Twenty four hours have passed with Artemis still asleep. Caspian was extremely worried for his new wife however Navene was adamant that she was okay and that this is normal for her healing. It did not put his mind at ease though... Not until he gets to peer into those metallic pools he has come to love. The doctor attempted again this morning to examine her but the moment he reached for her, the barrier once again made an appearance.

Everyone was mesmerized by her new ability. All.. but one. Navene was extremely cautious about how he answered the questions he was given. Vatalanie would refuse to leave Artemis' side. She has yet to leave the room except to relieve herself and run straight back. She is acutely aware that this is the most vulnerable state for her friend and now her child. She gave anyone she did not recognize a warning growl upon arrival in the chamber to stay back.

The king and queen were still astonished by their daughter in law. They did finally speak to Caspian to find out what all has happened. The king was furious to find out that their were hunters poaching so close to his kingdom. The queen was shocked to learn that Artemis gave the dragon her entire self to help save her. She is a true protector to all.

The wiggling of the silver eyed beauty alerted Vatalanie. Lifting her head up she sees Artemis attempt to peal open her eyes. Vatalanie keeps her eyes trained on her friend. After a few minutes of struggling, she finally gets them open to only see a blur. Blinking repeatedly she finally can see evaluate where she is at. Her fingers gingerly running across the silk of the sheets. Feeling pressure on her she looks down to see all the pack laying asleep against. Vatalanie is the only one awake. Her eyes locked upon Artemis. She barks telling the others to move back. They all move attentively sitting around her.

Artemis smiles slightly until a wave of dizziness strikes her making her relax back into the pillow. The door burst open as a frantic Caspian runs in. His chest feeling a strong pull towards her awakening. He was having dinner with his family when he felt the urge to come back.

Vatalanie sees him striding towards them so she jumps down giving him room. The pack of wolves following. Caspian makes it to her capturing her face in his palms. The metallic eyes blinking to focus on him. Caspian smiles and laughs seeing her eyes finally opening. His lips coming down to kiss her forehead as he thanks the heavens for bringing her back.

Artemis sighs feeling warmth spread through her by the contact. The tingles electrifying her skin as she peals her eyes open to focus on her beloved.

Caspian's eyes sparkle hearing her voice dance in his head.

My queen

He leans down slowly and gently places his lips to hers. The flames licking at his lips. A knock at the door pulls them away. The king, queen, princess and Navene coming into the room to greet her.

"Ah Artemis, thank goodness"

The queen comes over practically shoving her son aside to kiss her forehead. Artemis blushes at the love and support she is receiving. Turning she sees Navene studying her. She knows what he is thinking and nods to him. The family all sees the movement glancing to Navene before returning back to her.

"May I have a moment with Caspian?"

Her voice is rough and cracks but everyone understood once again leaving the room. Caspian sits beside her on the bed taking her hand into his own. Bringing it to his lips kissing each finger.

"You terrified me love... And you continue to have new abilities-"

"New abilities?"

Artemis scrunches her eyes in confusion while Caspian gently chuckles. He is about to speak when a soft knock resognates through the room. Turning to the door, Caspian debates whether to ignore it but decides against it aware that his parent's are outside the door. He pecks her lips before telling whomever to enter.

The doctor who has come twice before steps in very timidly. To Artemis, the man appears to be petrified. She feels her muscles tighten by the off look in his eyes. Caspian feels the rigidness of her and rubs her arms reassuring her that he is here to help. He walks over as the wolves continue to glare at the unknown man. He lays his bag to the side while the King and Queen reenter to stand by the door.

Artemis leans more into the pillow the moment the doctor hovers over her. Her body becoming enveloped by a light blue film. Her eyes study it for a moment no longer paying attention to the man. He takes a deep breath standing back up. His hands tightening into fist as his frustration gets the better of him.

Caspian watches as she slowly reaches up to touch the barrier. Her fingers dancing between the two layers while she studies it.

"I told you love... new ability."

At this Artemis snaps her eyes to him before her hand goes to her stomach. The queen gasp seeing the movement making all eyes turn to her. Artemis' eyes pleading her not to say anything while the King waits expectantly.

"My queen, what is the matter?"

"No-Nothing my love... I just find it fascinating!" She says gesturing to the blue bubble. Artemis sighs a breath of relief while the men continue to gaze at her curiously. The doctor turns back to Artemis waiting for her to lower the shield.

"Princess, I need you to lower this... shield so I may check you over."

Artemis looks to the man but feels helpless. It is not her that is controlling this, she can not stop this even if she tried.

"I apologize however I can not. Thank you for coming but I am well."

The doctor turns to the king waiting for further instruction. Casden stands their battling himself before a tug on his arms makes him look to his wife. She nods telling him to let it go. The king concedes telling the doctor he may leave. The man bows before making his exit. The moment the door is closed, the bubble disappears. She sits up as everyone's eyes remain on her.

"My husband, let's give them some time. Come... walk with me"

The king follows his wife who leads him from the room. Analee turning to wink at Artemis before exiting. Caspian furrows his eyebrows in confusion wondering what that was about.

"Caspian, I need to tell you something." At this he turns back around to Artemis giving her his undivided attention. His eyes looking so deeply into her own he feels he could get lost forever. She takes a deep breath allowing her chest to rise and fall. "I am with child Caspian..."

The prince freezes as her words finally register in his head. His body going momentarily still before he grows more confused.

"But... how would you-"

"The pack-"

She begins to speak but her voice cracks and she reaches up rubbing throat feeling it dry. Caspian reaches for a glass of water on their desk before bringing it to her lips. She takes a sip before relaxing back.

The pack can sense the change

He nods his head looking to the wolves who are still standing guard by the bed. He turns his attention back to her.

My king, It is not my ability that was discovered

His eyes go wide looking to her stomach as he splutters over his thoughts.

"Your telling me th-that our baby has powers?!"

He looks to her as if she has grown to heads. First she says she is pregnant when they had only consummated two nights ago. Now she is stating that this child has powers. Artemis realizes how hard this must be for him to believe. She reaches forward cupping his cheek allowing her thumb to brush over his cheekbone.

"This can not be possible Artemis"

His words sounding breathless and unsure even to his ears. He looks up to see her eyes watery. The image shattering his heart. He is quick to gather her in his arms pressing her head to his chest while cradling her.

"I didn't mean that Artemis, I am sorry"

Artemis sobs in his arms worried he will reject her. The fear rolling off of her allowing Caspian to feel it. He continues holding her saying sweet nothings into her ear.

Ar-Are you rejecting me?

Caspian whips his head down making his eyes lock with her red stained eyes. He searches her eyes for any sign of her joking to not find any. He realizes she truly believes he is turning away from her. He quickly captures her lips with his own in a possessive kiss. Showing her how much she belongs to him. He pulls back leaving only a breath between them.

"You my love, could be pregnant with an army and I would NEVER leave you... You are my everything, do you understand?"

At this he brings his lips back down to hers as the world fades away. The evening turning into another round of all consuming love making. Thankfully the wolves left realizing this was not their time to be there. The king and queen were alerted to a change when Goliath and Vatalanie joined them later on.

"What do you think Artemis wished to speak to our son about?"

The king ask as he leans down to brush Vatalanie's coat. The queen mirroring his actions on Goliath. Her lips curling upward thinking about the notion of her being pregnant. She just shrugs to her husband wanting to confirm before speaking her thoughts.

"I'm sure we will know soon enough my love... For now, let them be."
