled her face into the girl's chest

"You're so cute"

"I know" Beverly laughed

Aqua returned to the pot and drained the noddles while Beverly finished up the sauce. After a while of finalizing, they mixed the two food and served it hot on a plate

"I swore they would have delivered the dining table today" Aqua groaned as she plopped herself down on the ground in front of the sofa

"I don't don't mind" Beverly smiled as she joined the girl on the floor

"This is storm is going craz-"

On cue -Of course- the lights go out. The girl's furrowed the brows when the room went pitch black, Beverly looked out the open glass window that had a view over most of the city, there wasn't a light in sight.

"The storm knocked the power out" Aqua said

Her fingers striked a match and placed it onto a few candles in the room. Aqua held the wax steady as she placed a few in a row around them and one in the center of the table. The rain serenaded on the roof and steadily drummed on the windows. The candle gave far less illumination than the meanest of electrical light bulbs, yet it is all their eyes could take. By the flickering yellow the room is dark, the shapes of the furniture discernible but the colours so muted that they are almost grey.

The girl's returned to their plates on the tables, they sat flat on the ground with their shoulders brushing against each other.

"Well this is romantic" Beverly giggled

"Wanna make it even more romantic?" Aqua asked

"What do you have in mind?"

"Never have I ever" Aqua smirked, Beverly chuckled softly

"That's so romantic, nothing better than finding out your girlfriend's darkest secrets" Beverly laughed

"I'm curious to know" Aqua laughed, the girl placed her plate onto the small coffee table before them then turned to face her girlfriend

"Ready?" Beverly asked

"Ready"

The two girls held four fingers and a thumb up as they locked eyes, Aqua smirked before going first

"Never have I ever hated someone" She said, both girls placed a finger down and chuckled

"Who did you hate?" Beverly asked

"Humans" Aqua whispered, her eyes met Beverly's for a few seconds

"Because of what they did to your mom?" Beverly mumbled

"They're the reason for everything going wrong in Atlantis, nothing was ever the same that day. Atlantis was so lively, no one was afraid to be themselves, now it's like being happy is a sin" Aqua mumbled

"I'm so sor-"

"Who did you hate?" Aqua asked to avoid the topic, Beverly laughed as she recalled the memory

"When I was seven years old, I had a crush on the math teacher" Beverly giggled

"Ew how old was he?"

"Thirty"

"Oh my God Beverly" Aqua laughed

"So for Valentine's Day I made him a card where I confessed everything" she said

"You did not!" Aqua gasped

"Yes" Beverly giggled

'I told him that I thought of him before I went to bed"

"ugh I'm cringing" Aqua groaned

"At the bottom of the letter, I asked him to be my boyfriend. The next day I came to school so confident, I even told all of my friends that I had a boyfriend.. Then when I walked into the class he was actually making out with my science teacher" Beverly said, Aqua erupted with laughter

"Noooo oh my God, no way" Aqua laughed

"Yes way" Bev smiled

"I hated him for breaking my poor little heart"

"So what did you do?"

"Told his wife what happened" Beverly laughed

"Oh my fucking god" Aqua squealed

"She's happier now, I think her wife just gave birth"

"What a fucking twist, damn" Aqua chuckled

"Never have I ever had a crush on a friend" Beverly said, both girl's placed a finger down

"Raymond?" she asked

"Ugh don't remind me" Beverly groaned

"Who was yours?"

"Back home, there weren't much mermaids to see. My father had rules that women stay home and men were basically allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted. Thankfully I had a female maid, she was really sweet but she was five years older than me. I guess because of the lack of women around, I kinda crushed on her for a bit"

"Did anything happen?" Beverly said

"I do believe it's my turn" Aqua smirked avoiding the question

"Woooowww you fucked the maiiidd"

"You wanted to fuck your thirty year old teacher, shut the fuck up" Aqua glared

"Touche" Beverly giggled

"Never have I ever been jealous"

"This is a shitty question" Beverly laughed, both girl's placed a finger down

"Do tell" Aqua wiggled her brows

"My kind of jealous or more posesssive, I've never been jealous with anyone else before until I met you"

"Don't I feel special" Aqua laughed

"There was the time when I saw Allie and you on the balcony, arms wrapped around each other and I swear I wanted to March up there and throw both of you off" Bevery admitted, Aqua's eyes went wide before she laughed

"So you wanted to kill me?"
