"Bro so check this right, I'm coming up off of 57 and that's when I caught some damn sense realizing I gave that bitch all my money." Loke said as we all bust out laughing.

I tilted my cup of napoleon raw to my head glancing back over at Nia seeing her talkin' up a storm with Melissa and Gina.

Night had fallen and I looked at my watch seeing that's it was after 8 almost 9. I felt like I could've gotten fucked up cause I was bout to let Nia drive.

"It must've been good you dashing out cash like that." Candace said making him shake his head.

"Shit wasn't even good, I did all that thinking she'd let me go quicker." He said causing me to chuckle lightly I watched as the same nigga from earlier started to make his way over to the cabana and started to make conversation with Nia.

By the looks of it she obviously wasn't interested.

"Yo I'a be right back." I said as rest my cup down.

"Woah." I heard little comments behind me as I walked over and made my way over to them.

"What the fuck is your problem b?" I said shoving him hard causing him to fall back.

"Rah stop." Nia said getting up and coming over to me.

"Go in the fuckin' house Nia."

"Rah r-"

"Nia I said go in the fuckin' house Ight." I said yelling down on her.

"Babe let's go it's night anyway." Gina said grabbing her hand pulling her towards the house.

"Imma make this shit clear as day with fuckin' you. If I miss- nah fuck allat , if I feel you talkin to her I want you to know I'm coming fuh' you." I spoke as he got up.

"It wasn't een like that."

"Man ion give a fuck what it's like. Imma give your ass sumn that's gone make you think fifteen fuckin' times before you ever try shit like that." I spat.

"When you see her, you gone fuckin' remember me and you gone respect that. Let them fuckin' niggas tell you who the fuck I am." I said as all eyes were now on me.

"You wildin' over some bitch man."

I tilted my head towards him as I felt my blood boil, without a second thought I took my balled fist and slammed it into his face.

"Yo chill out man come on." Tez said pulling me by my shirt as Loke pulled me by my arm.

"Fuck off me!" I yelled pulling away.

"Ouuu sis he punched him!" I heard Gina say watching through the doors.

"What?" I said scurrying to get up off of the bar stool. I head over to the doors seeing Rah breaking free of Loke and Tez's grip and started to make his way over to the doors.

"Shoulda just left the baby home." I heard Candace make her slick remark standing on the other side of the door.

"Yo Nia getcho shit let's go man." He said obviously aggravated.

"Ok baby just calm down." I said going over to him wrapping my arms around his waist.

"I'm good let's just go..." he said a bit calmer.

"Ok gimme the keys." I said as the strong alcohol fumes piped from his body and he took the keys out of his pocket handing them over to me.

"Imma see you later." I said turning to Gina giving her a hug.

"Ok babe, y'all just be safe. And message me letting me know y'all got home." She said and I nodded.

"Y'all should leave out the front." she said gesturing towards the front door leading the way.

"Alright later y'all."

"Later." I called as Rah instantly took off his t shirt staying in his wife beater. I hit the alarms as he got in on the passenger side and I did the driver. I adjusted the seat due to my height and I watched him do the same carrying the seat way back.

Rolling my eyes, I turned the car on making the engine roar as he lit up his blunt.

Tonight was gonna be long.

After I had picked up Tae, Rah carried him to his room since he was already asleep.

I took me a nice long bath and now Rah was in the hallway showers. I tried my best to conceal what had happened with Rah to his mom. For some odd reason it was as if she knew something was off with him.

I heard the showers cut and moments later Rah walked out the bathroom completely naked.

"You ok?" I asked and he nodded grabbing his brief off of the ottoman.

"The cars gonna be here in the morning ." He said and I nodded.

"Ok." I mumbled as he got into bed next to me and laid on his back.

"We need to talk babe."

"There's honestly nothin' to talk about Nia." He said closing his eyes for a minute and opening them back up.

I sighed going up underneath him and laying my head on his chest. Before I knew it I was out.

The Next Day

After dropping Tae off Rah went to take care of some business at the barber shop.

I was at work right now getting ready for our one o'clock.

"I love this new set up you did Nia." Ms. Michelle said coming from the back.

"Thank you. I just figured since it's October I'd add a little fall feel to it." I said as she smiled nodding.

"I like that." She spoke as the phone rang and she held her finger going onto the phone.

"Hello Fords Bridal?" She said picking up the phone.

As if one que my phone rang as well. Seeing that it was my nanas number I nearly breaked my nail trying to answer.

"Hey nana..." I smiled sitting down.

"Hey baby how are you?" She asked

"I'm good nana and you?"

"I'm good baby where are you where's Tae?"

"I'm at work and Tae's at school." I said fixing the bouquet of flowers on the coffee table.

"That's good. How's Rah doin'?"

"He's doing ok. How are things on your side?" I asked turning all attention to her.

"Everything is fine on this side, so still and peaceful." She said as my mind drifted.

"I miss you so much." I said getting in my feelings.

"I miss you too baby."

My nana going away had to have been one of the most devastating things I've experienced minus my moms death. It was crazy how much I've missed her.

But this was the new life for both of us now.
