I could feel someone's hand holding mine and saying something but it was all just ringing in my head. I couldn't process or fathom a word. With a lot of effort and struggle, I opened my eyes and closed them immediately from the intensity of the light. I heard some shuffling and then the light was dim. I looked up and saw Caro smiling at me. I extended my hand and stroked his cheek. "The beard makes you look hot" I whispered from the roughness in my voice and smiled.

He brought me a glass of water and I drank it. He made me sit comfortably and embraced me. His arms protectively around me encircling my body and releasing all the warmth, making me feel safe and secure.

"What happened?" I asked and he looked at me wide-eyed. Behind him, at a distance, there was a guy standing.

"Silas, how are you?" I smiled up at him and he looked at Caro wide-eyed and left the room.

"What?" I turned to him.

"You don't remember anything?" he asked and rubbed my knuckles with his thumb.

"About what?" I asked and smiled at him.

Why was I here? Did something happen? But I had no pain anywhere except my head hurt.

We both turned and saw the doctor coming inside. The old doctor who treated me previously.

"Hell, ma'am. How do you feel?" he asked and checked the heart rate monitor.

"Hello, doctor. I feel fine except my head hurts. What happened?" I looked up at him.

"Oh, nothing ma'am. You just fainted because you didn't eat properly. Nothing to worry" he smiled at me and both the guys looked at him, more like glared.

"But I don't remember anything like that happening. We had our dinner together, right Caro?" I turned to him.

"yeah we did but-" he paused and looked at the doctor.

"Sometimes it happens. Maybe the sun was too hot and your body couldn't handle" he said and checked my wrist.

"But I don't remember going out." I shook my head.

"Ma'am your vitals are all okay. You just need to eat healthily. We'll run some scans and get back to you. Any other questions?" he asked and Caro immediately answered.

"No" I wanted to protest and question what had happened, but I stopped. Maybe the balcony sun was high and I could still see the sharp sun rising irrespective of how cold it was previously.

"I'll be back with all the fruits, hmm?" he asked and pecked my lips before leaving.

"Silas, sit" I motioned him to the chair and he sat hesitantly.

"How how do you exactly feel?" Why was he nervous?

"I'm fine. I promise. Loosen up, sil" I smiled. He nodded and turned to look somewhere else. It was so awkward. Why was he behaving like that?

After them behaving like that for the next few days, I got discharged. Finally, I'd be home. It was fun knowing I'll ask for cuddles and he'll give me all day. There were some scans doctors did and nobody told me anything, except - it was for better.

"Careful," Caro said and made me sit on the couch.

"Here" he handed me the glass of water and I gulped it down.

"I want cuddles" he looked at me amused and spread open his arms. I ran into his embrace and he picked me up taking us to the room. Our room.

"What are you thinking?" he asked after a few minutes of stroking my hair.

"The event?" I said looking up at him.

"Cancelled. There will be one after a few days don't ya worry, woman" he answered and kissed me.

The whole day we cuddled and were far away from all the worries. The scans were all fine and the relief on his face was something. So now I could do anything. Which brings me to the present of him having his face between my thighs ad teasing me.
