《Because Of You》Chapter 18

Grace POV:
It was Thursday and my date with Arsen was in two days. Recently the both of us have been trying to get to know each other. During training I had gotten some more techniques down too with the help of Arsen.
I was sitting in my room when I realized that I barely had any clothes. Sitting up from my bed, I turned off Greys Anatomy that was playing on the TV and made my way towards Arsen's office.
I knocked on his office door and waited for the 'come in' before walking in. Arsen sat in his chair behind his big desk. He was looking over some paperwork and looked up when I stepped in.
"Hey, what's up." Arsen said giving me a small smile.
"Hey, I was wondering if I could go to the mall with Macy. I don't want to keep using her clothes and I need to pick some things up." I said.
" Of course you can go, here's my card, buy anything you want." Arsen said handing me over a black credit card.
Taking a step back I shook my head. "No it's fine, I have some of my own cash that I've kept in my bag. I'm fine with using that." I said refusing his offer. I hated taking things from people.
"Grace. You're my mate and it's my job to provide you what you want. Forget about the money that you have. Save that for something else. But from now on I want you to use our card. Consider it your very own." Arsen said, forcing the card into my hand.
Knowing that Arsen wouldn't budge, I reluctantly took the card. I walked over towards him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. That simple kiss made me feel so many things at once. It felt so right that it made me wonder what it would feel like to actually kiss him.
"What was that for? Not that I didn't like it." Arsen asked.
"My way of saying thanks to you." I replied.
"You don't need to thank me. What's mine is yours." Arsen said making my heart flutter.
"I'll see you soon, Arsen." I said walking out. He bid his goodbye as well as I made my way towards Macy's room.
I made my way towards Macy's room and walked in. I found Macy wiping her red eyes, and immediately rushed to her.
"Macy? What's wrong?" I asked examining her puffy face.
"Matt and I got into a fight, I saw a text from a girl that he had been talking to before we got together and flipped out. I didn't know what to believe." Macy said in a shaky voice.
"Aw Mace, okay try not to think about it right now. For now I have something to cheer us up." I said waving the credit card in the air.

"Shopping? Thanks Grace, I really need something to distract me." Macy said giving me a hug.
I hugged her back and shooed her off to wash her face and get ready.
15 minutes later we were on our way to the mall.
We went to a total of 9 stores and had so many bags in our hands. Arsen had sent a guard out with us just in case something happened. We visited Forever 21, Express, H&M, Hollister, American Eagle, Zara, Nike, and lastly Victoria Secret.
Macy and I were sitting down on a bench taking a break when I felt someone cover my eyes from behind me. From the tingles I knew it was Arsen. I turned around to see him grinning at me. I also saw a sad looking Matt behind him. I gave him a glare which he caught, he guilty averted his gaze towards Macy who was avoiding looking at him.
"What are you guys doing here." I asked pulling Arsen down to the bench with me.
"This one right here wouldn't leave me alone. He wanted to talk to someone here." Arsen said nodding towards Matthew.
Understanding what Arsen was saying, I pulled him up from the bench with me. Arsen grabbed my bags from my hands and stood next to me.
"I'm starving so we're going to head to the food court. Meet us there when you guys finish talking." I said, looking towards Macy.
She gave a nod and we went on our way.
"So what do you want to eat?" Arsen asked as we walked towards the food court.
"I really feel like some Chipotle. What about you." I replied.
"Chipotle sounds good." He said before intertwining our fingers.
We made our way to the line in Chipotle and ordered. We had just sat down with our food when a loud screech caught out attention.
A red head with long legs made her way towards our table with the biggest smile on her face.
"Arsen! Baby! I missed you!" The red head screamed, putting her hands on Arsen's arm.
I raised and eyebrow at her, but secretly my blood was boiling. Obviously they knew each other and from the look of it they weren't only freinds."
"Rebecca." Arsen said before looking towards me. I looked away from his gaze and took a bite of my food, but my appetite was already gone.
Who was this girl to Arsen? And why wasn't he telling her to leave?
It was quiet before Rebecca opened her mouth.
"Arsen baby, I had so much fun that night. Call me again, so we could have a repeat." Rebecca said before sliding her number on a paper towards him.
I just stared down at the paper. So they did know each other. One of the girls who he's done it with. I shouldn't be mad or jealous. It was before he met me, but it still hurt so much to know he's been with someone else. I had a boyfriend before but I had never done anything more than kiss with him. I was saving myself for my mate but obviously Arsen didn't care about that.

Before Arsen could say anything Macy and Matthew joined us at our table with their food. From the looks of it they had made up and were on good terms. For the time left there eating, I stayed quiet. Arsen had asked me some questions but I had only shrugged my shoulder or gave short one worded answers. Macy asked if I was okay and I simply nodded at her, not wanting to say the real reason.
After we all finished, I took some of my bags from Arsen and began walking out towards the parking lot, without waiting for him. I walked towards the car Macy and I came in and waited for her to come out. Not long after, the three of them made it to the car and stood there.
"Grace you're riding with me." Arsen said pulling out his keys from his pocket.
"I'd rather ride with Macy, no thanks." I replied glaring at him.
He looked taken aback for a second before he walked towards me. "You're riding with me Grace. You can come willingly or we can go the hard way." Arsen said staring at me.
I took a step back into the car and leant against it. That should give him the answer.
"Okay you asked for it." Arsen said before I felt myself being picked up and thrown over a shoulder.
"Argh Arsen! Put me down asshole, I don't want to ride with you." I said pounding my fists on his back.
He ignored my yells and put me into the passenger seat of his black Lamborghini. He buckled me in before walking to the other side of the car and getting in.
I crossed my arms over my chest and huffed.
"Grace." Arsen called.
"Grace." He said again.
I didn't answer. After that Arsen continued driving. I noticed we weren't going towards the pack house and were farther from it.
"Where are we going?" I asked, still glaring at him.
"Somewhere." He replied vaguely causing me to become even more irritated.
After driving for about five more minutes we stopped in front of the stream that I first was at when I entered his territory.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked but Arsen simply ignored it and got out of the car.
He came over to my side and opened the door. He offered me his hand and I stared at it before pushing it out of my way. I got out of the car on my own and began walking towards the stream.
Arsen came up next to me and sat down. We both sat in silence before he broke it. "Rebecca isn't anything to me. She never was and never will be."
I just stared at him. He looked towards me and grabbed my hand. "I was at a bar one night and I was beyond drunk. We only went as far as making out but she always exaggerates things more than they actually are. I've done some things but I want you to know that they don't mean anything to me." He said sincerely.
I believed him fully because his voice never once changed when he was talking. It sounded genuine and I could see the truth in his eyes.
I nodded my head. "I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions. It's just when she said that I thought..." I left off.
"I'm all yours babe, no need to be jealous." Arsen said playfully.
"Shut up. I was not jealous." I growled back at him playfully.
"Sure." Arsen said.
Before I knew what I was doing I pushed Arsen to the floor ad jumped on top of him so that I was straddling him. He was lying beneath me laughing.
I moved closer to his face for no emphasis. "I. Was. Not. Jealous!" I said.
After saying that I realized the intimate position we were in. Me on top of him. Our faces centimeters apart.
I suddenly saw Arsen moving his head up towards mine. I slowly moved mine down too. Our lips barely grazed each other's before a cell phone ring blared off.
The loud ringing caused us both to jump away from each other. I quickly got off his lap while Arsen got up and dug around in his pocket for his phone.
He gruffly said 'hello' and listened to what the other person had to say. He mumbled an 'okay' and turned off.
"We should get home. It's getting late." Arsen said offering me his hand.
I took his hand and brushed myself off. I looked up only to find Arsen staring at me.
"You're so beautiful." Arsen said causing me to blush. He took my hand and led me to the car.
We drove in silence the rest of the way home, our hands intertwined, as we wore goofy smiles on our faces.
-*-*-*-*-*
Dang, that was quite the chapter.
Lots of more drama to come. Did you really think Arsen and Grace had it that easy?
Nope. Muwahahaha.
Look out for the next update!

This is the story of one such weapon. **Author's notes - I will be posting this on other sites as well such as SH, AO3 and others as I find them. **About this story: This was only intended to be a one off story that is connected my much larger Star Wars fanfic novels, so the first chapter was huge. I have been absolutely delighted to see such a positive response to this (On Scribble Hub) and have decided to continue Talo's story. I have several ideas about this and will be twining her story into the novels as I figure it out. I am very much a Pantser so I have no idea how this will play out. I hope you enjoy the ride as we explore these concepts.
