《WALKER》ELEVEN

The sun was busy setting and I clenched my jaw. I carefully looked up at the man who came out of the house. I realized that my eyes had become blurry from the swelling.
I froze up when the man came running towards us. He pulled me flush against his chest before covering me up with his arms. I breathed in the familiar cologne and a tear rolled down my cheek.
"Daddy." I sobbed out and he rubbed my back in a soothing manner before placing a kiss on the top of my head.
He took his shirt off before pulling it over my head.
"Who did this to you?" He asked angrily so I pointed at the men behind us.
"How dare you touch my little girl?". My dad roared in anger and the men scampered back in fear. My dad walked up to them before shooting at them and I closed my eyes.
After an endless amount of shots went off I felt two strong arms wrapping around me again and I broke down in tears.
"I'm so sorry my little rose bud." My dad said before placing a kiss on my forehead.
"Did they-"
"No- they didn't." I said quickly and my nodded. "Let's get you inside." He said before leading us up to the house.
As we entered the house I stopped in my tracks and my dad frowned at me.
"Where's mom?" I asked and just then she came walking downstairs. The vase that she was holding in her hands clashed to the ground when she saw me.
I ran towards her and she pulled me into the warmest hug. I sobbed into her shirt and she placed her hand on the back of my head.
"Rosaleigh." My mom said softly. "You're alive." She continued before placing kisses on my cheeks so I hugged her again.

"What happened to you?" She asked in concern while examining my face.
"It's Porter and his gang. I took care of them." My dad told my mom and she nodded.
"Let's get you cleaned up." My mom said softly.
"No, dad. I didn't come here alone." I said softly and my dad frowned. "Can we please go get her?" I begged and my dad nodded.
"I'm coming with you." My mom said before walking towards the door, she handed me a coat before putting one on herself and I followed my parents outside.
Maybe Faith is still in the car, or maybe she's gone.

Slime of Gluttony
_____ ___, a completely and utterly deplorable person. Lazy, apathetic, and unmotivated. He spends his time as a shut-in, wasting his life away doing nothing of importance. This is the life of the man, a life of no importance. At the impulse of desiring food, he left his small and cramped apartment. Regretting his actions immediately, he was left with the prospect of a complete panic attack due to the numerous amount of people outside at that day. However, he pressed on, determined to find some sort of delicious food to consume. Life had other plans for him. He gets hit by a car, and after hearing strange words from an even stranger voice, he dies. However, minutes, hours, maybe even days later, he awakes, his senses of smell, sight, and hearing robbed of him. Author's Note: This is my first story on Royal Road, so it might not be the best. Although, I hope you enjoy! I'll probably write around 2000 words or more per chapter, but on average a bit more. If you're wondering, the cover art is drawn by me, just in case you thought I wasn't giving credit to the creator. This story might often times lean more into the comedy side of things, but stuff can still get pretty serious at times, especially in the later chapters. The story isn't super dark or anything, but character death is of course going to be a thing. Who? Well, you'll find out, eventually. Also, I'll upload chapters on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you enjoy reading this little hobby of mine!
