***Talon's POV***
"Fucking useless parasite." Lutz yells as his boot lands in my rib.
"Looking for another meal, fatass?" Lyle spits once his fist collides with my temple.
"Maybe my fat cock down your throat can fill you. Faggot." Lloyd laughs while he holds me in a position of prayer by the roots of my hair.
Blood pours from my nose as blow after blow makes contact with my flesh. My right eye swells completely shut.
"No one wants a murderer in this pack. You should off yourself you worthless omega." Lutz slams his foot into my stomach as I scream in agony.
"Don't whisper a word or we will make your life a living hell, butterball." Lloyd threatens as he rubs my bloody face against his crotch.
"I'm already in hell." I spit blood onto Lutz shirt.
"You fucking cock sucker." Lutz screams as he punches my Sphenoid bone, beside my eye socket.
Pain seers thru my eyes and nose as puke spews from my mouth and bleeding nose.
Lutz pulls his leg back and punts into my jaw and my world goes black.
"Talon, sweetheart. Please wake up." I hear the soft bell tone of my favorite nurse.
I peek thru my left eye as bright fluorescent light blinds me into closing it again.
I hum so she can stop worrying. "Hmmm"
"Oh sweetie. What happened?" Nurse Jenny whispers. I feel her cool fingertips gently brushing my bangs out of my face.
"Tr-ain-ingg." I whimper.
"Why would you train? You're too fragile honey." Jenny chastises me sweetly.
"S-sorry." I mumble.
"You have been out for five hours. It's time to sit up." Nurse Jenny instructs as she pushes the button in my bed, elevating me to a sitting position.
"Mom." I whine.
"Your parents are in the cafe. I already told them you are awake." Jenny confirms.
"You have to drink something. You are dehydrated. Talon when is the last time you ate?" Jenny questions me.
"Morning." I reply.
"When is the last time you ate without puking?" Jenny argues.
"Can't remember." I whimper.
"Talon." Jenny whispers while she rubs my hand with her dainty fingers.
"Talon, honey. You need help. You are punishing yourself. You are destroying your beautiful body." Jenny pleads with me.
I know what I'm doing. I can't stop. I try. I try so damn hard.
"Talon do I need to admit you?" Jenny warns.
I shrug.
"Sweetie, why?" I hear sniffles as my favorite nurse drops tears onto my bare arm.
"Don't cry." I whimper.
"Baby, you are so beautiful. You don't need to do these things. You are perfect. Please stop." Jenny begs.
"I couldn't live with myself if you weren't here. You're my favorite." She promises.
"I can try again." I offer.
"Please, Talon. You want to be healthy. Don't you? You want your mate to be proud of you. He will want to show off his healthy mate." Jenny persuades.
"Yes." I shake my head and wince as pain echos behind my ears.
"I will get you some pain meds." Jenny pats my arm as she leaves the room.

A few minutes later Jenny adds a shot to my IV. I feel warmth seep into my veins and know relief is coming.
"Honey, Alpha needs me. I will be back." Jenny announces as she leaves the room once again.
"Talon." My Dad's voice enters the room before he is all over me kissing me and checking me over.
"I'm okay." I promise.
"Lies." Mom whispers.
"Who did this?" Dad demands.
"Training." I lie.
"Lutz." Mom guesses.
"Training." I argue.
"Stop denying it." Dad pushes.
"It doesn't matter." I shake my head as the pain meds swirl behind my eyelids. Dizzying numbness presents itself. I breathe a sigh of welcomed relief.
"Your twenty pounds underweight son. Are you starving yourself or purging?" Dad demands.
"Neither." I lie again.
"ENOUGH!" My mom cries.
"Don't cry." I beg.
"Don't lie." Dad issues.
"Both." I admit.
"Why?" Dad pleads.
"I'm fat. I'm obese. I'm ugly. I'm hideous. I'm a murderer. That's what everyone sees me as." I confess my sins.
"Talon Edwin Williams. That is blasphemy." My mom warns.
"It's true." I argue.
"You are smart, kind, generous, sweet, beautiful, a blessing, a miracle. You are our miracle. Please stop baby. Please." My dad cries into my shoulder as he cups my head in his hand.
"I'm trying." I promise.
"Try harder." My mom bellows.
"Okay." I confirm.
I whimper.
"What is it Talon?" Mom asks.
"Meka." I whisper.
"Is he hurt?" Dad questions.
"He thinks my mate is here." I shrug.
"Well honey, I assure you we aren't mates." Mom giggles.
The door opens and Jenny walks in.
"Mate." I whisper.
"Talon. What was that?" Jenny interrogates.
"My mate." I speak louder.
Jenny giggles. "Honey you have a couple visitors."
"Let them in." Dad agrees.
The smell of heaven hits my nose and Meka stirs vibrantly.
The scent is raw and masculine. I breathe deeply and warmth radiates thru my limbs.
Oh, my.
Cedar and nutmeg float thru the air like a warm Christmas Day. My eyes close. I shiver in delight.
"Talon." I hear the most modulated timber. It's deep and velvety. The sound of my name, illicits a tremor of divine pleasure throughout my body.
I feel a electric current sweep across my hand and tear thru my body as my fingers are wrapped in a rough collision of skin and warmth.
"Goddess." I moan.
I immediately blush.
"Open your eyes beautiful." I hear the pleas of the man with a voice as sweet as honey and hot as lava.
I open my blue eyes and Remington Fucking Mathews stares from above me. His steel blue eyes devour my cerulean blue.
I shiver in absolute elation.
"Mate, my love." Remington laughs a melodious symphony of notes.
"I'm sorry what?" I say. I don't know why. Maybe it's denial.
"Are you sure?" I ask incredulously.
"Oh yes. I am positive. You are perfect." Remington swipes his fingertips across my jaw.
"Mate!" My eye lids flutter as I inhale the scent of bliss.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Jenny slaps my arm hard as fuck. I whine.

"Sorry, sorry." She whispers as she rubs the stinging flesh. A growl rips thru the air.
I giggle.
"Sorry, honey." Jenny apologizes.
"Tell you what?" I feign stupidity.
"Okay, Einstein. Cut the shit." Jenny warns.
"It was my problem." I excuse.
"Bullshit." Five voices bark. I shrink into my bed.
"Um." I scratch my neck and groan as my fingers come in contact with the tender flesh.
"Are you alright? Gorgeous." Remington asks. His voice dripping worry.
"I'm okay." I confirm.
"He has a concussion. A broken nose. A busted eye socket. Two more broken ribs to add to the three that weren't healed yet. He is also severely malnourished and dehydrated. His blood levels are off. Talon is far from alright." Jenny lays all my shit bare.
"Thanks." I grumble.
"Hush your pretty mouth." Remington warns with a blinding smile full of white teeth.
I purr in revelry.
Then, I blush.
"You're adorable." Remington whispers into my ear. I purr again.
The room erupts in laughter.
"The Luna is smitten." Luna Cass giggles.
"You're Luna." I argue.
"You are next." Luna Cass confirms.
"Nobody wants that." I confess.
"I will spank you, mate." Remington threatens and I squeak.
"Talon needs professional help." Jenny announces.
"He sees Dr. Angela three times a month." Mom admits.
I groan in embarrassment.
"We will start paying for that. Talon needs to go twice a week. I have no doubt my son is the cause. That jackass is in so much trouble." Jenny grits out.
"Yes he is one of the reasons." Dad agrees.
"That's unnecessary." I complain.
"I swear to the Moon Goddess Talon Williams." Remington bites my earlobe.
I squeak loud.
"Remington! Behave." Luna Cass giggles.
"I will make sure he goes to therapy. My Luna needs some major confidence building." Remington promises.
"Do I get a say?" I whine.
"NO!" My five guardians yell.
I whimper like a small pup.
"Baby, this is for your own good. Don't you want to get better." Luna Cass pleads.
"Yes." I give in.
"Set up a meeting with Angela before you leave. Talon needs to eat six tiny meals a day. Don't push it. Watch him. He starves himself and purges." Jenny spills my tea into the Silver Moon sea.
"What's his middle name?" Remington asks.
"His middle name is Edwin." I roll my eyes.
"Talon Edwin Williams. You will not continue this destructive behavior. Do you understand me?" Remington asks in his developing Alpha tone.
"Yes." I whimper.
"Good boy." Remington kisses my temple and I flutter my lashes as tingles spread across my healing skin.
"How long until he is healed?" Dad asks.
"Normally, Meka is able to heal him fairly quickly. However, his lack of nourishment will slow down his healing substantially. I would say a week maybe two. He can leave and he can still go to school. But, he can't have anymore injuries." Nurse Jenny warns.
"Normally? How many times has this happened?" Luna Cass asks.
I throw my hands over my eyes.
"Too many." Jenny confirms.
Remington hisses and a string of curse words leave his mouth. It sounds like a sailor's prayer.
"My husband will insure that this is the last time." Luna Cass promises.
"How? How did you find out? How did you find me?" I ask.
"My birthday gift. Your scent was on the note. I searched for you and found your beautiful Chamomile and Sandalwood aroma on the three brothers from hell. By the way, thank you. I can't believe you remembered that I love poetry. That was eighth grade." Remington shakes his head in awe.
"I low key have an obsession with you." I confess.
"What?" All five people bark.
"Talon why didn't you say something?" Remington whines.
"I didn't think it mattered." I confess.
"I could have had YOU, two years ago." Remington complains.
"I didn't realize you would have wanted me." I admit.
"You are ridiculous. How could I not?" Remington stares at me so honestly that shame filters thru my features.
"I'm sorry." I whisper.
"No need to apologize. We have forever." Remington squeezes my hand.
"That sounds amazing." I mewl.
"Yes it does." Remington wiggles his brows.
I giggle and cough as my broken ribs protest.
"He needs to rest." Nurse Jenny announces.
"I'm not leaving." Remington deadpans.
"All of you are. Take him home. Feed him. Give him the prescribed meds and make that appointment. I want to see you back every three days until I release you." Jenny demands.
"Yes ma'am." I smile.
"Talon. Please take care of yourself. Don't forget how much I love you sweet pea." Jenny kisses my head and Remington growls again.
I burst into a fit of giggles.
"Behave Remington Marcus Mathews." Luna Cass laughs.
"You're in trouble." I sing at my mate.
"Not half as much as you are in." Remington smirks and I gulp audibly.
"Help." I whine.
My dad busts out laughing.
"This is going to be fun." My mom squeals.
"Not for me." I whimper.
"Zip it, handsome." Remington places a kiss on the corner of my lips and I want to move my face so his lips will make contact with my own.
I stay still and urge the boner in my pants not to raise to full mast.
Remington bends down to my ear and whispers so low that I am sure I only heard.
"I can smell your arousal." He purrs.
I throw my hands into my lap as my stiff member salutes.
Remington laughs and turns to adjust himself.
"Me too." I wink.
Remington blushes.
"Oh Goddess. You two." Luna Cass rolls her eyes and smiles.
"Let's get you two somewhere more private, please." My dad groans.
"Good idea." Mom co-signs his statement.
"Yes, lets do that." Remington winks.
I turn into a puddle and blush ridiculously.
Who would have thought? Remington Fucking Mathews is mine. Fan girl swoon.
Even if I got beat like a red headed step child, this is the best day of my life.
Thank you Moon Goddess! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I won't let you down.
