《》Chapter 25: Vision

The Cullen's sat around each other, still depressed. They wondered if this was all going to be over soon. This was literal torture and none of them have smiled since they left. Carlisle still sat in the same spot, staring out the window. The others were worried about him.
He hadn't spoken in a month or so. He had given up on speaking because he couldn't bring himself to form a coherent sentence. They others didn't expect this type of behavior from him. He was usually so calm and collected, he was always the voice of reason. But now, here he was, a literal mess. His hair was darker at the roots, most likely oily from his lack of showers and the amount of times he's been running his hands through it.
Alice was miserable. She hardly got to see them anymore because they were hanging out with wolves. She couldn't see anything beyond their nights at home and and days at school. It was ultimately frustrating. Edward only comes back from time to time. He didn't look at Carlisle much, already hearing his loud thoughts. He knew Carlisle was miserable and so was he. But he was too stubborn to go back and, what he thinks, put them in danger again.
Alice had seen that Genesis had been hiding something from Bella even after her finding out about the wolves. Alice knew it had something to do with them, because she didn't see anything happen that Genesis would want to hide. Alice had told her family of this, and they weren't much help in solving the case. Alice was going to ask her once she saw her again.
Alice already knew they were going back. She had seen it. She just didn't know how. Suddenly, her eyes glossed over with an involuntary vision. She grabbed Jasper's hand, catching his and everyone else's attention. Carlisle glanced her way, ready to hear what she was going to tell them. Alice watched as Bella ran up to the cliff and Genesis call for her. She saw her slip and Genesis going to catch her and falling with her.

She saw Genesis giving herself up to push Bella up to the surface. She watched as Genesis stopped moving entirely and closed her eyes, floating in the depths. She then saw Bella follow suit, the waves too strong for her to save herself. The last thing Alice saw was the two sisters, motionless with their eyes closed before she went back to reality. "No!" Alice screamed. She jolted forward and onto the floor, screaming as she smashed her small fists onto the floor.
"No! No! No!" She kept screaming as venom welled up in her eyes. She eventually stopped and dry sobbed on the floor. Jasper did his best to calm her, but her overwhelming grief and emotions were making it hard for him to do so. All the Cullen's were at their feet now, waiting for her to tell her what happened. Even Carlisle was at his feet. He had never seen Alice this way about a vision. The last time he had was when he and Edward had to save Genesis and Bella. Then it clicked.
"Alice?" Carlisle whispered, afraid of what she was going to inform them. She stood to her feet, her hands clutches into fists at her sides. "They're gone." She muttered. Everyone froze. No one dared to speak. Alice was angry. She was pissed that Edward had to do this. He wanted to protect them. Now what? They're both gone.
"I can't see their future anymore." Alice gritted out. Rose's lip quivered and she hid her face in Emmett's chest. Emmett and Jasper had a look of shock and grief. Chandler held onto Esme as she shook in his arms. Carlisle stood still. He couldn't gather his emotions together. He was angry, shocked, distraught. He couldn't help but blame himself.

Alice looked to Carlisle and gasped in surprise. On Carlisle's face, was a single tear. He was so sad, so broken, that he shed a miracle tear. Alice's face contorted into anger. She grabbed her coat and sped out the door to the Swan's home. She was going to see for herself if the two were actually gone.
Carlisle wipes his face, pushing down his emotions with every bit of his strength. "Let's Go Home." He spoke. No one said a word. Jasper had a pained expression, feeling every emotion along with his own hit him. The Cullen's gathered their things silently. Carlisle had already left, wanting to be alone with his grief. He knew he couldn't be this way around the others. He had to stay with them. Genesis would want him to.
They all gathered out of the house, readying themselves to speed off when Edward showed up. The children looked at him with the most deadliest glare he has ever seen. "Are you happy now?" Rosalie seethed. Edward was about to ask what she meant when he heard their thoughts loud and clear. His eyes widened and he sped off from which he came.
He never imagined that this would happen. He thought that they would soon move on and that he would live out the rest of eternity in pain. He knew it was selfish. He wasn't the only one that would have been in pain, but he didn't know what else to do. Now he's lost both his mate and motherly figure. He's screwed up. He's never felt so alone and hurt.
He had only one thought.
He wanted to die too.
