The silence between the two continued until Zach couldn't take it anymore and started to talk calmly.
" Mr. Abiñon, Sir, you must have known my relationship with Sam and the kids. We are here tonight as respect to you. I would like to marry Sam and give the twins a complete and peaceful family they deserve. And for that to happen, I would like to have your permission and understanding. To settle this feud that our generation doesn't know of. " Zach straightforwardly looking straight to the indifferent man across him. As soon as Gregory heard Zach, his eyes flashed darkly frowning the at the young man who dared to talk to him about settling a family feud and marrying his only son.
" A family they deserve? " Brows raising at the simple phrase. " Is a thieving family they deserve? " Gregory blurted which earned a deep sigh from Garry Welton. Garry quickly patted Zach's back then laughs at Gregory for saying the word thieving. If there was someone to be called thieves, it would Gregory and his mother. His mother was the start of all this mess.
" All these years and you seriously still don't have any idea. Thieving family? Don't make me laugh Greg. Your mother was the thieve here, well, I know you already know that but half of it that is. " Garry scuffs. He was the only one who knew, the truth that his stepfather had told him on his death bed as well as the promise to protect his stepbrother from that truth. Garry had respected the promise he made, all these years he had kept it as a secret even if it would mean his mother would be branded as a golddigger, slut, or a mistress. He hated Gregory for that, but he chose to keep the secret because he knew the brother he grew up with would break once it's revealed.
" My mother did everything for father but that old man didn't appreciate her or me. I was his only son but he never makes me feel that, but you!! You and your slut of a mother just wouldn't let go of him. . . You even manage to steal half of what rightfully mine and now your son with mine? It will never happen. " Gregory burst tightly forming his palms into fist shifting his resentful eyes from Garry to Zach.

" *laughs* This is why father doesn't want to see you even in his last breath. " Garry spoke already started getting irritated by the man's words. Hearing Garry had said, Gregory glared even more at him as if any moment he would throw a punch.
" You know why father didn't treat you as his son!? And why me instead of you? " Garry taunted a dangerous smile flashed into his lips as he glared back to Gregory. He sat there dignified, he refused to back down. Not anymore. Garry had been keeping it to himself from the moment he started living with the Abiñons until his mother and stepfather died. Gregory had never been nice to him and they had been secretly fighting each other for as long as they've known each other.
For many years, Garry had never thought he had the right to fight back but now, they were the same. Gregory and Garry were the same. No one was above each other.
" It's because you ruined his life. You and your mother. Your mother schemed against him and his beloved so she could live the life she wanted. You know what, you know this story already but it just makes me laugh when you call me and my mother a thieve when you're just as I am. "
" Oh cut the crap---"
" No! You cut the crap you ungrateful bastard! If it weren't for my mother convincing father, he wouldn't have given you half of his assets. " Garry revealed which made Gregory stood in fury, he wished to punch Garry from talking nonsense but thankfully Zach was alert and stood in a protective stance as well ready to guard his father. Gregory was the real son and Garry was not. Even if his father didn't love him, it doesn't mean he would deprive him of what was rightfully his.
There was a slight pause between the three of them. Garry continued to stare at Gregory's flaring eyes before he sighs deeply gathering all his years of pain and endurance.

" Greg, you were never an Abiñon. You never had the right. Nicolas Abiñon was infertile, Greg. You were not his biological son. Your mother Claudia lied to him in order for them to marry, shortly after he discovered the truth, mother, his beloved was already married Henry Curtis when her pregnancy was discovered after the rape issue. My kindhearted mother, convince Nicolas Abiñon stay with you two. So if there was a thieve here it was you and your mother, Greg! " Garry revealed all before signaling his hand and seconds later one of his men walked close and passed him a brown envelope. Garry then threw the envelope on the table before he stood up and face away.
" Read that Greg and learn the truth. Father felt bad for you and so he didn't want to let you know. He couldn't give you the love of a father you wanted but he still cared for you. Even in his last breath. But I have enough of you and believe you deserve to know the truth. " Garry ended then walked away leaving Gregory all stunned at what he just heard. He stared at the enveloped, his heart racing fast. The second both Garry and Zach's shadow left, he almost immediately picked the envelope. The moment he saw what's inside, his heart slowly shatters. It was two different letters, both handwritten by Claudia and Nicolas Abiñon, followed by a DNA paternity test result and Nicolas Abiñon's medical reports.

Meanwhile, as Garry and Zach walked out of the restaurant, Garry looked at the starry night and sigh a big relief. Finally, he was able to tell the truth. finally able to let it all out. Now, his mother would finally rest in peace. Garry was sure his stepfather will understand him for doing what he did.
Zach, on the other hand, remained blown away by what he just heard. He stared intently at his father but didn't say a word. Their silence was only shattered when his mobile rang. He looked at the caller ID and smiles to read it was Sam calling.
" Sam!? " Zach called smiling but his smile disappeared when he heard Sam's reply.
" What? Okay. Okay. Calm down baby, call Timothy and dad and I will see you at the hospital. " Zach replied trying to calm Sam from freaking out.
" I-It's been a long time since this happened to him, Zach. What if it's back? " Sam said with a trembling voice.
" Don't worry baby, we will find out what's happening to him. For now, you need to take Alex in the hospital. " Zach instructed which Sam nodded wiping the tears that had yet to fall from his eyes. Their call soon ended with Sam quickly lifting the burning Alex on his arms living Allen peacefully sleeping on the bed.
" What happened? " Garry asked, he heard Zach's conversation and got worried hearing the word hospital and Alex's name.
" Alex was burning with a fever and Sam was worried if it has something to do with his past illness. They're going to the hospital now, we'll be seeing them there. " Zach reported quickly. The both of them then drove the way to the hospital praying for Alex's safety.
