《》Chapter 22: Again

Genesis sat at home with Bella, the two sitting in the same positions they had been in for months. Genesis was a bit more happy, but she knew that she would be sad all over again soon. Jacob won't be answering for a while and she knew it was going to ruin Bella again.
To be honest, She'd rather her be sad than hurt like she was. Genesis wasn't quite too sure how she was going to hide this forever. She hopes that Jacob will end up telling her so she could go ahead and ease that in. Though, Bella wouldn't be too pleased, would she?
Bella stood from her chair and pulled out her phone. Here we go. "Oh, hey Billy." Bella said. A look on confusion went over Bella's face. "He's sick?" She asked. Genesis sighed and put her head in her knees. This was for the best, right? This way, Bella won't get hurt like her and Emily. Bella hung up the phone and looked over to Genesis.
"Was he sick yesterday?" She asked. "He seemed fine to me." Genesis answered truthfully. She didn't want her to ask questions, because if she did, she would have to give away the wolves. She didn't want to lie to her sister again. Bella nodded and sat in her chair overlooking the front yard again. Genesis stayed in her little corner, thinking about literally everything.
She wondered what Carlisle was doing. She wondered if he missed her, or if he's already moved on. She wondered how Jasper was doing. She wondered if he still blamed himself for them moving. She wondered if Jacob was okay, if the rest of the Cullen's were okay, if Edward meant what he said to Bella. She thought about all of it. But then, her mind became fuzzy, and she fell asleep. That seemed to be the only time she did.

Genesis woke up to the sound of screaming in the room. She jumped up and ran over to Bella's bed. She held her head and put it in her lap, stroking her hair as she started to stop screaming. Charlie burst through the door, only to sigh in relief when he saw Genesis handling it. "I thought you guys were getting better." He said.
"Jacob was sick today." Genesis explained. Charlie nodded his head and shit the door, leaving them to themselves. "Why did they have to go? Why couldn't they have just changed us so we could be together?" Bella sobbed. Genesis stroked her hair, trying to sooth her sister's mind. "We're too young to die yet, Bells. He probably didn't want to pull you into his dangerous world. We're fragile compared to them." Genesis explained.
Bella soon calmed down and fell asleep again. Genesis leaned against the bed rest, careful of her back. She sat there and twisted her fingers through Bella's hair. Why did this have to happen? She wanted Carlisle. She wanted him to hold her and tell her that everything will be alright. But, no. She's here alone with her sister who's just as much of a mess as she is.
They were suffering again.
A week or so went by with the same thing. Bella would try and call Jacob, he won't answer, Billy answers maybe once or twice to tell her he's still sick. Bella was getting tired of it. So today, she grabbed Genesis's wrist and and pulled her up from her spot on the door. "Let's go." She said as she dragged her downstairs and out the door.
Genesis got in the truck with no questions. She honestly didn't care at this point. Her back hurt and she was mentally unstable, she didn't exactly have room for any opinions. Bella got in and started the truck, immediately heading towards the reservation. "He's sick, though." Genesis said.

Bella sighed, "I don't think he is. I think he's avoiding us." She said angrily. Genesis didn't say anything. If this gave Bella some piece of mind, then who was she to take that away from her? The rain started pouring hard, making Genesis a bit tired. She was about to fall asleep, before Bella pulled the car into Billy's and she got a view of Jacob walking around.
Jacob glared at the truck, not wanting to talk to Bella or Genesis at the moment. Bella jumped out of the car, Genesis following so she could pull her back if need be. "Jacob!" Bella called out. Jacob stopped and looked back at the two girls. "You cut your hair off? And got a tattoo?" Bella questioned. "Bella," Jacob started. "I thought you were too sick to come outside! Or answer the phone when I call!" She said.
"Bella, go away." He said. Bella had a confused look, "What?" She asked. "Go away." He repeated. "What happened? Did Sam get to you?" She accused. "Sam's trying to help me. Don't blame him." He said. "But, if you want someone to blame, how about those filthy bloodsuckers. The Cullen's." He said. Now Genesis was shocked. Sam told him? If he did, why did he already hate them so much?
"I don't know what you're talking about." Bella said. Genesis rolled her eyes. Bella was never good at lying. "You've been lying to everyone. But you can't lie to me. Not anymore." He said. "Look. We can't be friends anymore." He said. "Look, I know I've been hurting you. It kills me. I just, give me some time-" She rambled. "No. It's not you." He said. "It's not you, it's me? Really?" She asked. "It's true it is me." He said.
"I'm not good. I used to be a good kid, but not anymore." He said. As Genesis was watching this whole thing go down, she couldn't help but think how pointless it was. Jacob obviously liked Bella, so she knew he wouldn't stay away long. And even if he did, she'd find a way to stubbornly run back to him. She hated that. She knew that if Edward ever came back, Jacob would be tossed so quick it would make his head spin.
She had the poor boy on a leash. She knew that Bella didn't mean for that to be the case, but she wasn't ever going to give the poor boy a chance. Genesis was just glad he didn't like her. If he did, he'd be in for a hell of a rude awakening. Ever since his change, she only saw him like she did the Cullen boys. Genesis zoned back in when Bella grabbed her hand and pulled her towards her truck.
Guess they're back to being alone.

I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****

Hopefully after that, I will be able to mix both light-hearted fair with a gritty undertone to tell a good story
