Evie's POV

"Please calm down Eve, you're going to burn a whole in the ground with the pacing." Ashton put his hand on my shoulder.

"Do. Not. Tell. Me. To. Calm. Down." I growled at him. Yes, I was pacing, but that was my little cousin he had. Well not that little, I mean she's 19, but still. He got to my family, MY FAMILY.

"Okay, okay, sorry you're right. But we will get her back." I signed and put my head on Ashton's chest.

"I know, but I'm worried. It has been 2 hours since we heard anything." After I called Alex, we tried tracing the call, but it was no use. The phone was either turned off or broken, so there was no signal anymore. We even sent out scouts to look for her, but I just had a picture, nothing with her smell on it, so that was no use either. So now we were just waiting till we heard anything, and till Alex would arrive in the morning. Tomas and my dad were also trying to help, by gathering all the information we had on this Marco. Apparently, he lived just outside of the border, but had a huge following of rogues, so we couldn't just go over there, that why we were still waiting for Alex. We also finally put a face to the name, and he looked like the creep he was. He had a huge scar of a claw mark on his face. We also learned that he lost his mate a few years ago, which made him mad. Not mad as in angry, well that too, but mad as in crazy. For some reason he now thinks I should be with him, and we still don't know why. What we do know, is that Lili is not safe with him.

"Come on, why don't we go to bed, it is no use to wait now. We have can go look further tomorrow morning when Alex arrives and with the daylight." I nodded as Ashton broke the silence, I wanted to protest, but knew he was right. I walked over to our bedroom and changed in my pajama's, not even caring that Ashton was in the room. After changing I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, as I looked in the mirror, I saw silent tears streaming down my face. "It's going to be alright, okay?" Ashton hugged me from behind and gave me a kiss on the side of my head. I leaned into his touch. I don't know what I would do without him now. He is my comfort; without him I would probably have broken down by now.

"Thank you." I whispered, after we were done brushing our teeth.

"What for?" I looked at me through the mirror.

"Just for holding me together." He gave me a small smile and took my hand as we walked over to the bed. He held up the blanket for me to get in bed, once he tucked me in, he went over to the other side of the bed and got in himself. I rolled over to him and laid my head on his chest.

"Goodnight love, try to get some sleep." He said and gave me a kiss on my head.

After a rather restless night, where I kept twisting and turning, I finally got out of bed, when the clock finally said a normal time, well sort of, 5 am. I went over to the bathroom and took a short shower. After getting dressed, I saw Ashton looking at me, creep.

"Just admiring the view." I heard Ashtons voice in my head. "That is still weird." I laughed.

"Well, it made you laugh so mission accomplished." I frowned, thinking about how Lili must be feeling now.

"Now, get your lazy ass out of bed, the sun in rising so we are not wasting any more daylight." Ashton got out of bed and walked over to me in just his boxer shorts. Damn he sure is a view for the sore eyes.

"Thanks babe, you are beautiful as ever." He mind linked me and gave me a kiss.

"Gross, morning breath."

"Yeah, well just get used to it already, I want to kiss my mate, first thing in the morning." He kissed me again, but this time a turned my face so he kissed my cheek. "Hey not fair." He pouted.

"Get dressed." I shouted as I walked out of our room.

When I got downstairs, there was nobody there yet, so I decided to make some breakfast myself, not wanting to wake up anybody else. Half an hour I was finished making some sandwiches, bacon, sausages and eggs and some coffee and tea.

"You know you don't have to do that right?" Brianna laughed as she walked downstairs but stop laughing as soon as she saw my face. "I heard what happened, how are you feeling?"

"Like shit, how would you feel when your family member was abducted by a psychopath?"

"Like shit. I'm sorry, but we are going to get her back. Even if we have to kill all the rogues to get to her, I promise you that."

"Why? Why are you this invested?"

"Well for one because we are kind of friends now, at least I hope so. And two, I kind of feel that I still have a lot to make up for, and kind of as a thank you for saving me the other day." Brianna laughed nervously.

"Thank you."

"No problem, Luna." We both laughed.

"What are you laughing about?" Ashton asked, as he walked into the kitchen. "Damn Eve, did you cook again?" I nodded. "I missed your cooking." He kissed me. "Good morning Brianna." He nodded in her direction, he was still cautious with her, always keeping his distance, not wanting to give me the wrong impression.

"Good morning Alpha." Yeah, she did the same, not wanting to give her mate Malcolm the wrong impression. "Bye Evie, I'll talk to you later." Brianna said and walked away.

"So, at what time is Alex coming?" Ashton asked me, while eating his breakfast.

"He should be he-" I couldn't finish my sentence.

"Who said my name?" Alex barged into the room, with Dylan hot on his tail and Maddy by his side. "There is my favorite little girl." Alex picked me up and pulled me into a bear hug.

"Put me down, you idiot." I laughed; I saw that Ashton was once again holding himself back from attacking Alex. "Hi Dylan and Maddy, thank you for coming." I gave them a smile. Maddy walked over to me and gave me a hug.

"Of course, I know my brother is an idiot, but we will always be there for you." She laughed.

"Hey, I heard that." Alex slapped the head of his sister and Dylan growled, but not in a threatening way, not wanting his mate to get hurt but also not wanting his Alpha to get mad (not that he would get mad).

"You were supposed to." She punched his arm.

"Hi Alex. Dylan. Maddy." Ashton and Alex shook hands and nodded in Dylan's and Maddy's direction. Let's go to my office." Alex, Dylan and Maddy followed us.

"Kris, can you and Josh come to Ashton's office?" I mind linked Kristin.

"Sure, we'll be there in a minute or so." Kristin replied, and Ashton nodded in my direction, I guess he got the message.

"You accidentally sent your message to all of us." Ashton snickered and I frowned. "Don't worry, you will get the hang of it."

"Why the long face?" Alex asked.

"I still don't get the whole mind link thing."

"It's okay, you will learn. Anyway, what is the last status of Lili's disappearing."

"She was kidnapped, she didn't disappear." I growled. "But the last we heard, was what I told you yesterday." Ashton put his arm around me, to comfort me.

*Knock knock*

"Come in." Ashton yelled. The door opened and my parents walked in the room.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked and walked over to give them a hug.

"Did you forget that we still live here in Lupus Harbour?" my mom replied and yeah, I kind of did. "Anyway, we heard what happened to Lilianna, and she is our niece, so we came to help." My mom handed me a couple of shirts. "These are hers, maybe they can help."

"Thanks mom." I gave her a smile.

After discussing what we were going to do, Ashton, Alex, Dylan, Maddy and drove over to the restaurant she last mentioned. Josh stayed behind, with Kristin, to keep us informed of what was happening. We knew this would be a time to attack for Marco and his army of idiots. Once we were at the restaurant, I handed out the shirts my mom gave me earlier, so we could recognize her smell and track her. I tried my best but couldn't find the scent, neither could Dylan and Maddy, but Ashton and Alex caught it almost immediately, probably because they were alpha's, and all their scenes were better than ours.

"Come on this way." Alex said when we weren't going fast enough. He had been on edge ever since he caught her scent. "Jesus, can't you guys hurry up." After a few more miles, we got to an abandoned lodge in the woods, seriously can he be any more obvious.

"Okay listen up, we are probably walking into a trap, but we have to get her out of here. So, Alex, Dylan and Maddy you take the head entrance as a distraction, while Ashton and I take the back entrance to get her out, okay?" They all nodded.

Ashton and I went over to the back entrance and waited for the guards to leave. Or better yet to walk into our trap and probably their deaths. We heard the crashing sound of the front door being broken into.

"What the hell was that?" One of the guards said.

"I don't know, stay here, I'll check it out." As one walked away, I quickly got to the other one and twisted his neck.

"Damn babe, remind me to not piss you off." Ashton said through our mind link, not wanting to make our presence known.

"Not now." I replied, wanting to concentrate. We walked into the room and looked around.

"Please, just tell me what you want? I don't know anything, please." I heard my little cousin cry, and followed the sound, which led to a room, where Lili was tied up to the wall.

"Oh, but you do, you see that cousin of yours, Evie, she is mine. And that guy she's with, stole her from ME. And you know what happens when someone steals from me?" I saw Lily shaking her head. "I will do anything to get it back, ANYTHING." He shouted, which made Lily cry even harder.

"But what does that have to do with me?"

"Oh, you see, your cousin will do anything to get you back. Isn't that right Baby." Marco turned around and looked at me.

"I swear to the moon goddess, if you touch her again, you will lose that hand." I growled; Lily's eyes went wide at the sound.

"Evie, what is happening?" Lily asked.

"I will tell you everything later okay." I turned my head back to Marco. "We're here, why do you even want me? You have a mate out there, which is not me."

"YOU ARE MY MATE" He growled. And yeah, I kind of had enough of this talk, so I took my gun, that was hidden in the back of my pants and shot him in his shoulder. "FUCK." He held onto his shoulder with one hand while grabbing Lily's neck with the other. "One wrong move and she's gone." I looked at him, but what he didn't know, was that while I shot him, Alex got into the room and was now standing behind him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Alex growled, and put a gun to his head. "Let the girl go."

"FUCK THIS SHIT." Marco growled and scratched Lily's neck, in one swift motion I shot him between his eyes and ran over to Lily.

"Lily!" I screamed, I kneeled down next to her and took off my sweater to try and stop the bleeding.

"Evie?" She cried.

"Don't talk okay, you're going to be fine." I cried. "Do something." I yelled at Ashton and Alex. Alex was looking at the scene dumb folded.

"Mate." He whispered softly.
