《》Chapter 4: Accident

I woke up on the couch in the Cullen's living room. I open my eyes to see Jasper smiling down at me. "Lets get ready for school." He said. I nodded and looked around. I was looking for Carlisle. Though, I don't know why. "Carlisle is at work. He said to tell you to have a good day and that you're welcome back anytime." Alice said a bit amused.
I nodded my head and stood up. "I'll have to thank him for allowing me to stay over." I said as I stretched. "You'll have plenty of time to do that. We plan on having you over whenever we can." Alice laughed. I smiled at her and grabbed my bag, heading towards the restroom to do my business.
I had talked to Bella before heading to the Cullen's lunch table. Edward was here today. Bella had asked me what I did to make him come back. I simply told her that he came here on his own. She had been pleased with my answer. She had missed me throughout the night, making me feel a bit guilty for leaving her. She assured me that she was happy that I had friends now that I could hang out with.
She knew that I was still as there for her as I was before I met the Cullen's, so she was fine with me hanging out with them. I am now seated next to Rose, who was laughing about how I almost killed Emmett last night for making a slight noise during the movie. "You scared the hell out of Carlisle. He thought you were about to beat me to death." Emmett laughed.
I smirked, "He should have been. I was going to if it wasn't at the part where they were heading on the train. That's the saddest part!" I exclaimed, making them laugh. Alice abruptly stopped laughing and stared into the distance. Everyone stopped and stared at her expectingly. Edward stiffened, glancing my way before looking over at Bella.
"Is everything okay?" I ask, worried about my unusually quiet friend. She looked over at me, looking very anxious. The bell rang for next period, making me even more anxious than before. "I left my clothes in the wrong laundry basket." She sighed. I snorted, "Alice, you scared me. It's gonna be okay." I laughed, walking away from the group.
Alice looked to her siblings with a worried expression. "What is it Alice?" Jasper asked, worried for what's gotten her so scared. "It's Bella and Genesis. A car, it's going to swerve out of control and slide towards Bella, Genesis gets in the way of her and take most of the impact. I can't see if they made it." She hurried out. The Cullen's froze. They had grown to be highly protective of Genesis and Bella. Bella is Edward's mate, and Genesis was they're closest friend and Carlisle's mate.

"When is this happening?" Rosalie questioned. Everyone was now on high alert. They couldn't lose them. "This afternoon. In the parking lot." She answered quickly. A teacher came and ushered them to class. They hesitantly went their separate ways, waiting for disaster to strike. Alice sent a quick text to Carlisle, warning him of his mates danger. She didn't know if he would get it, but he had to know.
The Cullen's quickly made their way outside the school. They had a plan. Rosalie and Alice were going to stay beside the cars as the boys went over to get the girls out of the way of the truck. They didn't want them to expect that they new this was going to happen, so the girls were going to stay at the cars and the boys were going to be near them enough to get them to safety without being noticed. It was fool proof.
That is, until they realized the events were going to happen earlier than expected. The Cullen's made their way out of the school to execute their plan, when they heard the screeching of tires. They watched it go down slowly. Bella was next to Genesis at the Bella's truck when they heard the car. Genesis grabbed Bella and pushed her to the ground in a kneeling position and got down and held her tightly to close off all her limbs from any collision. Genesis had her back towards the car and her body covering Bella entirely.
Alice and Rosalie screamed as they watched the van come to a stop as it hit the girls and the truck. The boys ran over as fast as humanly possible, trying to stop themselves from speeding over as much as they wanted to. The boys grabbed the van, pulling it off of the girls. They could hear Bella screaming, her hands shakily holding onto Genesis. Genesis stood up, somehow not knocked unconscious from the hit.
Genesis wobbled a bit before crouching down and picking up Bella in her arms. Bella held onto her sister and she sobbed into her shoulder. Genesis looked over to the driver of the van, looking inside the van intently. "Tyler?" She called over the screams of the frightened teenagers. "Tyler, are you okay?" She called again. Tyler poked his head out of the window, a bit of blood oozing down his forehead.
"Genesis, Bella I'm so sorry! I tried to stop," Tyler tried explaining. "Hey, hey don't freak out! It's okay, we're okay. We're alive." Genesis tried soothing not only Tyler, but Bella, who was still shaking and sobbing, hugging her sister around her neck as Genesis carried her. "Genesis!" Alice called out to the girl while her and Rosalie ran up to the two.

Sirens filled the air as the Cullen's surrounded the two girls. They couldn't put their feelings together. They felt guilty for failing to save them, worried at seeing blood soak through Genesis's shirt, and shocked that Genesis was so calm and worried about everyone else before herself. Genesis looked a mess. Her brown hair was down in here face, damp from sweat and tears. She had tears running down her face, but her facial expression was concerned. Blood was soaking through her clothes, but she seemed to be too preoccupied with those around her to notice.
Genesis turned to Edward, "Are you okay?" She asked. He hesitantly nodded his head. "Will you hold her?" She asked softly. He took Bella from Genesis's arms. After seeing Bella look up at her from Edward's arms, Genesis sighed softly with a small, breathy laugh. She then tumbled backwards, where Emmett caught her and picked her up.
"Get them in the ambulance!" A paramedic called to them. Edward and Emmett waisted no time in handing the girls over and making their way back to the girls. "We need to follow them!" Alice said hurriedly as she grabbed Jasper from his frozen spot and Rosalie from her shaky daze and dragged them to the cars.
The Cullen children were furious with the boy who almost killed their best friend and her sister. It took everything in them not to give the poor boy a piece of their mind. Alice and Rosalie were shaken up while the boys were angry. They were very protective of the fragile girls. But one thought went through all their minds.
How will Carlisle react?
Paramedics ran around the ambulance, trying to keep Genesis alive. Her breathing was shallow, but her eyes were still open, showing that she was fighting to stay alive. Bella was in another ambulance, actively wondering why she was there. The only thing that hurt was the back of her head, but nothing could compare to the pain she felt when she saw her sisters face contorted into pain from saving her life.
The ambulances arrived quickly, pulling the girls and boy out into the emergency room. A doctor was on the phone with Charlie, telling him of the girls arrival and condition. Nurses were running around trying to prep the highly injured girl for treatment.
Doctor Cullen had not yet been needed, for the nurses were still prepping the patients rooms. He had been notified that a car crash had happened at the local high school, but not of who was in the crash. As he waited for his cue, his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out to see that Alice had texted him.
Genesis and Bella are in danger!
We're on our way to the hospital. From what I can see, she's alive.
He wasn't able to take in the messages before screaming was heard, "No! Please, please! That's my sister! I have to go to her, please!" A girl screamed from outside one of the rooms. It only took a second for Carlisle to put two and two together. That girl was Bella, and Genesis is hurt.
A lot of emotions hit Carlisle at once. He rushed into the room that Bella was trying desperately to get into and froze when he saw her. She had a breathing mask over her face. Nurses were connecting her to tubes to keep her alive and stable. Her eyes were open. He could see her struggle to stay awake, but he could also see the determination in her eyes to live.
"Doctor, quick! She's losing blood. We're going to need to stitch her up!" Carlisle didn't hesitate, he sprung into action.
Genesis opened her eyes to see her friends and family gathered around her. She had fallen asleep after Carlisle assured her that she would wake up. Bella was still crying as Charlie held her close. Alice was holding onto Jasper, they both seemed to be terrified, Rosalie and Emmett looked the same. Edward was slightly near Bella, not close enough for it to be weird, but close enough to keep himself at peace knowing she was okay.
"Bella." Genesis called out. Bella sprung from her chair and ran towards Genesis. "Gen?" Bella said, holding her sisters hand. "Are you okay?" Genesis asked. "Am I okay? Are you okay? You saved me, remember?" Bella laughed bitterly through her tears. "I'm just glad I could save you." Genesis said. "You always have." Bella laughed again.
She always will.

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

Rise of the Desolate Star
“The soul is a sword. The body its sheath. Adversity is the hammer, while courage is the anvil. Oh, and son? Your tears and snot, they’re just the sparks that chip away at the impurities, like dungflies off a sow’s arse.” - Kendric Farrow Ever since he could remember, young Skyle Farrow’s body and mind have been hammered relentlessly like red-hot steel against the anvil of adversity under the watchful eyes of his father. All the while, Skyle’s heart and soul have been nurtured by the enduring warmth of his loving mother. Skyle has always asked why a simple farmboy would have need for all manner of skills like hand-to-hand combat, wilderness tracking, archery, beast taming, geography, history, politics, and even embroidery! The one vital question remains unasked, however: just what are his parents preparing him for? The invasion of a demonic horde? The advent of an age of war and endless bloodshed? The dark legacy of an ancient mystical power? A desperate struggle to save the lives of those he holds dear? The end of the world? It is a good thing he never asked these questions, for the answer would have been yes - to all of them. Now Skyle must take his first steps beyond the sheltered world he has known. He has been raised strong, but is he strong enough? Welcome to a tale of friendship, love, loss and heartbreak. It chronicles the growth of a young boy into a legend whose path will shatter the very foundations of the world. Expect a rich, detailed world with vivid characters. Each will pursue their own complex agendas due to realistic motivations. The MC will be overpowered, not through liberal use of plot armor but rather the deliberate application of arduous training, clever thinking, and nurtured talent. Battles will be graphic, victories will be bittersweet, and defeat will not mean the end of the world - for time waits for no one and life goes on whether we like it or not. The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
